Read reviews they were helpful.I got lucky and found also a Trader Joes next to the place. The owner knew the finest details of what i came to buy. He knows every Asian food product that gets made.I even sought out Mong people(Laos) dipping sauce for sticky rice. This guy has got all the ingredients and he offers you stories in brief on prep and storage as well.

I walked in to purchase my Thai ice tea powder. The onwer is a true gentleman. He walked me through the store explaining me about how he was maintaining it for more than 30 years and guided me on what i should buy to get perfect thai ice tea taste. At the end he also shared me few tips on thai cooking.
He reminded me that his store was just beyond the sales. Definitely coming back here !!

First off, while this store does sell to the public, please be aware that they have had to move their business model to mainly wholesale.
I had been researching Thai recipes for a few weeks. There were ingredients that I couldn't find in my neighborhood, I Googled what I needed & came across Thai Oriental Food Store.
Based on reviews I stopped in. Because this business is now geared for wholesale, if you already know what you want (or even know what dish you are trying to prepare) call ahead & speak with the owner. He will have your order boxed up & ready to go. For the items I bought, their inventory & pricing was exactly what I needed.
Even if you don't know exactly what you want/need, stop in anyway - especially later in the afternoon when his trucks have already made deliveries. Mention a dish and he knows what you need whether it is a short cut or old school.
I don't think I've ever had as much "fun" grocery shopping. Next time I am definitely calling ahead with my dish.
Oh, and bring cash. Dont make this lovely, knowledgeable man pay extra fees to accept your credit/debit cards.

What a great place. I love Thai Basil Fried Rice, and it's difficult to find Thai basil. This place sold me 3 cups of fresh basil for $2. Try paying that much for any type of basil elsewhere.
