This is an awesome place.. The BAM thrift store supports the guys at TEEN CHALLENGE. It is a ministry that helps guys with substance abuse and addiction issues. They wash cars, grind coffee and sell unique items that you will not find at Walmart or Target. It is in the heart of the Memphis Medical District Madison and Cleveland Street. Support the Ministry that keeps guys out of trouble, out of jail and on the path to freedom that only Jesus can provide.

This place is dope. Not only is it super affordable but it’s also filled with rare finds — when I was there I came across a pottery kiln and a vintage vending machine. It’s a thrifter’s dream...

Very friendly and polite staff. Wish there were more I could do to help. Genuine good people. And wish there were more places like this that supported more people with addiction issues.

Great place. I hope someone will invest in cleaning services for their clothes. Even a good cleaning of the building would be great!

I was not impressed with this store. And some of the things I saw for sale in there should've been put in the trash,it was junk!

Location is convenient and the people are genuinely friendly. I've been there during a busy rough day and they changed my day. One time I was short a dime, not a problem. When I came back to Memphis I paid them. I witnessed them assist a person who arrived with a grocery cart who needed clean clothes they can afford. I've found new items including my now favorite hiking pants. It is worth stopping by just for the coffee.

This place was really disappointing. The clothing section is very lackluster. Items are organized by color but the brands are mostly Walmart and Target. Not what I'm looking for when I'm thrift shopping. The housewares section isn't much better. If you're in the market for mismatched glass ware then you might want to check it out. But otherwise you're stuck with glued together china and ash trays. Definitely wouldn't waste my time here again or suggest it to anyone.

The honestly can work on being more welcoming, tidy up, use their items to decorate (making things looks more appealing) and update their pricing. Things were definitely over priced and the store was junky. I was greeted with a Hello and that was pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed the music More than 3 people huddled around the register area and as I was looking at a pitcher with basin (items around the store were not priced also) I gently sled it towards me and maybe two or three gentlemen (faith based statement) were talking to and about me - yelling from the huddling register space they never moved from. I asked how much the items were and I was initially told $600 and I said, " For the pitcher and basin (which had a toothpick engraved letter B on the bottom of it) someone said, "No the table is $600." Another person said, "Yeah it's $600 (and yelled some other details). The first person said, "No it's $49 (I believe, yet he could have said $40). It was exhausting, what was amusing to them was just exhausting to me, I just wanted someone to tell me a bit about it, find out if it was authenticate and move forward from there. Any who, I bought some nice fabric pieces (2 for $1 woooowhoooooo) that I can repurpose and add some flare to some spots in my daughters home here in Memphis. I hope they have a better look on my next visit- it's a huge space and I was so siked walking up from the parking lot.

The selection is huge and clothing is extremely cheap. Easily the best place in the area for used clothes and vintage furniture if u dont mind looking around bit, thought the service can be inconsistent.

This is my favorite thrift store in Memphis. I always find great stuff here, often designer clothes with the sales tag still on. The employees are always friendly and helpful and the store is well organized.

Girls when doing your thrift store traveling stop here!!!!!! It's a young men Christian ministry. You'll find great bargains and get a $5 car wash while you shop. Oh dont forget to get the Colombian coffee that they grind serve and sell there.

I really would not call it a thrift store if you’re going there looking for furniture, anything else perhaps the prices could be considered thrift. However, for furniture the prices are excessive and priced more like a vintage/antique store .. and even then some prices are still too high. I’ve found comparable furniture on Buy Sell Trade for less than half of what Bam wanted for their stuff. Decide what you are...a thrift store or a collectors resale shop

I love this place. I always feel great supporting a really good cause, and this is an excellent Ministry with an excellent cause. I have bought a piano here, bookcases, a beautiful entertainment center that was probably thousands of dollars originally, a dining table, a gorgeous leather sofa, a beautiful candelabra, many books, many unopened DVDs including National Geographic collection from the 60s forward, a complete Portuguese language immersion set, glassware including stemware and shot glasses, and many other items over the years. It's an excellent non profit to donate to as well as an excellent thrift shop to buy from. Whether buying a unique antique at the shop, or furnishing your 20-somethings first home (etc etc etc) this is my FAVORITE thrift shop in Memphis. The best part? No matter how much stuff you buy...whether one big furniture item or a whole houseful... THEY DELIVER. Just $30 flat fee no matter how much you buy. The men are very respectful and hard working, it's a great cause, and I refer it to anyone looking to buy furniture, household items, and even clothing.
