This place has the worst customer service. My husband drove all the way out to this location on 12/21 to pick up a reserved ham. The cashier told him a little after 6:30 pm that the "system was down" and that they would not be able to process any forms of payment for the hams. He asked "how am I supposed to get my ham?". They said, "just come back tomorrow". He had a coupon for $8 off a bone in ham if picked up from 12/19 to 12/21. I expected they would honor the coupon since it was their mistake/issue. My husband went back on 12/22 to pick up the ham (as they directed) and they would not honor the coupon. The supervisor on duty said to him rudely "I was here last night at 6:30 pm and our systems were NOT down".The employees here are inconsiderate. I have also been sitting on the phone for over 15 minutes trying to call the store to speak directly to the supervisor regarding this issue. Do yourself a favor and pick another location to pick up your ham.

I ordered our Christmas Ham/Turkey and Mouse Cake in November. I won't bore you with the details but HBH messed that up and we had to reorder, moving the delivery date to the 23rd. As of late morning of the 24th, we had received sides we didn't order but no ham nor turkey. Phone lines impossible to get through on, emails/chat non responsive and tracking system stating only out for delivery. I began calling local stores and found a ham/turkey at a HBH location about 5 miles from the house. I was truly grateful, paid the $90.00, oh did I mention that my order was $250.00 and went home. About an hour later, you guessed it, the meat arrives. Waiting until Monday, today and called. They said the tracking system stated it was delivered on the 23rd. I said why in the hell would I purchase another ham and turkey that will not keep and will have to be thrown out if the ham and turkey were there?! Multiple supervisors later they gave me $53 for the turkey and $10.00 back on my express shipping which I asked why if everything arrived on time...crickets. I will learn to bake my own ham and I have made it a mission to tell everyone. Not about the money, about the principal. They know their system was broken over Christmas. They know what they put people through. I assume many people were not as fortunate as myself and were not able to have ham and turkey on Christmas...oh well...

Bought a ham 3 days before christmas at nwhw location. No one in store which was odd. Sign up saying cash only because cc machine was down. Got a large ham and went on my way. Opened at chridtmas to find a completely unglazed ham. I then remembered they have always shown the ham before you buy. They didnt this time and product was grossly substandard although edable. Never never purchase from them unless you see ham first.

I only planned on making White Bean Soup for Christmas Eve....I called 30 minutes before they closed at the Midway/NW Hwy location and I was there 6 minutes before 4:30 (when they told me they lock the door)....well the door was LOCKED and although me and another customer (on time) knocked and knocked on the window, (we could see a light on) shortly the light went off. I was beyond upset.....I had NO CHRISTMAS EVE dinner to serve. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, especially on CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

We pre-ordered a roasted turkey breast for our Thanksgiving dinner and went to pick it up the night before. The place was swarmed and they were running out of orders. They ran out of out of our roasted turkey and replaced it with smoked. It wouldn't be a big deal except this happened to ~10 other people with pre-orders just within the 15 minutes we were there, and they were kind of rude to one of the reasonably frustrated customers.

In regards to your NWHWY location- I was so relieved to see the signs on your door requiring your customers wear face coverings. I think this is a smart move and gives your customers a small bit of peace of mind. So, I was surprised when I walked in to see the person helping me not wearing a mask. When I inquired as to why she was not wearing a mask, she became quite belligerent and over the top defensive and rude. She proceeded to tell me “it was none of my business and I don’t need to worry about it”then she waddled to the back room leaving me perplexed as to why someone would be so rude. I was amazed to find out that this rude psyco is actually your manager! She needs to be fired immediatley as I’m sure you have already had many complaints about her. I suggest you promote Lena who was beyond delightful and provided the height of professionalism. In this day and age I know more is required of food service establishments but I don’t think basic decency is too much to ask. And please tell the lovely Lena to never apologize for a white person again even if she is your blonde entitled hateful psyco boss...

The staff were really nice. The two hams I purchased were fairly bland and not really worth the price. I am not sure how both hams were not as good as in the past. It looked like someone sprinkled a few teaspoons of brown sugar on top of a cooked ham. When someone asks you where you picked up the ham for a family holiday dinner it is either a compliment or their asking so they don't make the same mistake as the host. I always liked this company's hams. This year they were just not worth the price. Not to make a rash decision and go to the big box stores by default. But, that is the plan rather than $85 for what could have been a similar tasting purchase at Tom Thumb.

I asked for a ham that would feed 7-10 people. The worker gave me a 7 lb ham. One lb per person? She didn’t try to help me. She tried to rip me off. Never going back to HBH because of that experience.
