We go to the good trouble to call and say we will be late dropping off. They said fine which was nice but on drop off this ass hat who claims to own the place comes over and says " i should have charged you an extra day" I said thanks but we called in and were told there would be no extra charge. He says F YOU. I was dumb struck. this a hole then starts threatening me with physical violence and claims to be armed. The implication being that he wanted to shoot me. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. These guys a rnt 2 stars for nothing.

The service here is so good. They open super early and were actually open before their stated hours the day I showed up. The man I spoke with helped me find a lower rate on a different dropoff location. The truck was clean and worked great.

Rented a 10foot truck. The truck wasn’t ready so they let me have a 15 foot for same price. But when i checked the bill they charged me for 15 foot truck. They lied! Trick me. Not going back again.

Update: previously gave them five stars, but unfortunately, I'll need to update that with an unfavorable review. First, given an estimate of over $400 for something that actually costs $100. Got that sorted out. But then had "reservations" twice that fell through when the installer was a no-show. Why am I leaving work early only to be disappointed? Nope, this location is no longer working for me.

Awful wait times and very slow staff. Overall not the greatest experience. They could also improve their customer service and overall communication with customers. God forbid they get additional people to the register to help when more customers come in.

Luis Gonzales- horrible customer service. When I told him his customer service was terrible, he told me the customer " he has great customer service." Obviously I had to explain that the person providing customer service doesn't get to decide if they are providing "good service." I simply asked he begin typing up the contract to save time. The other guy was Gilbert was great. P

Edgar is the freaking best! He was on staff when they installed my trailer hitch on the back of my Prius and he noticed I had a new bike rack still in the box in my trunk, and then proceeded to help me put that together and attach it to my trailer hitch, all in the 100 degree heat, the both of us sweating bullets the while. Great experience here, and def will come back for any future needs.

So glad they were able to exchange trucks when I reserved a much larger truck than I really needed. Craig was a great help and had me in a truck quickly considering my mistake. Highly recommend

These guys know how to treat customers. It's refreshing to speak with someone who understands the principals of customer service!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone.

I GIVE THESE GUYS ALL THE STARS!!! After a horrible experience with Budget (you can see my review there - Northwest Highway location), these guys saved my butt. And last minute. And it was a domestic violence move out. I was so stuck. So disappointed. So stressed. I'll never use Budget again. I called U-haul. And the location on lower Greenville took care of me. They were sympathetic, accommodating and held their word. Go U-Haul. Edgar was amazing. In short, f*** you Budget. Thank goodness for U-Haul.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I called to make and appointment to have a trailer hitch installed. I was advised that this particular trailer hitch would require a deposit and it would be one week before they could receive the hitch and install. I paid the deposit and set the appointment for one week later (today) at 4pm. I left work early to drive across town for my appointment only to be informed upon arrival that the hitch had not been delivered, also there was no one there anyway to install the hitch, and that I should come back tomorrow. There was no phone call letting me know not to come for my appointment. In fact, I had a text from U-Haul reminding of the appointment. The employee helping me did not seem too concerned with customer service or my wasted time. I asked for my deposit back, which they did return. Run do not walk away from this place. How can U-Haul allow this franchise to keep the name?

Bought boxes for moving and love that you can return any unused boxes. They had a great selection of box sizes and various moving supplies. Very friendly and helpful staff, only complaint is that parking can be tough to find.

Self checkout & self check-in via the web app is amazing - we didn't stand in line and we're able to move our things faster with a brand new Sprinter van. Highly recommended!

Used them once before- leaving review for that experience. I was nice to the employees-and they were nice right back! That's how simple it is. Surprised at all the negative reviews. They let me keep the U-Haul there overnight because I had no one to drive it that day, with all my belongings in it. I felt that it was safe, and it was. Yeah, the parking isn't ideal- but c'mon, what do you expect? Its a small lot in the crowded Lower Greenville area. Anyway, about to rent a truck again this afternoon from same location. Overall: be nice and they should treat you the same way right back.

I'm not sure who's in charge of this location, but they continue to live up to their two star rating. I made a reservation and the time and location was changed less then 24 hours before I had to drive across country. (I had movers set to come at nine am and now my truck pick up was at 10am) When I called the Greenville location and got into it with the guy on the phone he said "goodbye" and hung up on me. Apparently u haul is such a large company they can let quagmire's Like their Greenville location exist. When I called the customer service line they said they submit a form to the manager of the location. They should be submitting complaints higher up instead of where it can get tossed in the trash.

