A 2 min walk to the Arena. And a beautiful hotel. This is a very nice downtown hotel location.

One of my polo shirts disappeared while I was there. I stayed there 4 nights and for some reason I thought that I didn’t take that shirt with me, so when I was packing I was not concerned. Looking at the photos I realized I had my shirt while staying at the hotel. I called to see what can be done and they made it seem as it was my problem. Something disappears in the room and is the guest fault. Too expensive for that type of service.

The layout of the rooms are strange. The shower is at the front, but there is not a door. So anyone that came into the room would be able to see you showering. The only perk to this hotel is that it is across the street from the American Airlines Center.

W Hotel Dallas vs. Crowne Plaza: Equally Awful Experiences
My recent stay at the W Hotel in downtown Dallas was a disaster — easily on par with my nightmare stay at the Crowne Plaza. Both hotels left me stressed, frustrated, and wondering how they can get away with such poor service. Different names, same lousy experience.
At the W, I accidentally left my wallet at home in Austin. But I wasn’t unprepared — I had my confirmation email, a picture of my ID, and a virtual card. Still, this kicked off one of the most stressful check-ins I’ve ever had. The staff at the W were not just unhelpful; they were flat-out rude, shuffling me off to the side like an afterthought. They left me stranded, scrambling through financial apps for nearly an hour to find a workaround. Since I had prepaid with PayPal via Venmo, I hit a brick wall. Lesson learned: only pay with a physical card number, because these folks don’t know how to handle anything else.
The anxiety this caused was overwhelming. I have a disability, and the whole situation sent my stress levels through the roof. My heart was racing, I broke into a sweat, and it took me two hours to calm down after finally getting my room key. The indifference from the staff only made it worse, much like my time at the Crowne Plaza, where I also dealt with disorganized and dismissive service. Neither hotel seems to grasp the concept of guest care.
The room I eventually got at the W didn’t help matters. It was an adjoining room, and I could hear every word, cough, and laugh from my neighbors, just as if they were sitting on the edge of my bed. It gave me flashbacks to the paper-thin walls at the Crowne Plaza, where privacy is a pipe dream.
Both stays were draining, both hotels failed me, and both earned a permanent spot on my “never again” list. The W might carry the label of a luxury brand, but in reality, it’s no better than the Crowne Plaza. If you’re looking for quality or empathy, neither place is worth your time — or your sanity.

The hotel is run down.. Room was comfortable enough.
The bar (not the formal one that requires a sports coat wtf?) was the only redeeming quality. Good bartender and a good old fashioned. The location is excellent.

Little construction but this hotel is literally 10 steps from the American airline arena! The rooms are well equipped and there is so much to do all around you! The staff was amazing it was worth the construction

An absolutely amazing time. Customer service was great but in the restaurant it was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only one thing was missing from making this a 5 star review and that was not getting fresh towels after requesting them twice. Can’t wait until my next stay.
Rooms: Beautiful rooms
Walkability: Right next to a CVS and Tom Thumb if you need something quick.

This hotel is in the business to take your money. I never stayed or visited the hotel. I cancelled 7 days in advance due to unexpected death in my family. My receipt says it’s refundable but hotel was emailed something completely different for my confirmation. I explained to the hotel I can email the confirmation to show the difference. Malcolm the manager still refused to get the copy of my receipt confirmation and said they have to go by the email they received from third party. They are refusing to refund my money and won’t even provide credit. I even asked Malcolm to email the confirmation email they received. He wouldn’t send the information. They took two whole night stays from me. Please caution in booking with them. I cancelled within their company policy and they still refused to refund my money.

I was trying to drop something off for somebody,... The guy up front was very rude (valet... A little black guy with glasses).. As I was approaching the door, I told him" I need to make a delivery.." he said "what is the address, "I said "2440..He said "sometimes people go to the wrong address "..(all I said to him"I know but I know the address")⭐He then proceeded to get rude.. He started putting his hand up as he was talking to me..(he had an open Palm like he was going to try and slap me)⭐(this made me feel very nervous??)...(Please don't get me wrong I can obviously see, he has some sort of issues)... But that does not give him the right ⭐to start putting his hand up toward me ?⭐and raising his voice at me ?⭐when I'm just trying to drop something off for somebody... ?I asked him to "please not raise his hand when he was talking to me.". HE THEN YELLED AT ME "I AM A GROWN MAN..."( I honestly don't know where that came from??).. The lady working at the concierge, had to tell him to calm down nicely.?(thank you?)..(He still continued to raise his voice?) She finally called his name a 2️⃣nd time and then he got quiet and went outside... (Thank GOD?)The concierge she was a very nice lady.?.. She did apologize for him..(thank you again?) (Can someone please talk to the guy and tell him he can't be raising his voice at people, ?or raising his hand at people when he talking to them ?especially not in front of your establishment.. ?this does not send a very good outlook on your place of business ??, I am an older gentleman but it made me feel very UNCOMFORTABLE ??) (I have been here many times before, I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS GUY BEFORE, OR TREATED LIKE THIS BEFORE HERE, I USUALLY NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM HERE ?)
⭐⭐THIS GUY SHOULD NOT BE WORKING UP FRONT WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE THAT....?⭐⭐

Even under renovation the hotel delivers. Karla was super helpful at the front desk and goes above and beyond to make the experience great.

I’m highly disappointed. This is my first disappointing service experience at a W-hotel. We have several rooms in this hotel due attending an event in the area.Every morning I have to call 3-4 times for room services, because the phones calls are not being answered. This morning I had to call have another person room ,so they could call on my behalf to get room services sent to my room.
Upon arrival here at the hotel, our room floor was wet, construction was happening on the property. And we did not have adequate towels. We have a suite and it only has 1 sink. Due to on going construction, drop offs and pick ups was a challenge. First morning placed a breakfast order, it was a disaster , food was cold had to reorder . There menus are is outdated, did not match there current menu QR code in the room. Then they put an early order door menu, which was wrong also and outdated. It’s very frustrating the disappointment of series of events. I don’t want to go on and on however, it’s a host of issue. It’s a property I would NOT stay at again nor recommend.

This W has nothing to do with other W hotels. The service is really poor. Breakfast is an overpriced joke, never ever spend your money on the breakfast.
Construction noise with jackhammer ALL day,
What a bad experience...
