*Disclaimer: I promise reading to the end will save you a headache if you are contemplating placing an order through Bassett*I placed an order in-store at the Bassett Furniture - Dallas, TX location in early September. The process was relatively simple and straight forward and I was told that my order (the top section of the Bella Bookcase) would be ready for delivery in mid-November. Great. Patient and understanding of any and all delays caused by COVID and the upcoming holidays, I waited until early December to call regarding the status of my order. I called the Katy, TX location (as this location is closest to where I now live), of which a woman informed me that as they are commission-based, she could not help me and I would need to call the store at which I placed the order. A bit upset, I called the Dallas, TX location. The lady that had initially placed my order in store answered, and mentioned they had been trying to contact me, but did not have my email address or phone number on file (odd, as I actually had to create a new account with them the day I placed the order since for some reason they could not locate my previous account that I had used to purchase a desk, chair, and the base of the Bella Bookcase). She input my information and told me that Annie would be calling on Tuesday to get my order scheduled for delivery. Still, a few weeks went by and I had heard nothing. I called back in early January (after the holidays) on a Sunday to get a new status update. I was told, once again, that Annie would be contacting me when she returned on Tuesday to set up delivery. Surprise - I had still not received any calls. I searched online and noticed the Bella Bookcase that which I had ordered was now on backorder. Concerned, as I was worried that this would further delay my order, I called once again on January 16. I spoke to a young man who elevated my concern to the store manager, Cynthia. Cynthia called me about an hour after I phoned in, and apologized for the delays. She told me that my order was scheduled to be ready January 14... Of which was new information, as I was previously told November, and then in December and early January was told it was ready to be scheduled for delivery. Cynthia told me that Annie would call on Tuesday (this would have been today, January 18) - but - to my surprise (? - if you'd even call it that at this point) I did not receive any calls to schedule delivery. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the initial day of placing the order was easy and I was very excited. For the remainder of this process? 1 star. Very unhappy with the communication and deliverance process that I have been provided.**I would not recommend purchasing from Bassett. For the price point, I would recommend Arhaus, Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn, of which I have had nothing but first-class customer service in taking delivery of furniture that I have ordered.

Lynda Bliss was our wonderful designer. She came out to our new house, at no charge, and then presented a floor plan with the new suggested furniture. Then the fun began when we played with fabrics she showed us. Oh, I love turquoise!

AVOID!!!!! I bought a sofa here about 18 months ago. It looks like crap. My husband and I are small people. We only sit on the sofa at night. My husband needs to use 3 pillows for added support. The customer service is crap! No one is helpful! They could careless that their product is awful. I spent more money than I ever should on this sofa that I now need to replace. It is only 18 months old. I should not need to replace a sofa after 18 months. This is b******** Avoid!!!!!!

Aubrey was great to work with! He made my husband and I feel at home in their showroom and took a lot of time to properly access our needs. After the visit, he followed up to ensure we had everything we needed to make a decision. Quality furniture, great service!

Last summer, we purchased over $8400.00 worth of furniture from Bassett. One of the items was a custom upholstered recliner. A little over a year later, the recliner literally fell apart. The springs detached and curled in on themselves rendering the recliner basically unusable. Furthermore, the fabric at the end of the footrest began fraying and ripping. We notified Bassett and they informed us we needed to submit photos of the damage. We submitted the photos that very day. It wasn't until 3 weeks later that I received a call from Bassett informing me that their team had reviewed our pictures and declared there was nothing they would do about it even though Bassett's furniture warranty clearly states that springs will be covered for 5 years after the date of purchase. At the time of the original purchase, we also bought the extended warranty through Guardsman (offered by Bassett). When Bassett declined to stand behind the quality of their products and refused to fix the recliner, we sent our claim to Guardsman. We are still waiting to hear back from Guardsman. If they agree to repair it we will have to pay for the shipping and handling of the recliner. If they don't agree to repair the recliner then we'll be 100% screwed. It should be noted that we don't have any young children and the only ones who used the recliner were my husband and myself. In addition, after our furniture was delivered we didn't receive an email or a phone call from the girl who sold us our furniture to see if we we were satisfied. Casey was her name. She pushed us really hard into purchasing rugs and custom pillows even though I had told her from the beginning that we were not going to buy any rugs or custom pillows. Bassett really needs to have a huge sign on their door stating, "BUYER BEWARE! OUR FURNITURE IS POOR QUALITY AND WE REFUSE TO STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCTS". Go a few doors down and buy your furniture from Room and Board or go across 75 to West Elm. We bought other pieces of furniture from those companies as well. They weren't pushy like Casey was and the pieces we bought from those stores are truly quality furniture.

Placed order labor day weekend. The sales agreement still lists 30 days for item delivery, etc. They verbally state that isn't the case of course due to magic covid. I was okay with that. However, the salesman stated the sofa fabric in question was not in short supply so that would not add a further delay. Today, 10/07/2020, we are informed production will not start until 12/15/2020 due to fabric shortage. He told us he specifically checked for that at the time the order was placed and it was not an issue. Now, it is. Between waiting what will likely be every bit of six months for a sofa and their little "mistake" I am thoroughly displeased with the Bassett experience and would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Based on the reviews it seems like minorities get the shaft and all the high reviewers are of the demographic one would expect. Going here today- so let’s see if I have the pleasure of eating my words. I hope I do.

When looking for great high end quality products, I have found that most sales people tend to not take young shoppers as seriously but Jeff Ferguson treated us like valued customers the moment we walked in. It was because of his great attitude that we will now be enjoying our new furniture ! Thank you Jeff, we will shop here again in the future!

What a terrible company with awful customer service. They have screwed up our transaction every step of the way except for the taking our money part. Ordered "solid wood" custom office furniture which was delivered broken, then they tried to tell us they weren't obligated to replace what was delivered messed up. Once they finally agreed we were told the replacement pieces were damaged in the warehouse. So we waited and waited with no update on when the third set would come in. Not only did the third set also show up damaged but their delivery guys messed up our stairway wall carrying down the original damaged stuff. Clearly a crappy product that is definitely not solid wood. It's particle board with wood veneer. Now they've agreed to just come get this garbage and give us a refund but can't even do that right. They only processed one of the broken pieces and we have to continue to call to ask what is the status of the rest. No one ever returns a call or simply does their job. We will be filing BBB claims and disputing charges with our credit card company. We'll take our money to Weirs where we can get actual solid wood furniture and great customer service.
