Not directly related to this location, but the company overall. I went to one location, that I had a reservation at for a 26" with 2 dollies, they had neither, they called "traffic" and sent me to another location that they said would have everything. More than halfway there, I get a call saying I had 2 reservations and they wanted to confirm the location I was going to, and I told them the location that the representative had set me up for. I get to that location, and guess what? They didn't have a truck, had a old broke down dolly and one furniture dolly left. That location called up the road to another location this location that I'm leaving the review under, we'll thank God because they had the truck we needed. Of course it was 2 pm when we got it. So because it took us so long, the people assisting us in the move, were only able to help for a few hours. So our move got delayed until the next day. Well, that caused us to have the truck longer, making us incur more charges. Needless to say, if i ever have to move again, I'll just pay a moving company.

John W was a great customer service rep! I did have some issues with the emergency brake on the car hauler activating during my travels when I struck a severe bump on the road. However, John did honor taking 1 day off my daily charge bill for my troubles in having to wait for U-Haul roadside assistance to fix the emergency brake. Plus he assisted me every step of the way attaching and detaching the car hauler when I came to the Madison TN facility. Great facility and great customer care here!

I ordered online, the first place was very sketchy. Didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there. I called the 800 number, they changed my reservation to Madison. It was a very good and smooth experience. Thank you!!

John, Kayla, and Jordan are awesome. Was having problems with trailer hookup wiring and John helped troubleshoot and replaced my lighting hookup all in one visit. Definitely recommend these guys.

Rented a trailer and had a great experience with staff both for the vehicle inspection prior to rental and pick and and drop off. I will be using them again!

Went in to very unprofessional staff. Plan on having a flat if you pull in their lot. Nails, screws, and tacs everywhere. If you've rented from them and had a flat I would encourage a refund. I walked 20 feet around my truck and picked up 13 nails and screws. Told employees and he couldn't of cared less. He was real friendly towards the black customers but wouldn't greet me. He seemed racist towards me cause I'm white.

. I have done quite a bit of business with them in the past including installing a trailer hitch. Service has been good in the past. Today I rented a trailer from this UHaul location. The service person had an attitude and was not friendly. She was also not knowledgeable about her duties. It took 5 minutes to scan my license. She had trouble putting chains on the trailer. And she could not find my electric wires from my tail lights. I repeatedly told her they were under the bumper. She insisted on checking in the back of my van in the well. I had to move my equipment for her to check there for wires. Finally I crawled under the bumper and found the wires that I insisted were there all along. She had me hit the brakes while she checked the lights. Then she walked away without saying anything. I got out of the vehicle and walked back to the trailer and she came out of the office and said I was free to leave. I asked her if I could ask her a question. She said yes. I said what time am I expected to return the trailer and I said I was not happy with the service she had given me. She then raised her voice and made a scene in the parking lot. I left. She needs to be replaced.

!!Do not let them touch your car. They “tried to” install hitch on my car and messed up 3 things. Engine under cover is missing, did not put mufflers right so it’s leaking and missing muffler heat shields. And funny thing is they never get to install it on my car and told me “it does not fit in your car”.They don’t even have a lift but just ramps.I went to inglewood mufflers and they did the job quick and professionally. I should’ve came here in first place. Don’t make the same mistake like I did

Jerry & staff were so helpful & accommodating. Jerry helped me select a10-pack of XL boxes & 2 rolls of tape compatible with my tape gun. Jerry and staff loaded the extra large boxes into the back area of my Audi convertible! Way over and five customer service expectations!

This morning when coming in to purchase boxes. I walked in to see three reps at each terminal. I was not greeted, nor acknowledged. As I approach the front desk to purchase a bundle of boxes, one worker left the front and the other two kept working together loudly. As I stood waiting for them to either acknowledge or conclude with their process. neither happened. When I asked if anyone is manning the check-out, one worker snarkily replied, we we're waiting on you to get off the phone. As someone who has worked in retail since 2011, you do not have to wait for someone to get off the phone to GREET them as they walk in the door, its supposed to happen as soon as the door is opened. Also, if a customer is standing in your line of sight for an extended period of time, it is GOOD customer service to ask if you can help them... regardless of if a phone to their ear or not. You don't have to completely stop what you're doing, but just acknowledge the human being standing in front of you. This is not the first issue with CS I've experienced at this location. I'll drive a little further to get better customer service.

It all started a few weeks back when my mom went back and forth to the Madison, TN location to buy $1000+ of shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, packing paper, frame protectors, etc.). Because of all the money she spent, the manager offered a verbal employee discount for the moving truck. Fast forward to a week ago, when I made the reservation for the truck by phone. Based on the size of my house (I was only asked about square footage, not about attic/basement, specific furniture, etc.), a 20’ truck was recommended. Then I was called last minute and told the pickup location had switched to White House, TN. When I arrived there, I called the Madison location 10x about the discount, but no one answered. I was forced to drive down there only to be told that nothing could be done since the reservation wasn’t in the manager’s name. The best they could do was give me $10 of moving blankets. I then drove back to White House to get the truck. Meanwhile, the movers I hired to load it were waiting for me on the clock at my house. When they were three quarters of the way done, they told me my truck was too small. Either I could go back and get a 26’ truck or a 6 x 12 trailer, both of which they thought would be sufficient, but neither of which they could help with because they had another job to get to. So, I had to wait until they filled up the 20’ truck, after which I wasted gas driving it 30 mins to Madison to hitch a trailer and 30 mins back to my house. Everything about that place was poorly run, but I’ll save that story. At this point, I was denied anything for my troubles and was stuck paying more money for two rentals and two insurance policies when it would have been cheaper to have rented a 26’ in the first place. Finding a moving company in Nashville for the small task of loading a trailer on a weekend last minute was impossible. So, with a bad back and no bed or fresh clothes (these were packed), I had to stay an extra night and load the trailer by myself the next day and drive it to TX the day after. Coordinating the unloading process with my mover in TX was a feat because he had other jobs in place that I had to work around. Of course, the kicker is that the trailer was also too small to fit the remainder of my stuff, which means I have to make a SECOND trip to Nashville and drive another truck back to TX. Throughout this entire ordeal, I was never told that a one-way move came with a free one-month storage unit rental at a until AFTER I already reserved a space at a different location. Naturally, I canceled the other unit I had bought, and went with U-Haul’s free offer. Fast forward to my arrival at the Harry Hines U-haul 4pm on Sunday. The office was closed, and I had 3 movers there to help me unload 4 bedrooms’ worth of furniture. There were no dollies anywhere, I had been on the road since 3am, it was over 100 degrees, and no one notified me that the units had no AC. Now I’m worried that my antiques will warp, crack, rot, etc. On top of that, the unit was way too small once again, so I had to book another unit up the road. Every time I’ve called U-haul to see how they can make good on this, they try and send me up the chain. Never again will I use U-haul.
