The Oak Liquor Cabinet was one of the best liquor stores I’ve seen. They carry more and better store picks than most of the big chain stores. I love the fact that it’s locally owned and independent. Owner Raj is very knowledgeable

Owner is down to earth and really cool. The service there was second to none. Had us tasting some very yummy Rye's as soon as we came in the door! Very knowledgeable staff as well. Over all experience was freaking fantastic. Will be coming back when the wife and I are in the neighborhood!!! 🙂

Oak Liquor Cabinet is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Austin. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming vibe that sets it apart from your average bottle shop. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but it’s the owner, Raju, who really makes the experience special. He’s not only incredibly kind and approachable, but genuinely passionate about what he does—and it shows in every interaction.
The store picks here are consistently top notch—carefully curated, high-quality selections that never disappoint. Whether you’re a seasoned whiskey collector or just dipping your toe into the world of spirits, there’s truly something for everyone. And if you ask nicely, you might even be shown a few hidden gems tucked away behind the scenes.
It’s rare to find a place that nails both product and hospitality, but Oak Liquor Cabinet does it effortlessly. Highly recommend stopping in—just be ready to walk out with a bottle (or three).

Great selection, including store picks on bourbon, rye, rum, and I’m sure others. The prices are very reasonable overall, and the staff are always very helpful.

Oak Liqour Cabinet has some fantastic finds and bottles. I found this at a great price along with their Copper and Cask Double Oak. One of my favorite stores.

Started coming in a month ago and I've been back to purchase something every week since then. One of the absolute best whiskey selections in town and the owner and staff are super knowledgeable.

Was in town for work and decided to do some bourbon hunting. Saw this place on maps and figured it would have a solid selection. They have a ton of great barrel picks, allocated stuff and regular selection to choose from thats priced extremely well. If Raj is there, definitely talk to him and ask for samples. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for great store picks or interesting selections!

If you like bourbon this is the best spot in the city. Period. They have consistently great store picks and the whole crew who works there is very nice and knowledgeable. In the past few months I've picked up a Jack Daniels barrel proof rye pick thats outstanding, a Russell's barrel pick that was excellent, and a 1792 full proof pick that is a contender for my favorite bottle under $50 that I can remember.
They also have good prices and a wide selection for standard off the shelf whiskey and tequila. Usually a bit better than specs and twin liquors nearby.
Go here and ask the folks there what you should get. They will steer you right!

What a great store! I should have been going here for years. Their selection is great - way better than you might imagine driving by. The owner and staff are all friendly and cool as well.
I went there to meet a remote coworker who travelled up from Houston to pick up for a bourbon club. Got to try a few, including an excellent pick from Frey Ranch as well as the Old Forester 1924 / 12 year which I’ve not been able to get a hold of before.
I left with the Frey Ranch, which was superb but wasn’t even on my radar until my visit.
