I love REI. This is a great store. Very helpful staff. I really wish I could give it 5 stars....but the lack of hustle at checkout is what is holding it back! Often 10+ customers deep and 1 or 2 people checking them out and being chatty. Again, great place to shop, just want a little more hustle at checkout!!

I spent a lot of money at this place over the last year. Now I find out they're union busters. Buh bye, good riddance. Now to return that $300 helmet I just got.

Usually I love this specific Rei but there’s a white tall ish lady in the clothes department who was a little rude to me the other day jp or something like that, she was just ignoring me and a lot of customers and moving clothes seems to be more important than helping customers to her and she doesn’t seem the best to be around , everyone else was really helpful tho and had a positive attitude. It’s your job if you’re gonna have a bad attitude then leave.

Today, Sunday 25 Feb 2024, was my first time going into the R.E.I. Store on E. Northwest Hwy in Dallas. I had been researching water bottles online, comparing different brands, features, etc. I lucked out and had Noah help me with making my final selection. He was very knowledgeable and kind. We decided on the HydroFlask in the color “Fir” with a twist off cap and a black bottom to tie it all together. I’d just come from a funeral, and it was pretty good of him to take time to explain the differences between Stanley, Yeti and my final selection. The R.E.I. Store is very nice, with a lot of great options for those who enjoy the outdoors. I joined up as a member, a $30.00 purchase that is given back in the form of a $30.00 credit towards my next purchase! So, essentially, the membership is free. The gentleman who rang me up was equally helpful, he was mid-aged but looked fit and the entire experience was very nice. A+ Service!Next time, I’ll buy a new pair of Hoka’s there!

THIS IS ALL ABOUT CHANLER . I hope that her name is spelled correctly!.. I spoke with her very briefly on the phone but from that moment till I actually came in the store. Chanler was all hands on. Very helpful, her patience was unheard of, and the act of service was of GOLD. She went out her way to see that my needs was met as a customer. She brought out many boots so that I could try them on, I didn't know my size SO she took the time to measure my feet and explain to me "in footwear talk" why it was important that I get the right size boot. Nor did I know what kind of boots I wanted, so she brought out many different kind. . Her knowledge about foot wear was right on time. I highly recommend this place of business. If you need any hiking wear .. Please check this place out.!!Chanler, thank you so much for making me feel like I mattered. I hope you know that this is from my heart and the world couldn't do it without people like you. I hope this reaches as far as God allows it. !!! Thank you thank you, thank you. Sincerely,C. Marshall

85% of the store is just overpriced clothing. The rest is junk along with a handful of sports related items. REI visitors go not to buy actual sporting goods, but just for the cachet of shopping there. It's just an overpriced, sports themed Ross or Burlington Coat Factory.
