I recently had the pleasure of visiting Petalos Salon for a haircut, and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight.First and foremost, the haircut I received from Joe was hands down the best of my life. Joe, the incredibly skilled stylist, listened attentively to what I wanted. Not only did he execute my vision perfectly, but he also provided valuable suggestions that improved my overall look. I left the salon feeling like a million bucks, and the compliments I've received since have been non-stop.Petalos Salon itself is stylish and inviting, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness and attention to detail were immediately evident, making me feel comfortable and confident in their expertise.What truly sets Petalos Salon apart, though, is the staff. Joe Becerra, at Petalos For Hair, is the absolute BEST !! I have been to 11–Different Hairstylists in the last 7-years (after my Hairstylists of 10 years moved away) and I never found anyone that could color / highlight / cut my hair as I wanted; UNTIL YESTERDAY!! Yesterday, was my first appointment with Joe Becerra at Petalos For Hair Salon in Brownsville, Texas!! First, the Salon is decorated so beautifully; they make you so comfortable and are so welcoming. The decor and furnishings are a mixture of items that make you just want to stay there in the whole vibe of it !! I met 2-Sisters, it was one of their birthdays, so, they were there getting their hair done, and, they had brought mimosas to celebrate, so, I had so much fun drinking a few mimosas with them and chatting. As the day went forward, I realized as clients came and left, that, Joe has a special connection with each of his clients; which, is a wonderful thing to see. I looked up the correct definition of this word: A Colorist. Definition is: A colorist has extensive knowledge of the technicalities of hair color, depth, and tone and works with a range of techniques, including permanent, semi-permanent, and highlighting. Good colorists are artists. JOE BECERRA IS AN ARTIST !! If, you need someone with the knowledge and talent to color and cut your hair as you want it, he’s the ONLY Choice. I watched him do 4-Haircuts, also, while I was there; Again, He is an Artist!! I can’t compliment him enough!! Thank You, Joe, for the wonderful color, highlights and cut, yesterday!! First haircut in five years because I’ve always had a bad experience. I called Petalos and Aldo answered the phone and was so quick to get me in and so sweet! I was there in 5min and immediately started getting my hair washed and then cut and styled by Joe. It was such a great and fun experience! I felt so welcomed and so happy I found my go to place for a haircut and from now on will start keeping up with Trims! Loved talking with Joe and Aldo! Both Sweethearts! I highly recommend Petalos for Hair. I went in wanting to get my haircut and styled for my fathers funeral service and the entire staff was able to help me take my mind off of the days events. I also felt very comfortable and not at all self conscious. Normally I feel like I don’t belong in a salon as professional as Petalos, but I felt very at home. Thank you to everyone, truly from the bottom of my heart. I will be returning in 12 weeks for the experience and for the comfort I feel with everyone. My hair feels amazing and I love that we did not have to cut too much length since I am growing it out.

I've been a Winter Texan for 4 years and finally found the right stylist for me. I've had some bad haircuts during my stays in Texas and feel fortunate to have found Joe! The salon has a great welcoming and friendly environment. I also loved the posh decor. The staff was very helpful and professional. I came to see Joe after many failed haircuts and hair color at other salons. Immediately it was evident to me that Joe was a master at his craft. I loved that he listened to my needs and desires and executed it beyond my expectations. Joe was also extremely knowledgeable and experienced! Amazing! Joe is amazing . He can handle a bridal party or prom day and still fit me in if I call in advance. You may have to book your appointment a week or two before, but the wait is always worth it . Fun and friendly staff . Good music excellent vibes . I drive an hour for these guys !

I remember a long long time ago a hairstylist did my wife hair blond which she didn't ask for but I guess people were doing at the time. She was so depressed and asked for her hair a little darker and they did but it came with a price the hair washer scraped her scalp so bad that blood was on her scalp. I guess some ppl can't admit they did a mistake. Good thing for Yelp many years later.

I booked my appointment for my mom who lives in Brownsville. The staff was incredibly professional and kind. They kept excelente communication with me. The process from beginning to end was better than I expected. They treated my mom so well, she came out of the salon feeling pampered and special.
