Ordered it to go pizza. Came in and set up at the front counter No one there. After about 5 minutes I went over to the bar and said I'm here to pick up a to-go order. The bartender rather than taking care of it said you got to go up to the front. To this I said well there's no one up there. She just kind of shrugged. I walked back up to the front and stood until someone finally came up. Pitiful pitiful customer service.

Great food, the worst service. 5pm Saturday night, they have 1 person for half the building. Even after telling the manager he needs help, the manager didn't get him any

I ordered a large pizza for the first time at this location. The building, display signs, menus and decorations look great, but their actions tell a difference story! The pizza wasn't cut and had no sauce on it. I'm a true Chicagoan and we don't get down like that! I spoke to the manager and he backed his staff because they are new. That's irrelevant! Common sense is easy street especially after I specifically asked them to avoid the mistakes they made. These guys don't have any basic life skills or home training. They need help. I rather purchase a frozen pizza. Don't waste your money.

It was good. The server was polite and reasonably fast. Food came and was exactly what we ordersed. The table top was sticky from varnish, but we could have moved.

Recently, my party and I visited Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom with high hopes of enjoying a pleasant evening of dining. However, what ensued was a deeply disappointing and disheartening experience that left a bitter taste in our mouths.From the moment we were seated, it became apparent that something was amiss. While the server attended to every other table around us with diligence and warmth, they blatantly ignored our presence. Despite attempting to make eye contact and signal our readiness to order, our efforts were met with indifference.As the evening progressed, it became increasingly evident that we were being singled out. The server made no effort to hide their bias, speaking animatedly with other patrons while pointedly avoiding our table. It was as if we were invisible, unworthy of even basic courtesy.The discomfort and humiliation we felt were palpable, casting a shadow over what should have been a simple dining experience. Our enjoyment of the meal was overshadowed by the unmistakable feeling of being unwelcome, solely based on the color of our skin.Discrimination has no place in any establishment, least of all in a place meant to bring people together over food and hospitality. Our experience at Old Chicago Pizza serves as a stark reminder that racism and prejudice still persist in our society, even in supposedly progressive spaces.In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom to anyone until they address and rectify the toxic culture of discrimination that tarnished our visit. It is my hope that by sharing this review, we can spark a dialogue and advocate for change in the way patrons are treated, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

We were told 10 mins wait for a table. In fact they have not set us and anyone else in 1 hour.

Food was great, but more importantly the service. Not sure about the rest of the staff but I can tell you if you’re seated with Ryan, you’re in for an excellent experience. He was great with refills and a hard worker. Always been a fan of Old Chicago in my hometown, and happy to find a new go to spot.
