Yesterday we were the first be to seated and first to have our order in. I asked the server if we could have a dozen of apple fritters to go. She said they didn’t have any. I then asked for six fried pies. She said I would have to go over to the store, even though the store cashier told me I could get the pies in the restaurant. The server did retrieve the pies. We then saw other guests receiving baskets of apple fritters with apple butter. One server even took a to go box of fritters to a table. We never got any fritters. We waited for six other tables to be served until we got our food. One table even got up to pay their bill before we received our food. My food was good, but my husband found a long dark hair in his pinto beans. I asked the server if she could bring me a meal to go for our sick friend. She said, “They don’t like us to do that, but I’ll see what they tell me.” Another very long wait, but we did get the food to go. Another long wait until we got our check. This restaurant wouldn’t last 30 days in Knoxville! We will NEVER go back and I caution anyone who does visit the restaurant.

This use to be a great place to come but it’s changed. They use to serve you upon being seated with a small glass of cider and apple fritters, after Covid no longer. \n\nThey tell you it will be a 60 minute wait and then take a bus of 40, because they had a reservations but they don’t tell you that. Now it’s finally your turn and your next and another bus load is seated before you. Now another 30 minute wait. Ridiculous.

The food was not to my expectations. I’ve been there several times in the past years. The food was great but this time it wasn’t. The chicken and dumplings were like chicken broth with dough balls. The cornbread muffins had no taste. Not even warm. The pinto beans tasted like right out of a can(not seasoned at all). The desert was a brownie that was so hard as if months old. Could not cut into it. I was terribly disappointed.
Myself and my two daughters paid for meals that we were not able to eat.
We each ordered several fried pies to take home. None met our expectations. They were doughier than any I have ever had with apple butter rather than fried apples.
I could say more but I think you have an idea what my experience was.

Good old fashioned home cooking. I had the chicken tenders and they were probably the best ones I've had ever. Big, juicy and cooked to perfection. Their home made honey mustard is absolutely delicious.

Waited for an hour and a half after the hostess said 20 minutes. Never got the call she said to expect. Had 3 hungry children with me decided to leave after watching another large party get seated, that I watched pull in while my family was waiting. Good food or not service was absolute crap!!!!!!!

Did not try the restaurant but apples i bought rotted very quickly and was not a fan of the pies. Wasn't what I was hoping for in an orchard.
