Very interesting train depot with a rich history. A trip down the track to a turntable. Also a dinner trip to the mountains. All good stuff.

I love Tennessee Valley Railroad. I stopped to take pictures. And my surprise all the Christmas lights and Christmas things were still up. It was daytime when I took pictures. I loved seeing the trains also. I am looking forward to ride the trains again here. Rode it twice with my love in 2021. She loved trains also. ❤❤???

I took my toddler son to the railroad Museum today. It was awesome! My first time there too. I have lived in Chattanooga for a period of time and lived near it for nearly a decade and how could I missed out on going on this attraction? The employees and curators were incredibly nice, customer service was substantial, and the conductors were very knowledgeable and we're willing to answer your questions.I also want to say it's nice to see younger people interested in railroad history as well.I highly recommend anyone that loves trains and the history of trains and railroads need to come to this museum. This place will not disappoint.

We did the Christmas train ride the North polar Express they gave them hot chocolate and cookies. It was fun for the little ones. Not so much for the parents lol My 4-year-old enjoyed it. Overall we had a good time. Just wish the bathroom situations were a little bit better. They have trailers outside the women's side was completely closed because of overflowing and the men's was very dirty. It's not fun trying to take a 4-year-old to the potty and a dirty bathroom . They do have bathrooms inside but they were very small and overcrowded you couldn't get near them

This was an unbelievable experience! I’m so glad we took an evening train so that we could appreciate the Christmas lights a lot better. There was a little bit more of a delay than what we thought would be when we stopped at the north pole to meet Santa, but otherwise it was a truly magical experience. The only criticism I would make is that it is not clear That we needed to go to the depot to check in and get physical tickets.

My wife and I celebrated her 25th birthday by attending the High Tea! The experience was beautiful and the tea was fantastic! We rode the train and had a great time and good laughs from Jason the conductor! He answered all our questions and made the experience even more wonderful! All the staff there were so friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be returning!

My son and I had tickets for the North Pole limited on Dec 21 at 8:30 pm The ride really lacked the Christmas lights, the description said we would see. We rarely saw lights and saw mainly darkness, people's homes and trees. The main reason I booked the trip was for us to see lights. We were supposed to get back to the station at 9:30 pm, but it was 9:35 pm when the train finally headed back. I had no idea Santa would be there taking multiple pictures with every family. Although that was nice, it took way too long. A lot of kids looked bored, and fell asleep. The best part of the ride was that they provided hot chocolate, and cookies. But this train ride definitely was not worth the price I paid at all.

We came to Chattanooga for the day while on vacation my son loves trains and it was his first time riding a real train. He was so excited and loved learning about everything. The conductor was extremely friendly and when my son asked a question on the ride back he even gave him a patch for asking a question. It made it his day! Truly a great overall experience, my husband even loved all the facts as well and wanted to learn more!

I took my 3 youngest granddaughters out for a “night on the town” looking for Santa. What better way to travel to the “North Pole” but on the Tennessee Railroad. All 3 (3, 6,17) and myself had a blast! The cocoa, cookies and of course the sleigh bells that Santa left for them were all a hit! I did purchase the story book and received ornaments separately. I did not give 5 star because we expected to see more lights etc on the way. However, the staff was very efficient, timely, and enjoyable.

This was a horrible experience. We drove almost 2 hours for this trip. While on the train ride one of the " elves" made several jokes about amputees with my son who is an amputee sitting there! This is totally unacceptable for anyone to make jokes about anyone's disabilities, especially a child! I emailed the railroad and a lady called and asked me to call her back, which I have done serval times and left several messages and gotten no response.

Save your money totally not worth it stood in the cold for an hour because the train was late. Multiple people joking saying we should get a discount (probably should’ve). The tour guy started it off basically laughing at you saying “if you thought you were gonna see anything you’re wrong you’re going to see a tree, a tree, a tree”. 24 dollars a person (full price) to go 15 minutes not watch the train engine rotate because they didn’t tell you till you got on the train. Then 15 minutes back that’s it.

We love this railroad. The staff is friendly, cars and bathrooms are clean. This is our second time doing the Christmas train and it was very well organized. They definitely improved some things since last year. I have told countless families about the experience for Christmas and just for a fun outing. I can't want to take the kids back in the summer!

Was looking for something to do with a friend while she was in town for a short visit. I booked this and was not disappointed.Everything was wonderful, tables set beautifully , service was amazing and the food was delicious. You owe it to yourself to go to a tea here. This could be fun with ladies or a significant other etc . Perfect amount of time, looking out over train cars coming and going