I received a call from the manager of this location a week after submitting a formal letter to corporate. They offered a full refund of the electrical installation as well as a reimbursement for the money spent at the mechanics. Also received a $50 U-haul VIP voucher. I was honestly expecting a drawn out battle with corporate to actually get any money back, so I am very pleased with the result.

I tried to make a reservation here (1 month in advance) and two days before, I get a confirmation for a different location and a different time. I get on the phone, and am transferred between 6 useless reps who don't know how to do anything, am hung up on twice, and waste almost an hour of my time. If you can afford better than this, do it.

When I pulled into this location there were U-Haul trucks everywhere. I wasn't able to pull in and park my car to go inside to pick up my reserved truck. The return line was so backed up it ran into the road. No one seemed to be moving the trucks. I found a place to park on the street and walked in. The line was very long but no problem I understand places are busy towards downtown Dallas. I picked up my truck and returned it in two-three hours (5 hour rental). Apon return the place was not near as bad but still trucks in the return line with one guy working to return them moving very slow. I was told I needed to fold my blankets or i would be charged a $1 per unfolded moving blanket. I do not believe that in the policy I need to look into it. The guy that was checking me back in tried to tell me I put a small dent in the bumper that was there when I picked up the truck. Then his co-worker walked over out of no where and joined in. We talked about it and he was definitely trying to hustle me. I let him talk and listened to see how hard he wanted to hustle. Then told him well if you want to try and say I did that go for it I have the insurance. His co-worker said oh you have insurance your good then man with a totally different attitude. The dent in the bumper isn't harming anything he said. The guy trying to tell me I put that small dent in the bumper imedently walked and sat in the truck with his head down to check the gas gage. Didn't say anything to me. Once the truck was inspected he told ok here is the cost your good to go. What a poor service and poor attempt to try and make extra money off someone. I will not return to this location. I have never experienced this at any U-Haul location I have gone to. Avoid this one.

This manager is incredibly rude to the surrounding residents. When backing each vehicle he and his employees honk in excess of 10x per vehicle. This starts as early as 6:45am, including Saturdays. Manager Lance Hutchinson voiced zero desire to assist in the situation when speaking with him on two occasions.

Worst location and always takes forever to check out. The staff moved at the pace of a turtle. Dont go to this location. I'vehad this expierence three times. It shouldnt take 30 minutes to pick up a couple boxes!

Moving sucks. I should know, because I do it a lot--11 times, 4 cities, and 2 continents in the last 5 years, to be precise. Having the right people/equipment on your team can make a wretched experience palatable (or vice versa.) I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to reserve the truck for 7:00 a.m., but I did. At 7:00 on moving day...which was when I woke up... I called to let them know I'd be about an hour late. No problem, they said. Thank goodness! Except when I showed up, the old grumpy man at the front desk gave me all kinds of slack. Look, dude. Either give me the truck or don't, but I'm not interested in a paternalistic berating about my admittedly spotty time management skills. After my lecture from Father Time, I got set up in my truck and I was off to the races. I turned the truck in that afternoon, on time, without issue. (Which goes to my previous point. If I'm paying for the truck, and if I don't keep it past the time that I reserved months ago, what real difference does it make to UHaul when I pick it up!? I digress.) At about 6:50 P.M., several hours after I'd dropped it off, I realized I'd left my wallet in the truck. CRAP. I raced back up there, expecting it to be closed, but intending to maybe peek inside the windows of the trucks. The front desk was closed, but there were still a couple of employees working in the storage area. I wish I remembered the name of the young guy who helped me because he was an angel. Even though he was way off the clock as far as customer service goes, he booted the computer back up, figured out which truck had been mine, and found the phone number of the person who had rented it after me. I called the lady, she found my wallet, and I was able to meet her to get it back. The whole time Angel Guy was helping me, he said not to worry about it, he didn't mind at all, he was glad to help, etc. Further proof that just as you can't judge a book by its cover, you shouldn't judge a company based on the behavior of one employee. Despite my initially negative view of this place, I would definitely use it again. Pro Tip: if you book your truck online, you'll see an option to hire movers in your area straight from the U Haul website. Don't!! Do your own research to find movers if you want them. The guys I picked off UHaul had great UHaul reviews, but they were AWFUL. I looked them up on Yelp and what do you know... awful reviews.
