The guy who worked behind the counter with glasses lied to my face twice. I called in and asked if they accepted my type of Xbox the guy said yes. I went online and locked a deal in at the store. Management doesn't understand how to operate the store correctly. Regularly leaves other staff to cover the entire store by themselves. The only worker here that I actually like is Brody, he is always super helpful and knows what he is talking about. Outside of that, don't ever shop here. If you need to shop at a Gamestop please go to the one in West Ashley rather than here

I explicitly tell the employee working, "I want to trade in Game A and B for the $50 trade-in promotion. Then I want Game C to be traded in on top of that." Well, instead they take the two most valuable games towards the promotion and then trade in the least valuable to give me the lowest possible amount back. I didn't realize until I got home and did the math, come back, and the excuse is "the system". This GameStop is an absolute con now.UPDATE: Apparently they also just decided to cancel my order completely that I used the trade-in for lmao. No email, no call. I am honestly surprised this place hasn't gotten a lawsuit from the way they run they run their business. I reported the store to customer service, so hopefully they do something. I'm never setting foot in this place again.I would recommend the Rivers Avenue location. It's worth the drive. Infinitely better experience there.

Bought a series s, went home and turned it on to find the batteries for the controller were not only dead but the controller itself was broken. Tried to call several times ~an hour before the closed and got no answer so I assumed they just called it day. Tried to go to the west Ashley location because they were open for over another hour and half only to see all the lights off when I pulled in. Stay classy GameStop.

Was a great location for years. Not sure what happened. Opened 20 minutes late today. On release day, they don't have the game in stock. How are you going to let me pre-order a game and not have it on release day? 8-25-23

I came to this location today extremely disappointed in the level of service. The cashier sat at the register talking on her phone. Left the open sign off I would like to add, and when I mentioned it to her she was extremely rude. When more people walked in she said and I quote “Do any of you need help? Ok, well whatever.” And went back to ignoring customers and talking on the phone. I just left. Wasn’t worth it. I wiIl not be returning to this location.

They close early multiple times a week and will also randomly close for lunch time. It’s about time you start paying employees and you wouldn’t have problems keeping them

Google says they open at 10am on a Friday. The sign outside the store says they open at 10am on Friday. Yet, I stand outside the store for 45 minutes with not one employee in sight to open up. Every store in town center is open on time accept GameStop. I don’t think they comprehend how bad of a business that looks. Sure maybe they don’t get a ton of business in the morning, but you can’t just not show up to work on time when it’s a literal business with a set time of opening.

I preorder the re4 collector’s edition but it was unfortunately cancelled, not the fault of the employees, but the fault of the company. I went to get a refund and there was a mistake that happened when I paid off the preorder. Evan helped me and went above and beyond to make things right to ensured I got my refund. He took the time to call one of the other store managers and was able to give me my full refund. Evan was super great and took the time to make sure everything worked out! One of the best employees here!

Very disappointed. Was looking forward to getting Metroid Prime Remastered in a hard copy. I called to verify and was told they had plenty in stock and to come on by. I was at work at came by 1.5 hours later and they said they were out and that they definitely didn't have plenty in stock. I got off work early to come get this game.

They sold me a wrongly marked storage device for my Xbox. I wanted the 2TB and they had the 1 TB marked as the 2 and when I came back in almost a month later, due to me being gone on leave, they told me they can't return it or exchange it. Then they caught an attitude when I said I want to speak to someone higher and blew the whole thing out of proportion. Terrible staff and completely incompetent. MARK YOUR STUFF CORRECTLY!!!
