Great option on Johns Island for elevated and consistently great food and drinks. The interior is lovely, however my husband and I are sensitive to sound and prefer to sit outside since the acoustics in the space can make it VERY loud (I’d say the same about every other building in the same shopping center).

Came to this place after a day fishing and sightseeing. Caught fish. Saw the Charleston Tea Company and the Angel Oak. What an awesome finish to our second day in Charleston SC. Food was awesome. I had the Grouper. My wife got the lettuce wraps and we shared the Brussels sprouts. She had the chocolate raspberry cream brulee and I got Asian Donuts.
Thanks to the Woodruff staff for making us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. Well, we were the only ones.

Absolutely phenomenal food. Chef here had me eating all the foods I dont like, and LOVING them - same thing with my Fiance. Spectacular service in a beautiful space that makes you feel like family. I could list adjectives all day long. If you haven't tried this place you are sorely missing out.

Unfortunately despite many visits, they haven't figured out the service situation. One person does serving, clearing, hosting, etc. Leads to long wait times, people leaving without being seated, etc. We really wanted to like the place but 2 hours without dinner isn't realistic.

Local favorite for light bites and amazing cocktails. Awesome wine and bourbon selection, too. Menu changes and chef comes out to serve with the specials. Always a special meal.

I stopped for a quick cocktail with a friend and it was magically delicious. Definitely on the pricier side, but unique, well concocted drinks if you're looking to indulge and celebrate. I haven't eaten here yet, but I've heard the peach cobbler egg rolls are to die for! Great bar service and a cute atmosphere. Will be back for sure.

The food us fantastic.the Chef cooks with love and fresh ingredients which makes everything extremely tasty. The owner and staff was such a delight.
I highly recommend. Everything about The Woodruff was absolutely fantastic.

Between Chef Will manning the kitchen & Derek manning the bar, it’s impossible to leave the woodruff anything other than full & satisfied. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. Highly recommend trying the weekly specials and trying the smoked old fashion (even better with a rye).
