Our family staycation at the AC Marriott in Downtown Dallas was truly memorable, and this was mainly due to Dean's exceptional customer service, which instilled confidence in us about the hotel's staff. The pool is a delight, and our children had a blast during their swim, reassuring us about the family-friendly environment. The elevators are annoying and slow - the new technology is causing a lot of frustration with guests from both properties. The rooms are very nice. We used the pull-out couch for the kids, and they slept well. If you need the couch, make sure to ask for several extra blankets; it is paper-thin.While valet is not connected to the AC brand, the valet option is WAY too expensive—$50. Their new app wasn't working, so I never received my text. I had to spend 20 minutes working with them to find our car.

Rooms were ok but service wasn’t great and they don’t have doubled windows so you literally hear everything from outside . I felt like I had windows open the entire night. Wouldn’t stay again

Perfect place if you're looking for a clean, comfortable and fresh place to call home for a couple of days WITHOUT all the special attention you'd get at a 5-star luxury hotel.Rooms: The appearance of being new/fresh and clean.Safety: A feeling of safety.Walkability: Close to many places.

Broken shower heads, human feces and toilet paper all over the walks along the building. Overbooked with an autoparts company booked almost the whole hotel leaving regular guests with 45 minute waits to check in, long waits for elevator. Understaffed and get ready to pay $30.00 for breakfast on top of your $400+ dollar room with a view of a homeless encampment.

This was the worst experience I have had with a hotel. My girlfriend and I stayed there from November 16-19 and paid via Chase Travel before arriving. Upon check in, everything was great and our stay was good. The rooms were clean and the valet service was speedy. I really enjoyed the location and how easy it was to navigate the arrive. Bonus points for there being a Starbucks right next door.Upon checking in, I gave my card for incidentals and was charged $450. I spoke with the property manager and was told this will go away and it was just a deposit. Fast forward 2 months and multiple Chase Travel agents contacting them about the issue. They are now claiming that a different card (that I don't own) was used for the transaction. I sent them my statement and reference number for that specific charge and they have still not decided to make it right. At this point in time, I have accepted the fact that I am probably out $450 so I wanted to write this review as a warning to everyone:1. Book directly with a hotel and not a 3rd party (especially at this hotel)2. Do your business elsewhere because you will be made to feel like you are the problem and not them.3. Go stay at the Canopy or Omni because you'll be paying the same amount anyways once they double charge you.

This hotel is pretty okay and comfortable . My rating goes to the poor service at the front desk . This hotel is running some sort of scheme . I had asked for early check in because I have a gold membership and they tried to charge me $65. I called Marriott customer service hotline and then they automatically said it was free . SMH. Best believe I will be contacting corporate . The incompetent agent said it through chat so I also have proof of it . Also , the valet service people charged me $100 and didn’t charge my car after asking ME if I wanted a them to . Do better .

Rooms were decent and service was great! The connection with the residence inn makes it very confusing to navigate. We just stayed for a night but more than that I would have found someplace else.

After an attempt to try and change my room , they inadvertently canceled my room without notice. When I reached the hotel, they initially refused to reinstate the reservation due to their own error. After waiting 30 minutes, management finally relented and reinstated the room, but the whole ordeal was a mess purely due to AC's error. Management at this hotel is just a disaster.

I have spent literally months at this hotel. They do a lot of things right, the vibe and decor are great, good location, friendly staff. I really like the walnut wood everywhere. The elevators are dumb. The tablets shut off so if you tap them to get them to turn on you will hit a button you didn't mean to. They are too small to display all floors at once so you have to hit "lower floors" a couple times. Then it will say "car B" but it disappears from the screen in half a second, if there are lots of people waiting it can be too noisy to hear the letter so you get in the wrong elevator. Second, they have these euro-style square toilets in most rooms. They are terrible, they leave skids and the seats are flimsy and not securely attached. The shower and lighting controls took me weeks to figure out all the way, and the pool is too cold and small. Finally, the bar is high priced and not a great selection compared to other hotel bars in the area.Great ideas, but some areas of poor execution.

While the security is often overzealous due to the homelessness issues downtown I cannot more highly recommend a downtown hotel. Breakfast is excellent and the staff truly top notch.

The rooms were adequate, but I advise against staying here if you're on a business trip.Despite confirming an early check-in at 11:00AM through the hotel's app, the hotel staff declined when I called them. I understand that there's no guarantee for early check-ins if rooms aren't available.I then asked the manager if I could use an ironing board and an iron anywhere in the hotel, as I had a meeting at 1pm and my shirt was wrinkled from the flight. Despite my willingness to use these items even in the hallway, he refused and displayed an unhelpful attitude throughout the conversation. He did mention that he would ask the wait staff if they could prepare a room, but offered no guarantees.Having little faith in this, I reached out to a friend who lives in Dallas. He was on a flight but managed to remotely unlock his house for me to use his steamer. He also connected me with his girlfriend in case he lost flight service and couldn't unlock the door. I went to his house, used the steamer, and attended my meeting.Upon my return to the hotel, the staff still denied my check-in request. A different employee at the front desk mocked the situation of someone trying to get in early to iron a shirt, unaware that I was the person. The lack of professionalism from the manager and staff makes it clear that this is not a suitable place for business stays. I won't be staying here again. If you're looking for good service, I can connect you with my friend who provided better customer service while on a flight than this hotel did.

I’m just not a fan. It literally felt like I was staying in a hospital. the room was small and entirely too grey, and the lighting is very dim. The “aesthetic” of this place did not feel welcoming.

Completely unimpressed with this hotel. Started with confusing to find the right lobby, the sign pointing to the lobby was PAST the lobby entrance. If you get on the elevator without choosing your floor from outside the elevator, you are screwed. There are literally NO BUTTONS in the elevator. The rooms were "modern" and had nowhere to unpack. I've attached a picture, the room sleeps 4 and there was literally one small drawer in the entire room. No microwave. Terrible view of a parking ramp, another building, and some random guy trying to take pictures/videos of us. No room service. The bar/restaurant closed early because it was a slow night. Homeless people all over so did not feel safe to walk outside the hotel. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.
