A great center for the performance arts. It'd be more awesome if they supported "T Coil" for those with hearing aids.

My sister and I went to see Itzhak Perlman. We live in Asheville and had never been to the Peace Center before. It was kind of hairy finding parking; we drove all the way up and down one parking garage and it was full. Then we found another one and parked where it said, “Reserved,” because it was late and we were desperate. We got to the Peace Center 8 minutes late but they had not started the concert yet, so we were grateful. It’s a beautiful venue with an airy and spacious lobby; and all the staff were very nice and helpful as we tried to find our seats. We were WAY up in the nosebleed section and Itzhak looked pretty small but the sound was very good. The seats were very comfortable and we enjoyed the concert. The restrooms were very nice and not crowded, even right after the concert ended. When we got back to our car we didn’t have a ticket AND we didn’t have to pay anything on the way out, so that was a surprise!Driving back in the dark on the mess that is I-26 was no fun. I think if I had it to do over, I would get a room for the night and get there in time for dinner. The area around the concert hall was packed with interesting-looking places and there was lots of pedestrian activity. Made me want to explore it.

We loved the show, The Other Mozart, at the Gunter theater. We are so lucky to have such a fine small performance space
