Honestly the most authentic food I've had. The carne asada and carnitas tacos have to be the best I've had. Always excited to come back. Awesome food and service.Food: 5/5

The marinated Steak and Shrimp Fajitas were really good. Got Fajitas for 2 and it was a wonderful generous amount that my kids devoured before I could get some getting back home. If you like Fajitas come try these ;)Food: 5/5

Had lunch today with coworker, food was good and the service. Once our checks were delivered and we was waiting for our change, we were visited by a roach just crawling around across the booth. Mind you this was daylight and in a well lite area, this roach was completely comfortable. I thought they wanted to lurk in the shadows, but not this guy.

We dined at Amigo’s last night, Saturday night, the first time in years and were sorely disappointed. Compared to other Mexican restaurant competitors here in Spring Hill, Amigo’s falls short in three areas: Value, Service, and Flavor. We came here because Tito's had a 30 minute wait time and Amigo's had immediate seating. That should have been a red flag.1) Value: The amount of food they give you compared to the price you pay is NOT a good value. I wanted an enchilada meal. Out of all 6 meal variations they offer, only ONE comes with rice and beans. Most adult meals from places like Don Arturo’s and Tito’s comes with RICE AND BEANS. If you want a side of beans, it’s an extra $3.50. The kids meals are overpriced and are not given a lot of food. The menu says their for kids up to the age of 12. My 7 and 9 year old were still hungry on the way home. They got a taco meal which was 1 taco with a side of rice, and a quesadilla which was one fajita sized tortilla filled with cheese and folded in half with a SMALL side of rice and beans. My third son got macaroni and cheese. $7.99 for essentially Kraft macaroni and cheese is ridiculous. Red Lobster charges less for the same exact thing and you can get fresh vegetables instead of fries. My husband ordered fajitas that was mostly vegetables and little meat. The shrimp were few and very small.2) Service: Service at Amigo’s is hit or miss. I’ve dined here with both bad and good experiences which shows that they are consistent at being inconsistent. We waited about 10 minutes between getting our drinks and having our order taken. We waited so long we asked for more chips because we ran out. We had to flag down a server passing by our table to ask where our server was. Food orders should always be taken when the drinks are brought to the table. The biggest wait time should be between the order being taken and food is delivered. Our server would blurt out a “Everything ok?” As he sped past us on the way to the back of the house (BOH), never taking the time to hear our response. This happened about 5 times and the only reason it happened so often was because he HAD to pass by our table on his way in/out of the BOH. The food runner was the one who refilled our son’s water when he ran out, and got the missing plate to our table.3) Flavor: another inconsistency. I couldn’t tell you confidently that Amigo’s offers better tasting food than other Mexican establishments. Their corn tortilla chips don’t have that distinct corn masa flavor. My chicken enchilada’s weren’t dry, but there was no strong flavor indicative of Mexican food: cumin, chiles, oregano, coriander, ect. A big complaint I have with something overall concerning the food is that everything is too spicy. It’s like the executive chef assumed that because it’s Mexican food, everything should be spicy, right? The salsa we got with the chips when first sitting down, the queso dip, the pico that came with my plate and the salsa verde on my enchiladas were all too spicy and none of which were labeled as being spicy on the menu. I personally prefer heat between 500 and 2500 Scoville. But the salsa was too hot and most of us at our table did not eat it.My review from 6 years ago:The service is usually good. I've visited and had bad service before. The food is pretty good and they have a good kids menu. They were understaffed when we went last night. There was a mix up with table seating but they gave us a free cheese dip and we had a good meal.

We were gifted a gift card for amigos since we had never been. I've got to say; this is one of the best gifts in a while. The service was excellent and the food was even better. If you are reading this review you should definitely give this place a try.

Amigo’s is our favorite Mexican restaurant! The guacamole is amazing and their pollo con queso is my favorite! My wife loves the shrimp tacos. The kids love their enchiladas, tacos and rice. We haven’t had a bad thing there!

They send us a coupon through email for 10% off every month or so. We used it successfully in February, but keep getting emails saying there's a new coupon and it says redeemed in February.... So why are you sending me emails saying it's a new coupon 10 months later?? Every time I try to redeem the "new" coupon, it says it was redeemed in February. When I come to pickup orders I always have to wait an extra 10-15 minutes because it's never ready within the time they say it will be, doesn't matter how busy they are. Also every time I try to call to make an order no one answers.... Food is meh.

First time here, great food, great service. Server was attentive and quick, drink never emptied and food was piping hot. Street tacos were fire ?. Will be back again

This is a quintessential Mexican restaurant. They have the perfect chips and salsa for snacking prior to a meal (and they often give you a second basket unprompted). Their food is always good. If you're looking for the most traditional and ideal Mexican food, this isn't it. But if you are looking for what most people think of when they think of Mexican food? It's perfect for that. I haven't had a bad meal here yet. One note, the chili colorado is truly spicy, it's fantastic.

The waitstaff is awesome. Food is a 4+ star. Unfortunately, some customers are disrespectful of other diners. Yelling across from table to table and screaming is not appropriate in a restaurant. The worse was I actually saw a diner try to spit past our booth towards the table behind us. And then the laughs began again. Pick up the great food but do not dine in.

The food and service are pretty good, but there is no effort to control the noise level in the establishment. When we arrived a very large party had clearly finished their meals but remained in the restaurant yelling at one another across and between tables. We complained to the waiter who clearly understood the problem but management did nothing to deal with the problem. Shouting to the person immediately across the table meant even louder shouts to people at the next table. We will not be back.

Very busy but still got a seat as soon as we arrived. Our server was on it the whole time with drinks and food. Checked in frequently to ensure we were good. Ordered the Pollo con Chorizo. It's 2 flattened grilled chicken breasts with chorizo sausage and onions. Comes with a side of rice and beans. The star of the dish was clearly the chicken; which was moist and covered in crumbled chorizo and onions with a white cheese sauce. Couldn't finish it all so I took the rest home for a late night snack. I also ordered a piña colada daiquiri to go. Not overly sweet and barely can taste the alcohol but gave me a little buzz. My friend preferred the steak fajitas that come in a hot skillet. Whatever seasoning they put on it, it's amazing. I had a bite and I want to say I tasted a slight cumin flavor, which I love. Overall a very good experience and I would definitely return.

Food was good. Service left a lot to be desired. Few people in dining area, had to get up and order drinks from the bar ourselves. Sat with empty glasses for most of our meal. Definitely not worth the cost. Thumbs down.

This has become my go to local Mexican restaurant. The service is always prompt and the food has never disappointed. Even when there is an issue it is quickly addressed and resolved. It isn't even close for me when comparing to other like places in Spring Hill.
