Hair Time (formerly NuBeginnings) is a decent shop. However, some of the stylists to include the owner lack professionalism. I moved to the area a couple of years ago and wanted a stylist in the area. I called and made an appointment with the owner for late morning for a shampoo and style. My hair is in pretty good shape and I only needed a shampoo and style. I arrived on time .and the shampoo, conditioner and drying time were relatively quick so I'm thinking ...ok we're off to a great start!! It was about 1 o'clock or a little before. I waited for another hour by this time its 2 o'clock. and I'm still sitting ...shampoo, conditioned and DRY. I didn't get a perm ...just a shampoo/style. I wait for yet another 2 hours - mind you its close to 4 NOW!!! I can't tell you how many times I thought about just walking out and finding another salon. I'm thinking this is RIDICULOUS!!! AND I WILL NOT RETURN EVER AGIAN!! Needless to say my stylist NEVER came over to apologize or ask if I was ok. She finally called me to get my hair styled around 4 :15 or so in which I left the shop a little before 5 pm. The style was probably very pretty but I was so disappointed with the customer service recieved until I couldn't even enjoy looking good! SMH!!! Just a word of wisdom - NOBODY likes to pay for poor service. If I gave you this treatment how would you feel. When someone pays for a service, they at least expect good service . Why pay for bad customer service which is what I got. If you consider yourself a professional...ACT LIKE IT and if YOU as a business owner value your clients treat them with consideration. Most stylist make the mistake of thinking its ok for clients to wait 4-5 hours while having to endure all sorts of unprofessional conversations and treatment. BUT...ITS NOT OK- Be very careful what your clients hear, see and especially how they are made to feel..
