My husband and I became members of SSFCU back in about 1970. My best friend in life worked there at the time. We were always happy and pleased with how things always worked out. After my husband passed away I continued with Southern Security. My branch now is in Southaven and I love it. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I would not consider going to any other banking system.

I dont think it was right for my account too be closed due too me giving out my account information to a place that i thought was a loan company only thing should have been done was close the account i had and let me open another it wasnt my fault it was not right the way it was done and also the person that is over it gonna let my account stay open till i get my 25$ out of it and then it will be closed she went on and on asking why i didnt try for a loan with them its up too me too try too get a loan where ever i decide like i said it just wasnt right could have warned me if it happens again rhat it will be closed.

I just want to share an awesome experience with Southern Security Federal Credit Union. Over the past few months I had a financial experiences that really needed assistance with but did not know who to turn to. You know our God answers our prayers and he sent an angel Christine Cartwright. I didn't have to call.... She called me and expressed a genuine concern for a good standing member of the Credit Union. She called and said that she noticed a severe impact with my finances and offered to help and assist me with some of the Credit Union products offered to their members. She really showed that family member concern and has been assisting me throughout this difficult financial experience. I want to say thank you Christine Cartwright for going over and beyond your call of duty to assist a member. You are my angel and I am so thankful and appreciate you. Continue to bless other Credit Union members when they need you. Sincerely a Good standing credit union member.

We have been customers for about 40 years now. We have lived in several states ( now Texas ) since we lived in Memphis when we joined. I cannot leave a better review of my credit union than five stars but they deserve the solar system of stars. They treat you like family. They understand having issues financially and personally. They want to help there members and treat them like your a family member not just a credit union member. Christine Cartwright is a gem and a blessing and deserves a raise on top of raises. Thank you so much. My parents were with them for over 45 years and I will be too.

Professional, patient, understanding, and Kind.I would highly recommend Southern Security Federal Credit Union < SSFCU > !*Special Thank you to Marcus B. & Chad S., Managers of SSFCU----------- I first learned of SSFCU through my employer < MyCityRides >; and their mission of aiding individuals in their financial journey.My 1st year of college, I made < *Respectfully > "dumb decisions," and got multiple credit cards.Sadly, I defaulted/couldn't pay --> leading to a low credit score & debt for the close to a decade afterward.------Due to an accident that resulted in my family's 2nd means of transportation, I found myself in desperate need of another vehicle.- 1.) I applied to SSFCU; and was introduced to Marcus B. & during the holidays Chad Stark.- 2.) Both Men were kind, patient, reachable & fought for me -- understanding my little to no credit history & "dumb decisions" while in college.- 3.) In a respectable timeframe, I was approved for a loan & able to buy my 1st, 4 wheel vehicle ever!!I am now a proud SSFCU member, and sooo thankful to Marcus. B; Chad S.; & SSFCU as a credit Union

What an incredible credit union! I have my vehicle financed through them and I can’t be happier. I’ve yet to see a smaller interest rate. On top of all that, these guys go above and beyond. When Covid hit and so many were unemployed, they took the time with me to find out what my needs were financially and where they could be of service. Most recently, they’ve helped me get through a stretch when money was tight and EVERYTHING was over priced. If you’re looking for a new financial institute, you’ve found it!

I love this bank! The Collierville branch has been nothing short of amazing! Christine has been wonderful for us, and she’s always available! Even after hours, she has always been available to answer our questions or take our calls. Highly recommend SFCU :)

When I first became a member as SSFCU, it was to get an auto loan for my dream car, but little did I know, they would become my family's biggest cheerleaders. My greatest cheerleader being Mrs. Christine Cartwright. This woman is legendary. Read that again. Legendary. I've never had someone on the financial side of life go to bat for my family as hard as she has. She has pulled strings that I never thought existed. She listened to our story, heard our struggles that kept us from our goals, and make it her sole mission to help us overcome these obstacles. When you talk to her, the tone in her voice tells you how much she thrives off of helping people achieve the seemingly impossible. She cares deeply and takes you in under her wing like family. She finds joy in her line of work because it's life changing work that she does. Here's our story. I became a SAHM for 6 months, so we were living on one income. We traded my car in, and got a family car, and financed it through SSFCU. Things got tight, and credit cards began going unpaid causing our scores to dip. 8/29/21, our family car was totaled in a rear end accident. We had no GAP insurance on our car, so we were left owing a balance, and SSFCU wanted to clear that balance before financing another vehicle which is totally understandable. We needed a family car ASAP so we went to a dealership and financed ourselves into a complete mess. We couldn't afford two car payments so, I was told to call Christine at SSFCU to see if we could refi the balance of the totaled car's loan into a small loan. So I called her, asked if we could do just that, and she inquired about our situation, our new car, the terrible deal we made, and she immediately stopped me. She said "Here's what we're gonna do..." She gave me step by step on how we're going to get us out of this mess we got into, and my husband and I were all ears. We knew she was our only hope, so we did everything she asked of us. She knew our credit was a mess and why. She went to bat for us, and thanks to her, we can breathe once again. She and several others that she recruited were able to make a loan for us that combined our totaled car's remaining balance, GAP insurance, warranty, and our new car loan all into one loan and made it to where it fit our budget just right with a far better interest rate than what we were given at the dealership. They said they had never seen a loan worked up like ours in all the years they worked there, but that just goes to show how dedicated Christine was to helping get us out of that deal. We became faithful members of SSFCU that day. When we finalized the loan, she told us that we would revisit our debt situation after a few car payments and help us reach our dream of being homeowners. So fast forward to a few car payments later, and we received our settlement from our wreck. She was my first phone call after depositing the settlement into our account. She gave us the go-ahead to pay down credit cards, and told us that we will be in a home by the end of this year when our lease is up. She gave us a rough timeline of how this will play out, told us how much we needed to have seasoned in our account for a down payment, and we immediately jumped on board. We made a plan at home, made payments, did exactly what she told us, and I sent her proof of us paying down our debts. We wanted to show her that we were motivated and ready to make this a reality. The story stops there for now because that's where we're at currently, but this gem of a woman has been with us every step of the way to a better financial position and a brighter future than we could've ever imagined on our own. She made our 5 year goal into a 1 year goal. She couldn't possibly understand the chains she broke for us that once kept us down. The beautiful thing about SSFCU?
