Freshest local ingredients and beer in a casual laid-back venue. Plenty of space to chill and spend a morning or afternoon. The sandwiches, pizza, and salads are all delicious and well thought out. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. This place is perfect!!Food: 5/5

My hubby and I had heard this place was really really good. He even read that it was in the top 100 restaurants in the country on Yelp! I hate to admit we were doubtful about how good it could actually be, considering they sell mostly sandwiches and pizza. Oh we were so wrong! This place was delicious and we will definitely be back while I’m working here in Monteagle! I had the pickle pie and it was so good!! The crust of the pizza was thin and just the right amount of crispy! I loved the pickles on the pizza, they added a delicious flavor along with all the other toppings! Very well seasoned! Everything had such wonderful flavors! The desserts look amazing also! I cannot wait to go back again so we can try everything on the menu!!

Easily the absolute best pizza I have ever tasted! I’ve wanted to try this place for a while but it’s usually closed after a full day of hiking. Today was finally the day! Everything exceeded my expectations from the whimsical murals, gift shop, friendly staff, super cool vibe and most of all the best pizza in the South! I might even be tempted to say the whole country but I’ve not been everywhere lol. It’s definitely better than what we had at Ray’s in NYC!I grabbed a Nutella espresso coffee on the way out and it was perfect!Thank you Mountain Goat market for one of my top 10 best dining experiences! We will definitely be back when we’re in the area again!

Have to visit every time I'm in town. The best sandwiches, salads, and soups. I've heard the pizza is excellent also.

Loved the food, didn't try their coffee. Casual seating that encourages sharing a table when it gets busy. Most everyone had the pizza. It looked and smelled amazing. My cubano was scrumptious and the broccoli salad refreshing and crunchy. I was a little disappointed with the store though. I seemed a bit too political for me. I would definitely recommend going if you are in the neighborhood. I'm getting the pizza next time!

Mountain Goat Market is a hidden gem. We ate so fast we didn't even take pictures. Philly cheesesteak was great and so was the green goddess sandwich! The bread is so thin and delicious! Also, the oatmeal cookie with frosting is a must!

This place is very unique it's huge and has really cool stuff to look at. A big variety of food to choose from I'd have to say the pizza is amazing. And then when you're standing in line they got the desserts in front of you so I tried a lemon coconut dessert which was so good. I probably should have given three stars for the service. The workers are younger kids more like an assembly line without eye contact. I think they should work on their eye contact and interacting more. But other than that it's a must place to go to if you're in monteagle Tennessee the pizza is great.

This is a very cool sandwich, salad, pizza, baked goods in Monteagle, TN. It is conveniently located just a couple of minutes off of the interstate. The ambience is cool with and ample seating area indoors and out. I ate the dill pickle pizza. It was spectacular. It was recommended to me by a customer and I'm so glad I stopped in!

MGM IS PHENOMENAL!!! I currently live 30min away and it's worth every minute of the drive. They have all kinds of sandwiches and salads and pizzas that are so unique and fun, yet so flavorful and well made. I would eat lunch here everyday if I could. Now for the desserts! The desserts are really what keeps me coming back to this restaurant! They have so many over the top desserts and I haven't tried one I didn't like. My favorite so far is the turtle cheesecake. So rich and sweet and prefect with a glass of milk. The restaurant itself is pretty big and the artwork on the walls fits so well with the college nearby.

Maybe the only other option in monteagle aside from the 4star restaurant but luckily it's delicious. And cute. And delicious. And super cute! Sandwiches, beer, kombucha, sweet treats. Yum!

More like a 3.5/5 but unfortunately half stars aren't an option.Took a road trip up to Monteagle just to give this place a go after hearing lots of positive hype. Clearly, word has spread, because they were SLAMMED at around 11:45 on Saturday, and lines got worse / hadn't died down from then till when we left the area around 1:30. Parking was a little challenging due to the restaurant's popularity.Luckily, it's a fairly large and spacious restaurant. The actual market/gift shop type space is on your right as you enter. You place your order at the counter. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu consists mostly of deli type sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. They have a very impressive array of desserts in cold bars and on the counter -- cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and more.Despite being pretty busy, the line moved quickly and we also managed to have a fairly easy time finding a spot to sit. Price was ~$30 for a sandwich combo (sandwich, chips, drink), the smallest size pizza, a slice of cake, and a second drink, so decent prices! You're given a buzzer that will alert you when your food is ready. The girl who took our order was...surly and not very communicative. But luckily we knew what we wanted and didn't have any questions, so...it worked out okay.I had the Blazin' Club, which is Buffalo chicken, pepperjack, lettuce, bacon, tomato, and mayo on sourdough. I asked for no tomato, which they accommodated. I settled for Miss Vickie's sea salt kettle chips for my chip choice. I know it's neither hip nor healthy, but idk what so many sandwich places have against just having regular Lays potato chips available. It's really all I want, lol. The sweet tea I drank was nice and had a good tea flavor. As for the sandwich, it was alright. I'll say right now I think my parents and husband out-bought me with their pizzas. The sourdough bread was nice, but frankly, I didn't think the sandwich had much flavor outside the bacon. A couple of bites were pepperjack-ish, but no sign of Buffalo flavor and honestly not any heat to the sandwich, either. It wasn't terrible, just not what I was really expecting. The pizzas were pretty good. Husband got the Goodfella - basically a supreme style pizza. Fresh toppings, gooey cheese, crispy crunch. Wish the pepperoni had been smaller - these covered almost the whole slice. Parents had the pickle pie, which was the best item of the experience. Creative, interesting, sour and salty. Nice combo. For dessert, husband and I split some kind of chocolate / Mississippi mud type of cake. It was decent -- good moisture -- but wish it had been more chocolatey. My parents were too full to eat dessert then but their later report on the turtle cheesecake was simply "good."Overall, an intriguing and fun place to stop, and perhaps the best option in the area for a tasty, unique bite to eat.
