We enjoyed our 8th wedding anniversary here and let me tell you it was pretty amazing! The service was great but the food was on another level! I had the lamb chops OMG! Delicious! The Apricot sour was fantastic. Will be back very soon to try other options on the menu.

Food was the worst afghan food I've ever had at any restaurant. If you want good afghan food then I'd recommend anywhere else. Afghan food is usually much better. I like the vibes of the restaurant though, it looked pretty inside. If you want a pretty place with really bad Afghan food then this is it. If the food was actually even close to being good then it would have justified the price. Reminder to others: Afghan food is normally AMAZING. This place does not do Afghan food justice, and I'm sorry for that.

It was the first restaurant at Dallas that I tried after such a long drive all the way down from California, and I really loved their food and environment.

Taylor, the bartender, was AMAZING!!! I can't imagine going to another restaurant now that I have been introduced to the best bartender in Dallas. The drinks he made and the conversation he had with us was just like the corner bar--honest, fun and fair in a time when transparency is not welcomed!Taylor, Thank you for making our trip to Dallas everything we hoped it would be and more. To the owners of Nora restaurant, you have hit the jackpot with the amazing Taylor AND the absolute BEST AFGHAN FOOD EVERRRR! Keep up the good work!!

While visiting my friend for her birthday here in Dallas, we found this amazing spot. The food is amazing, there was not one thing that our small group tried that we did not love. The flavors were amazing, the bartender who waited on us was also terrific. They surprised my friend with a delicious chocolate cake and handmade baklava, that was handmade by the owners young daughter and it was incredible! If you visit the Bishops Art area, I highly recommend checking this little place out.

Well, first impressions are important... I'll start with service. Service was the "know it all" type server, yes, some restraint, goes a long way in recommendations. The atmosphere could use some gardening clean up on the deck. We chose to sit outside at bar/deck. Beautiful potted plants that need dead plants pulled. I am one to take it all in...Started with a beer and moscow mule because I needed to warm up to a place you could spend upwards of $25 plus for entree, not feeling it... Back ti drinks, Moscow was heavy on the lime juice and hubby tasted, confirmed it needed more ginger beer. It is not too hard to mess up but, overconfident bartender, was happy to add more ginger, much better. We did get good food recommendations. Since things were too unpredictable, mostly I, decided we were not willing to lay done some heavy cash for the full deal, drinks, appys, 2 entrees, more drinks...we ordered the appy shrimp and the recommended chicken meatball appy. Shrimp was wonderful and hubby enjoyed his meatball a lot. I am sure hubby would have went all out, but I couldn't get past all the red flags. I want be wowed from the time I pull up to my seat. A good drink, watching the football game, checking out the amazing plants, great deck....If your food is this good, that is half the battle in the restaurant business. I could not get past my "first impression"...so saved a $100.00 plus.

This is my second trip to Nora as I live in Bishop Arts. The first time a few weeks ago was great as I came in with two of my friends and we hung out at the bar with an awesome bartender. He (sorry don't remember his name...he wore glasses)was awesome very engaging and made awesome cocktails. This time my experience was far from that. The bartender was not the same awesome young man from a few weeks ago; instead they seemed lacking in training or experience, and service. Unfortunately, worst Old Fashioned I have ever had. After finding the bar less than satisfying, we went to a table on the patio and our server was rude and soooo slow. I will be back just to see if the if the original bartender is working, otherwise I will go next door to ... any other restaurant.

My favorite location for delicious afghani food. Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. The place has a cool atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.

Since the Bulevadier was closed we decided to try Nora. Service was good but food was not, very bland with not much of a flavor. For the quality and quantity of food, this place is definitely overpriced. The lamb in the Qabili palao was dry and chewy. I also ordered chicken with yogurt, which came on a thin flat bread instead of a naan with 4 cubes of grilled chicken with a lot of grilled onions. Yogurt was more mayonnaise than actual yogurt. Even the desert was mediocre. Definitely did not enjoy the food.Regarding COVID safety; this place also needs to do more to keep their customers safe. The servers are wearing masks and tables are spread out, which is great but I don’t think the servers regularly wash or sanitize their hands. They need to put paper towels in the restrooms to dry hands and a hand sanitizer for the customers as they walk in after touching the door handle.

Excellent place for tasty Afghani food. Service is always timely even when they have a full house. I will be back with my friends. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.

Nice location for Afghani food. Super appetizing. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. This place has an awesome feel to it. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.

Do not waste your money! The idea is good the execution is soooo poor, I don't know what they are thinking when they bring a 32 dollar dish to you ICE cold! The service is poor too they are constantly on their phone! Does this place have a manager?Try the other restaurants in the area that worth your time and money.

This was Saturday night dinner.. before i get into the food i will talk about the ambience and atmosphere. Nice place, they had music playing very chill. Ordered the garlic shrimp, naan and the lamb shank. The shrimp comes on a bed of salad. The lamb shank was BEYOND tender!!! It literally fell off the bone. On a bed of saffron rice with raisins. The raisins added a perfect sweetness. And to finish it off baklava. The whole meal was excellent. And the staff was friendly too.

Having never been familiar with Afghan food, I absolutely love this place! It's romantic and cultural. My boyfriend and I love coming here for weekend dinners or special occasions. The service is so great, the staff is so polite, and the owner is very hospitable. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are very tasty. It's in the heart of bishop arts, so when you're done you can take a walk around the neighborhood! Nora's is a hidden gem and deserves more recognition for its amazing food and hospitality.

Outstanding location for quality afghani food. Definitely one of the best places in the area. The service here is friendly. The bill was reasonable I would say. I can see why they have so many good reviews.
