  • "I've eaten here quite often in the past, no problems since my first visit. I love getting free pastries by taking surveys. It's also pretty nice packing some bread, butter, and jam to go. "
  • "Excellent food, many healthy options. Very clean environment that's well maintained. Very quick with food prep."
  • "Desserts have gotten smaller and price on the desserts have gone up. Not worth the price! I can go to Starbucks for a chocolate croissant that's a lot better for the price"
  • "Nice little place to spend a quite Sunday brunch. Friendly staff, and my order came out quick. I would come here again."
  • "Had a great quick meal here! Clean tables and free WiFi. Very pleasant customer service. The new peasant chicken and rice bowl is delicious!"

  • "Update: The place was quite dirty, staff has changed completely and people don't seem trained well. Bummer. Previous: (5 Stars) Very nice decor and feel. The food is surprisingly good. 80% of the time that I come here is for some Coffee with a Croissant and an omelet for breakfast. The pastries are good. If you haven't been here then go! Try it out. It is definitely worth the time checking it out. The chocolate croissant is also very good. Edit: (4/25) They've added some new stuff and overall service has improved since last time. Everything I ordered was cooked nicely and very fresh. "
  • "Great Sunday Brunch! Seasonal menu for summer. Good food & generous portions. Good spot for families. "
  • "Awsome place to be at..nice atmosphere and specially jelly and breads made me fall in love with place..food tasted great..it was first time for me and my wife there and we will definitely go back again.."
  • "Food Ok, service is pretty bad. I asked "what do you recomend" the cashier responded with "I really dont like anything from this place" then made everything on the menue seem boring and bland. I did get ok food but it was -B food at best. My mother in the meantime was given a sandwitch smothered in soup to soggy to even hold, AND HER CHIPS WERE SOGGY TOO. Im not saying stop going to al La Madeleine's but watch out when going to this one."
  • "This place is consistent! As a former employee, I can attest to the quality. Try the chicken Caeser sandwich on a croissant!"

  • "Visited to pick up to-go order. Service was quick and helpful. My food was perfect - quiche florentine, veggie soup and Caesar salad. Interior looked cozy and welcoming."
  • "The food is decent it's one of my favorite chains. Mushroom sauce is fantastic everyone should try it. The people they hire at the balconies location confound me. My past six to go orders have all missed part of my order. Today I ordered simple just a chicken Cesar salad got home, no dressing. I wait in line sometimes and literally see no staff for several minutes while people in line start to give up and leave. One staff member actually yelled at a customer, another walked away mid order. I wish corporate or management could find a way to make this location functional like others. Sorry for the negative review... It's just that I like la Madeline and I would love to go to the one next to my house and have one reliable interaction. "
  • "Ordered the salad sampler with a Cesar salad. Guy behind counter took two croutons that were left in the old salad bowl and put on mine because they were in the back and to get fresh would mean he would actually have walk back there! It didn't even phase him he did anything wrong! After I made a fit he asked if I wanted fresh croutons. Seriously??? Salad was odd tasting also like it had been sitting. Bad service!"
  • "Food was delicious. Definitely a different taste if breakfast. Mocha was a bit too milky burn the wife loved hers, so it may just be me. "
  • "I have dined here many of times. It's just not the same anymore. Food isn't ready they are out of foods. They aren't helpful when forgetting protocol such as where you get a coffee cup and would rather wait for me to walk back down the line for one rather then grab it herself. Very dissatisfied."

  • "Excellent food! Great happy service. The chicken Caesar salad was as perfect as a salad could be and of the temptation of the coconut cake was too much. It too was perfect. This was my first time at this location and it has been a few years since I have been to any of them. Now I know what I have been missing. Outstanding! The counter clerk was super friendly and the person who made my salad. I had to go back to tell them before leaving how much I appreciated the great food and them."
  • "Probably the best Quiche Lorraine you can get in Austin. The best breakfast item they have is the breakfast croissant with egg/bacon/cheese/tomato. Yummy! "
  • "Not the best. Really wanted to like this place but the lack of service and the ennui shown by the employee's is amazing. With the exception of the cashier who we have since discovered just transfered in from another location they all seem to suffer from the same melaise. Best think of it as a coffee shop with really expensive pastries. Probably ought to grab and go. Food is cold ill prepared, Service is rank and unprofessional, Management could care less. All in All as a cafe I'd say its a good place to park if the movie theater lot is full."
  • "Great simple place for French cuisine. Brunch is great with mimosas and food."
  • "Great place to get quick French cuisine with a few wine choices and great pastry choices. The only thing I have to hate on is that they are slow at cleaning the outside patio area so all the grackles are all over the place pooping on the tables. "
