This morning 3/17/24 is the third time a housekeeper has knocked on my door asking if I was checking out a week early. I had called over a week prior to verify my check out wasn't until 3/24/24, and it was confirmed. This is getting very old.
I arrived on 1/28/24 and booked the room for two weeks at $119 a night. I extended twice, equalling 4 weeks, but not one person told me the rate went up to $189 for each of those nights. So I called and talked to whom I thought was a manager and got my original rate for those 4 months. Then, a week later, they knocked on the room door again, asking if I was checking out. When the front desk called me, I was informed no one had written anything down, so this time, we agreed on a rate of $139. Well, here we are again a week before check being told I can't get the rate $139 because no one writes anything down. I am about to tell my corporate office to totally avoid this place, and I will find somewhere else to go since its apparent they dont care enough to write this stuff down to avoid all this confusion.
This is also twice now my key has stopped working while I was walking my dog. And when I tell the front desk this is what I get a "do you have any I.D. on you" when trying to get them activated. Of course I dont. It try not to carry anything of value on me when walking around any area near Memphis. And why would I even carry a wallet when I am walking a dog outside of the building?!?

We checked Into our room and as soon as we did it had a moldy smell, I looked up at the ceiling on to be so grossed out by the mold on the popcorn ceiling. The lady at the front desk quickly switched us and in the new room there was pizza in th microwave which let me know that the kitchen wasn't properly cleaned. Bathroom had hair in the tub with a rust ring in the tub. The next morning we went down for breakfast and decided to opt out because 1 of the other guest had their dogs but literally sit on the seat at a table. I think there should be areas that dog owners have their dogs. Honestly they aren't paying customers and I feel like they shouldn't be in beds and on furniture. So maybe only some rooms should be rented for those guests. If you are going to have pets you need to deep clean each room, each time!

This isn't the Ritz Carlton, but surely even you know that. These rooms are a solid 4 out of 5 for families, business trips, or families with small (not really crawling children).
From what I can tell the hotel is entirely pet friendly. I have literally never noticed a "dog" smell in any room. We've traveled winter through this July for business one week at a time, each month.
We find the rooms to be VERY spacious for our opposing work schedules. The hotel is quiet, or has been for all of our visits.
Parking. There is ample parking! The back way out of the hotel (away from Perkins, right at the back and a right, through med complex) is the easiest way to head onto 177 (Germantown Road) or a right will head you down Wolf River.
I usually skip breakfast, but my husband loves the jars of oatmeal and other morning offerings. On Wed evening, there is an hors d'oeuvres time. Generally soup, wine, beer and (I think) other snacks are served.
This is not sublime, vacation perfection. There are stains, there are some sounds, there may be a musty "southern" odor. Bring an air freshener (i recommend Goose Candle Company room sprays). If you are germophobe, stay home!! or be a decent person, shut up about it and bring a wipe or two with you.
All in all, these rooms look like they bear the stains of family vacations, visiting pets, and a certain warmth that only a familiar place and a Perkins restaurant nearby bring.
Folks, especially folks with kids. This really is a decent place. We've stayed here so many times. I have had no "problems" like in a past hotel stay in a nearby city. If my husband and I were back in the early 2000's traveling with a son, I would have chosen this place easily!
Great for people who need "space" on vacation.
Great for families with small children who eat specific things at specific times (full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave) to cook or heat anything mandatory for kids who absolutely need that sameness to function.
PLENTY of room to move things around for corralling kiddos, teens needing alone time, one central location for a home base on trips.
This really is a neat place, in a neat town!!

The room was pretty nice and the staff was very polite. It’s in a good location and there’s plenty of parking. I will just say the sofa in my room had a few stains so perhaps upgrades on the furniture are needed or get them deep cleaned and I wish I could’ve been able to close my curtains because I like darkness.

Exactly what you'd expect. Clean comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The conference room is a tad on the depressing side

Rooms are outdated. We stayed in room 201. There was either candy or crayons in the lights above the kitchen table. The furniture in the living room looked like it was there for over the last 20 years. The pocket door to the bedroom didn't slide easily. The shear curtains could still be seen after we were able to close the curtains for the night. The fitness center wasn't a fitness center. There was 3 pieces of cardio equipment. I was able to get a guest pass at the front desk to a local gym. Breakfast wasn't great. The eggs looked like they had nuked them. Breakfast is served from 6-9. It would be nice if they served breakfast until 10. My party and I were on vacation and we don't always want to wake up super early to run down for breakfast.

This place was a bit old and not as clean as some 3-star places, but I always check for bedbugs, and there were none of those — phew! It’s roomy for families, and the lobby is nice, which makes for a better breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast was good.
