I've been in Mt. Plesant 4 yearsnow. This is the worst post office I've ever experienced. In fact this is like the only thing we dislike in Mt. Plessnt.

The PASSPORT GUY "DJ" is the WORST. Door to passport appointment says to wait in lobby and they'll call you back in. Appointment at 10am. So we wait there with kids and all until 1030. Then I go and knock on door to see what's up. He comes out to tell me to step away from the door. Ask him how much longer to wait. Won't answer. Just says in a voice they must teach at postal employee school "sir, step away from the door" Wait another 10 min. And then leave. People like DJ could never work a real job at a real company because they'd be fired for hurting business. But alas, the USPS is no such a company. Will get passports at MUSC.

Line of 15 people - one person working open to help- standing for a simple letter that my mail carrier left a note for me even though I was standing on my front porch- easier to stick a note in my box than walk up for me to take letter - always a terrible experience

Made an appointment for passport services and was pretty hesitant, considering all the poor reviews. However, Christine assisted us and was very nice, helpful, and patient. The line of people was extreme at the same time, and she was still very personable while under pressure.Always helpful to keep in mind that these employees at govt services have to deal with a lot and usually lack appropriate staffing. So treating them with respect will hopefully cause the same in return and make their day a bit easier. Thanks, Christine!

USPS can never get it right! Every time I have a package from Amazon that is coming from USPS, there is an “issue” with delivery and it never gets to me. Yet another shortcoming of the federal government.

I would give zero stars if I could. This was the worst postal experience I ever had to the point where I left (almost in tears) and said I would just see if I could do my application online. The guy who does the passport services is absolutely rude and it’s not worth time or gas it takes to get over there. I only went to this location because they were the only ones available on Saturday and I didn’t want to take time out of work. Don’t even bother going to this location, you’ll have better luck doing whatever you need at another location or, better yet, online.

I scheduled a noon appointment for a passport. The line was out the door with only two people at the desks. One employee came out and said," why is the line so long?" That person then decides to come out in help. Stood in line for 25 minutes just for an employee to tell me to go stand in another area just for them to tell me that I made a mistake scheduling. All in all it was 45 minute experience. Don't go there.

I had purchased a $140 gun part that is very rare off of eBay. I had been debating on whether to buy it or not for over a year, until I finally decided to in December 2023. The emails sent to me said that it would arrive in 3 days. So, I waited. Five days passed, and I finally went to the post office. It took 1 hour for them to tell me nothing. I then went back 3 more times over the next two weeks, each time waiting in line for an hour, just for them to tell me the final time that it was stuck in one of their carrier facilities. They then told me that I could either take out a $100 insurance, or talk to eBay to get them to file a claim. I have spent 1 more month trying to contact usps for them to explain to me how I could get eBay to file a claim, but I eventually settled on taking out insurance. I am now left with a month of stress and $40 less for a mistake they made. I’m still trying to find a replacement part too.

Post office held my mail 2 days before the hold was set to start. Couldn't get mail delivered after hold ended. Had to run after the truck down the street and ask the carrier to deliver my mail. Just got my Christmas card order yesterday that should have been delivered on December 22. Phoning the post office does no good.

I was trying to get Passport over the holidays as a walk-in and got sent back as there was only one agent. I came back the next day and again was sent back and almost left the facility. Mr. DJ Moore saw and remembered me. Although he was not working as the Passport agent during the week, he stepped up and helped me complete the paperwork and application process. Wonderful and pleasant experience at USPS Mount Pleasant

Worst EVER. Every single time I go. Find another post office, it'll be worth the drive

This postal service is the worst station. Lol. I’ve been lied to twice by the reps and managers in the station.I had a small bag package sent back for the sender marked insufficient address; aka, bad address. I go and ask the lady to please help me locate it before it gets sent back. She returns and says is this your address? I tell her yes and she says this is a bad address. My response was,”you guys created the address, you guys deliver to it 6 days a week, and your driver delivered mail this morning but marked this bag as bad address.”NO RESPONSE.I reship it and ask to go through UPS, but the vendor sends through DHL who gives it to USPS. I even tried to intercept it with DHL to reroute it to someone else or to me. Nope.Same thing happens. I go in and a guy manager says, you guys have to ship through Fetch. I’ve never been told about this, but I say,”Okay. I didn’t know that, but will do that from now on. But can you please grab my package or mark it to be intercepted and I’ll grab it Monday?”“Nope. It’s already sent back.”Me-“Your drivers aren’t back yet are they?”Him-“You have to go through fetch.”Why can’t you as an employee just assist me? Heaven forbid you waste a breath helping.I wish the government would pay Amazon or UPS to be the mail people.

Busiest post office ever, zero shipping supplies available and 20 people in line always with ONE PERSON working. Yikes!!! I’ve never experienced this before at a post office. I came two different times just to be sure this is the normal nightmare experience here.
