rented during the Thanksgiving Holidays. it was a very busy period. The rentral was easy, fast and got a nice vehicle. i did everything online prior to showing up at the counter. just had to pay, produce a DL and off i went. Staff was really nice, no issues, would rent again from this Budget

I walked up to the counter to rent a car after the car I reserved with another company was unacceptable. The agent was polite and relatively quick, but once he found out I'm from Pennsylvania, he made it clear that he doesn't like Taylor Swift or her music. I don't care about that, I was happy to get a nice rental car.

When we arrived in Knoxville there was a line of about a dozen customers. It took an hour and 50 min before we were able to approach the counter. They then closed the counter in the airport and moved operations to the parking lot. We then got a car. It had 42,000 miles on it. The “Maintenance required” warning light was on every time we started the car for the entire trip. The right front wheel/brake made a “whomp whomp” noise on every rotation. We were on a 15 day one way rental and the car made it but I would hardly say it was a good experience for $1500.

I don't typically post reviews, but this bad experience has to be noted. First, the wait at the airport Budget counter for pickup was about 40" because they only had 1 agent for most of that time. We were assigned a beat up & ultimately defective Taureg. It turned out to be a junker & struggled with the hilly roads. After a few days, the oil light came on. Fortunately, we were within a mile of the airport, so were not stranded on the side of the road. We returned it. Budget gave us a Nissan Rogue, which was a clean & properly functioning vehicle. From the way the agent acted, it appeared that customers having to return defective cars must be a common occurrence. Upon returning the Rogue (with a full tank of gas), I compared my initial paperwork to the closeout charge sheet. It was about $20 more. I called this to the agent's attention. She & several other agents attempted to remove Budget's automatic fuel charges, which delayed us entering the airport. If we had not been early in arriving to the airport, the time getting the bill corrected could have made it challenging to make our flight. I'm not sure what they eventually did to fix it, but I ended up with a few dollars under my initial charges (from picking up the car). So, excessive wait to get a car, the first car was a junker & oil light came on, upon returning the second car to closeout, Budget applied a fuel charge even though the car had a full tank which took a good while to remedy. The chances of us using Budget again are pretty slim.

Very dissatisfied. Only a couple hours after we picked up a vehicle low engine oil light came on several hours later low engine power came on I’m assuming because of your oil obviously the vehicle was never a check for oil cancer and liver. Rent budget again, very dissatisfied.

Budget in Knoxville is great. Car was ready and very clean at pick up very short wait. Returning the car was fast and simple. They e mailed my receipt within minutes. Overall a great price with customer service to match.

Budget saved us when Thrifty closed early and left us without a rental car at 1am. The gentleman who helped us said they stayed open late to get everyone from the delayed flight their cars. Now that's good customer service. The car was clean and well maintained. Would definitely rent from them next time we come to town.

After waiting an hour in the Budget line at McGee Tyson airport I inquired about my reservation (which was made two months prior). I was told they did not have the car I had reserved and offered me a mini van. I waited outside for another 20 minutes while an employee went to get the van. It smelled strongly of cigarettes. I drove it to my hotel only to realize it would not lock. I went to restart the vehicle to take it back and it took a few tries to start. I took the van back immediately to get another car. The budget employee told me he had a suburban. I said fine and this time there was no attendant and I was to go directly to the parking lot to pick up the vehicle. The suburban had a broken right tail light and the brake light was out. I took it back. When I went up to the budget desk for the third time the budget employee told me that he had no other cars to give me despite there being a line of people waiting on their cars. He said I could have the van back or if I got a ticket in the suburban for having a brake light out..”I’m sure my manager will pay for your ticket.” I would not leave the counter without a vehicle so finally after ignoring me and helping two other people in line as I was standing there, he offered me an electric vehicle. This was not ideal as I was not familiar with the area and I had plans in Gatlinburg. I took the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle I was told I was being charged for a tank of gas. I called Budget customer service and told them this and they took it off of my bill and also gave me 100 dollars off for the inconvenience. I will never do business with Budget again.

They charged us for gas, which we purchased. We put a copy of Receipt. We turned car in before they opened. We had an early flight. The mileage was wrong. They showed we put 300 miles on the car. When it actually was less than 100 miles. Still waiting on credit to appear on card.

The Budget location at the Tyson McGhee Airport in Knoxville, TN was great. The staff was friendly and efficient. There were no lines and we were in and out in no time, both when we picked up the car and dropped it off. We got a 2024 Mustang and it was a great rental. The Mustang got great gas mileage (we averaged about 37mpg) and was fun to drive. It made our trip better than we expected, partly due to this rental.

Fastbreak customer. Car was a new car with about 1200 miles. Rented a full size with example of Toyota Camry but got a Nissan Altima. Little smaller but not too bad. Car still had some food container trash in the front and in the trunk. Also the counter inside the airport was closed so all customers had to use the kiosk in the parking lot. There was no line for fastbreak so everyone was first come first served and it was busy. They were taking a lot of time finding the appropriate vehicles for people and only taking care of 2 folks at a time. Took over an hour to get waited on and then with being fastbreak all the paperwork and keys were just waiting so it took less than 2 minutes once I got to the counter. Seems like there should have been a more efficient process.

When I went to pick up my paid car, Budget would not allow my to use my bank card for the hold which can act as credit or debit. Do to the issue, I transferred the pickup to my Father in laws name. However, they just let him use his bank card for the hold with no issues. I felt profiled as a young female trying to pick up my paid vehicle when an older man was able to use his card as I asked to do and had no issues. It was very upsetting and clearly not a rule since he had no issues. I will never rent there again.

Poor experience with Budget twice now: the car I rented last time had no treads on the back wheels. It rained badly on my trip and the car was absolutely unsafe to drive. Drove 40 miles/h on highway and escaped alive to be charged an extra day for returning the car 2 h later . This time I booked a car via Priceline for 99$. when I returned the car - Budget charged me 174$. I called customer service and they said they will return the money in 3-5 days... after 7 days - there was no return. BAD SERVICE. Stay Away.
