No cars available in 3 locations, even after getting confirmations. Pathetic

Service is very nice. However, too much waiting in pick up.

Absolutely horrible humans work here. Reserved a one way confirmed rental with preferred status. Delayed flights and then super super rude Shannon&Lani (heard her tell someone else Kaylana) canceled my rental, lots of cars but claimed even though one way to SA was confirmed seemed to get mad when I wanted additional driver added— claimed “ other employees” not a manager told them they could cancel me. I’m the last two names on this picture of the preferred list — they tried to up-charge, laughed with this guy making fun of us loudly stranded because of Avis at 4 am, they refused to give me manager’s name.— just said “ all of them told them to cancel all confirmed one ways” At 5:30 when the opened, used my Hertz Gold Plus to rent one way to SA for same price. Never again. These two women were so horrible they should be fired, if desperate use Avis here otherwise Hertz or any other. Anyone from Avis who wants to ask me more, leave a number in reply to this. They didn’t care if “ contacted corporate” actually challenged me to.

NEVER USE AVIS, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU UNFAIRLY AND GROSSLY ADD TO YOUR BILL! WORSE EVER AND I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! THEY ADDED $69.93 FOR FUEL FOR A RENTAL THAT I RETURNED WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE STAR RATING I WOULD!

Even though I had a reservation at Avis (DFW airport), I waited in a long line at check-in. When I finally got checked-in, my car was not ready. The agent did finally come back to me and he told me he was “finding” a car for me, which was “better” than the one I reserved. The car itself was an upgrade that we found at the far end of the rental car line. The car was side-swiped on the passenger side along with a couple other dents that were marked. The car had not been cleaned inside. The motor also ran rough. I was very disappointed in Avis as I had always had a good experience on previous rentals. It was about an hour and a half from the time I arrived at the car rental center until we actually got to our car.

There’s never not been 12+ people in line, and never more than 3 people behind the desk. Somehow it takes each person 10-15 minutes to make it through their arduous process. This will be the last time I use Avis, more than recommend everyone to look elsewhere.Edit: they let a family cut in front of a line of 15 people - impossibly inconsiderate to everyone else.

A 45 minute line to pick up the car in DFW. Ridiculous!

Zero stars. Rude employees, didn't have what I booked, the car we got was filthy and the seat was all wet. Never using Avis again!

The car was a new 2024, it was great, the service to pick it up was slow, I had tried to check in early with my DL, and it took the front and back of the license, but would not take my picture. I did try several time. Dropping the car off was a great experience, there was someone right there to help us, tell us where we needed to go.

I was really pleased with my experience renting from them at DFW. My only complaint would be the need to have better staffing at the counter. I dealt with the “preferred” counter and it was a bit slow. However, on a good note, the return process was quick and efficient. I realized once I got on the shuttle that I had left my wallet in my rental (of ALL things to leave in the car while traveling)…. I hurried back to the counter and they were able to get a hold of someone upstairs in the return area to alert them of the situation. By the time I got upstairs, they already had it ready for me and I could breathe a huge sigh of relief. That was quite a nerve wracking experience, and I appreciated them helping me so quickly!

I specifically rented a minivan that could seat 7 people because that's what I needed for four adults and two infants. I booked it several weeks in advance so there would be no issue. When I went to pick it up the only thing they could offer me was a four-door sedan. After waiting around for a couple of hours I they were finally able to offer a Ford Explorer. Not ideal, but we made it work. Trip was cramped and infant seats only barely fit by moving the adult seat completely to minimum legroom.

Checked-in on 3/9 around 10 AM.-Long counter queues even though it was advance booking and pre-paid for(we waited in the line for 1 hr 30 min).Tiresome and exhausted process.-We saw one lady carrying a small baby along with her luggage for entire wait time.I really wished corporate has some special preference to handle customers with babies and toddlers.-Limited fleet choice in category.-Unanticipated charges.(concession recovery fee, customer facility charge, vehicle license recoup,Transportation fee etc..).-Found it not very straight forward spotting of return location.-Check in was quick though.-First and last time with Avis.

ZERO STARS. If you are looking for customer service or even basic information about your vehicle, do NOT choose Avis at DFW. Their staff is rude and super unhelpful.

Poor customer service, only 1 staff member at the preferred desk. Had to go back to counter after getting a message on the app and waited 20 min for service.

Dallas DFW turned into a 1 hour wait at the Avis Preferred desk. Next time I plan to go back to Budget Fastbreak
