Super friendly service, incredible flavors and super creamy gelato. I recommend the milk chocolate, the white coffee, the mascarpone and fig, and the black sesame. Super cute interior for photos

Always love this place. Tastes like Italy or even better. Such an awesome wide variety of flavors, and they let you have unlimited samples (even encourage it), so you can definitely find the flavor for you. Clean atmosphere with fun and friendly decor as well as outdoor seating. Hope to try their ice cream cake one day! Maybe I'll request for my bday this year Documentation so I can track my flavor preferences: - White coffee: simply great - Sesame: embodies Asian black sesame flavor - Mango: very flavorful but not gelato - Hazelnut-based: tastes true to description

This place just makes you happy because the vibe reminds you that you are well taken care of. Maybe it's the countless selection of gelatos waiting for you in those fancy silver containers. Maybe it's the insta-friendly decor inside. Or maybe it's just the gelato that's uber smooth, not too sweet, and oh-so-decadent. Fig + Mascarpone and White Coffee.

Good Gelato, cool place and helpful staff.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Botolino! Their gelato absolutely just hits the spot on those hot, summery Texas days or honestly...anytime! I always look forward to coming here after shopping. The customer service is stellar, and their flavors are to die for! Mascarpone fig is a DREAM! So creamy! It's my all-time fave. I could not recommend this place enough!

Botolino Gelato Artigianale is a gelato shop in lower Greenville that happens to serve the best cold desserts in this Yelper's opinion. The location is great, the cakes are superb, but the gelato outshines everything including all the expensive chains popping up all over DFW. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food) Atmosphere - You can't beat the new pedestrian friendly Lower Greenville on a warm spring day or cool summer night. Botolino Gelato Artigianale fits perfectly in this neighborhood. Inside seating is limited to a row of stools that line the left wall while the right holds the gelato. It's a beautiful space and if there is no seating you can step outside to some tables. 1 Star. Service - If it's not busy I will taste as many flavors as I can even though I know what I want. The staff is friendly, helpful, and will offer delicious descriptions of each flavor to make your choice even more difficult. 1 Star. Food - My first experience with Botolino Gelato Artigianale was when someone brought a gelato cake to my house. After one slice I knew I had to head to the source. This review will focus on only one flavor - the White Coffee. This is the best, most perfect, delicious, creamy, cold treat in the world. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's really good. The cake I ate had a layer of the White Coffee so after one taste I was hooked. It's white and creamy and it tastes like the most perfectly sweetened latte. It is so good I don't care about the other flavors. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes Yes Yes Yes Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz. You get the idea. Yes, I'll be back. 1 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Food - I'll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the food. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

Great spot in Lower Greenville. Place is always spotless on the inside and gelato is consistently good. Dolce de Leche and white coffee are my favorite flavors for sure. 4/5 starts because the place is pretty pricey even for "craft" gelato. The smallest size is $4.75 and it is barley filled all the way. (at least when I got mine) Staff is super friendly and always offer samples of any flavor you would like!

Cute atmosphere, nice employees and unique flavors. Olive Oil ice cream is great

One of the best spots of its kind in the area. The place has a nice feel to it. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

The best gelato I’ve ever had, hands down. The White Coffee flavor is my favorite, and every other flavor I have tried has not disappointed.

Best frozen desert in dallas. Best ice cream or gelato I've ever had. The place is amazingly authentic and the quality is incredible.

This place is amazing ! Okay so we went here and just the decor inside is just super clean and pretty . Cute little art on the wall. And what's lovely is the gelato is made there it isn't frozen then brought there so it's fresh . They have vegan options which made me so happy. You go to a lot of gelato places and they don't have non dairy options but this place does and a couple at that . Their flavors are also non traditional which makes things fun . I had the red guava sorbetto and PB+J gelato which was non dairy . The creaminess with both was just beautiful and it was refreshing . The flavors were really there and it was delicious . I would def come back when I visit Dallas again .

I kept hearing how good this place is so when I was on Greenville I decided to stop by even after having a full meal and was already full. I tried a few flavors but had to go with the guava. I'm just a big fan of guava overall and theirs is fragrant and just the right amount of sweetness and sourness. It's reasonably priced and the service was great. They let you try whatever you like and we're nice about it. There were a lot of people inside but it wasn't confusing or took long at all. I went to a gelato festival few months before and got to try a lot of different flavors and concoction and actually got sick of gelato for awhile. I was so glad this place offers pure flavors between sweet and fruity. I really appreciated it. Can't wait to come back and try other flavors.

High quality gelato for a reasonable price too. Both times I've been here the employees were friendly and more than willing to give flavor recommendations and samples. Even for the smallest cup available, they really fill the cup as much as possible and you end up with a mountain of deliciousness. The interior is pretty simple but it's a great place for a date or to sit and talk with friends so long as you're okay with the stools they have. I highly recommend the Dallas Honey flavor that they have here. The honey taste is strong but not overpowering. I've also gotten the pistachio and almond and star anise flavors which were fantastic as well. The gelato is so rich and creamy, and I've never felt sick or bored of my dessert like I have at other gelato places. They have a great selection here so it's easy to find a couple of flavors that you love.

