I came upon this store unexpectedly and fell in love. A portion of the proceeds to go to help Elephants in Thailand and they have so many lovely, unique, fun things - truly loved it and can't wait to return. Very friendly staff, highly recommend!

My neighbor, a retired veterinary professor, told me about this place that gives 100 % profits to elephant sanctuaries. I'm happy I stopped in. Love my new items and gifts. Ann was super sweet and allowed my dog to come in with me. Something for everyone on your list here and a purchase that supports elephants, the most majestic of animals.

I happened to be visiting my sister in San Antonio Tx for the Thanksgiving holidays. I didn't even know we were heading to the Peddlers Show in Fredericksburg then Comfort Tx for their annual Christmas parade. Before the parade we shopped at a few boutiques. I ran into this one here and absolutely fell in love with it. Even though I only bought myself and my sister the Elephant pants which we love, we will be back. Loved this place. A must visit.

I loved this store, it was such a surprise to find this kind of specialty focused on elephant conservation efforts in the middle of comfort Texas. However I fell in love with it, I got several shirts and sandals. What a great place to get a heartfelt gift for someone while helping a noble cause. Which I'm sure was the entire premise of putting it off the Main Street. The staff in both the main store and adjacent store were excellent they knew all about the products and the uses, it was so interesting how they the items all truly kept to what you would find and wear in those part of the world. I loved the whole experience, I encourage you to drop by look at all the neat stuff, and of course get something to help their cause.

I'd heard about the Elephant Storey from friends in Comfort. They were right -- it's an amazing store, especially in a small town--something you'd never expect to find. Great selection of cool merchandise, and the idea that profits help the elephants in Thailand...outstanding. BTW, I ran out of time, but took their card to get the website info; I'll be shopping online.

The clothing and gift items sold in this store are very attractive and beautiful to see. It is inspiring to look at the craftmanship of this work. I am quite impressed with what the owner is doing for the elephants. It is dedication that stems from a very charitable heart.Purchasing anything in this store is also an individual blessing for the elephants. It is really a donation to their cause. The items are more than extremely expensive and would give even wealthy people pause. Nevertheless everyone benefits, from the elephants to the people who help them by buying something and to the average person who gets to see this store's collection.

These unique stores, a gift and clothing store and a furnishing store, are a wonderland of unusual and quality items for sale from Asia and a mixture of antiques from the Hill Country of Texas. You can find different and fashionable items in both stores, even things geared toward kids. I visit the Hill Country at least twice a year and both stores are one of my "must visit" destinations. I am able to buy great gifts for my friends and family. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise. The most important and amazing part of this story is the owners run them as non-profits to advance the conservation of Asian Elephants, one of the endangered creatures on our planet. I take pride in knowing that my dollars are being used to support such an important cause. If you miss these stores, you've missed a real experience. Step in and say a big "howdy" to Ed, Joey, Bobby, Sam, Anne, Chris and Ben. Any of them will be glad to tell you THE ELEPHANT STORY.