The perfect after dinner snack to satisfy your sweet tooth. Best part is that they stay open late. Come and get your typical strawberry or chocolate or mix it up and go for marscarpone and fig or white coffee. The flavors offered are switched out seasonally. On top of just gelato there were cakes in a display case up front that looked divine, not to mention coffee to compliment your dessert. The shop is small so seating is limited. The parking can be a little tough, especially on weekends and evenings since it's mostly street parking or paid parking, but totally worth it.

Overall a super cute gelato place with very rich gelato! I got the honey gelato and the PBJ gelato, both of which were very unique. The gelato is very rich though, so if you're not completely into thicker/rich gelato, you might not love their gelato. I still think it's definitely a place you should visit!! I loved the vibe of this place. I felt like I was at a very authentic Italian gelato shop! So cute and fun. I will be going back soon! I hear the fig gelato is good- will try that one next time!

Our favorite gelato and go to on Greenville! The story behind the place adds to the charm. We go here at least twice a month! I love the the white coffee but every flavor is special! They are always rotating with new flavors too! Simply the best!

Always delicious and creamy. Creative and classic flavors alike. 😋 I pass four or five different frozen dessert shops to go out of my way to go to Botolino.

So worth the consequences of my lactose intolerance! Botolino is hands down the best gelato I've had in Dallas. The flavors are incredibly rich and intense, and you can taste the real ingredients used - no cutting corners here with artificial flavoring! I honestly loved every single flavor I tried (and I tried a LOT - the staff is super patient and generous in their samples), and could get a full scoop of any of them. My favorites are the chocolate hazelnut, normal hazelnut (it's dairy free, which is a plus for me), Dallas honey, and pistachio. I'd love to come back and try more of their rotating flavors, like black sesame or matcha!

Wowowooww!! How did Dallas cope with gelato cravings before Botolino?! I like this place so much I've been here three times this past week. The customer service here is top notch. Every single employee is so kind and patient as I try half of their flavors. Some of them are more encouraging than others and volunteer that you can try as many as you want. The pricing is comparable to many other gelato and ice cream chains out there, but they do have a rewards program and will occasionally send out coupons via text. My favorite flavors are the gianduia (chocolate hazelnut), real red velvet, white coffee, pistachio, and dulce de leche, but every single flavor is so incredible and pure- you can't go wrong with any. Even their free pops for dogs look tasty. The flavors taste natural and infused with real ingredients. They have a few permanent flavors and many more on rotation, so come often to try them all!

I'm very confused. Why are people nutso about this place? I tried a few of their flavors and was less than impressed. Usually, I'm one of those ppl who can't decide on one flavor bc so many are so good---but here, I just went with the fig and marscapone flavor bc that was the only one that was just ok. I honestly would have rather not bought anything---but I didn't want to look like that ass who walks in for free samples and the jets. I got mine in a cone and hurried out. So, no, it's definitely not good enough (for me, and I'm clearly in the minority)... to warrant another visit. The lovely employee working that night though was sweet and professional and I really liked her energy.

Gelato in Dallas that's as good as it is in Italy! On my never-ending quest to try all of the ice cream and gelato shops in the DFW, I finally made my way to Botolino. WOW! Phenomenal gelato and wonderful customer service! They certainly deserve their Best Ice Cream in Dallas award and they are definitely my new favorite. It's hard to believe a little gelato shop on Greenville Ave could be in the same league as the finest gelato shops in Rome, Florence, Venice, etc., but they absolutely are! When I arrived at the counter I said "I'm so happy to finally be here!" and the woman behind the counter responded, "I am so happy you're here!" I was encouraged to try as many flavors as I liked (and boy did I take them up on the offer) and I chose Salted Caramel, Pistachio, and one whose name escapes me. All were delicious. I barely engaged in conversation with my friend until the cup was empty, it was as though I was in a trance. If you want the best gelato in the DFW, you've found it. I can't wait to return!

I honestly can not believe I have waited this long to write a review. This is by far the best gelato place I have gone to in the Dallas area. They make their gelatos at the restaurant and are constantly rotating/creating new and unique flavors. Sometimes it's themed with the season and honestly sometimes it's just a good flavor combination that they have put together. My fault for not writing the review earlier, I can only remember one of the flavors that I got and it was some white coffee ice gelato. However when i tell you I tried all the flavors they had to offer i was not disappointed if anything I shouldn't have tried any of them and should've chosen based off the names bc it only became harder to chose which two flavors I wanted. The guy working there was also really helpful in describing what each would taste like and which two pairings could go together. I'm so what glad this isn't close to my house or else I'd be making daily dessert trips here. They also have cake and tiramisu's that you can purchase for parties, friends, and honestly for yourself as well. PLEASE give this place a try I PROMISE you won't be disappointed.

Botolino's is a small desert shop located in Greenville serving up gelato, cakes and parfaits. Botolino Gelatos is a must try. Creamy, thick, flavorful. Every lick hits all the checkpoints and makes for an enjoyable experience. I got half salted caramel, half Stracciatella. The salted caramel speaks for itself and was actually the highlight of my experience. The Stracciatella is a composition of Milk Gelato and chocolate silver. This flavor was good but not great. To give you reference, these were my girlfriends reaction each flavor: Salted Caramel: "ooooooo, tastyyyy" Stracciatella: "mm this doesnt taste like anything" Regardless, I definitely recommend. Plus the environment is quaint and classy. I wont get the Stracciatella again but ill be back.
