Today, I had the pleasure to visit this steak house with family that was from out of town. It was delicious we mostly ordered buffalo meat. We enjoyed buffalo burgers and buffalo filet mignon. High quality meat and high quality service from our waiter who recieved above %20 tip he was exceptional, very nice manners, and also genuine. We forgot an item in the restraunt and he came out yelling gentleman you almost forgot your things. Gladly recommend this place for its employees and way they do business.

Our server Ricardo was wonderful and funny. He made the experience very relaxing and welcoming. He forgot to submit an item we ordered, but quickly took responsibility, apologized, and had it out quickly, no big deal at all. We tried the trio meat and all were delicious, but the buffalo filet and elk stood out! We also tried the cowboy ribery which was so good! Overall, definitely coming back and getting a table with Ricardo.

Amazing steakhouse with wonderful staff. This is a must visit for anyone traveling to Dallas. Steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, drinks were paired wonderfully and crafted well, hospitality was off the charts. Huge thank you to our waiter Tomas.

Venison rolls tasted a bit gamey but I'm really particular about that. That malbec though oh my goodness yum. I got the salmon, which was very tasty as well. The vegetable sides though, while pretty- are very small. I recommend everything however. Feels halfway normal going out to eat with this 'rona.

I came during the first phase of Covid when it was at 25% capacity. They definitely took the necessary precautions to ensure their patrons' safety. We were spaced out, hand sanitizers were left out, servers were wearing masks. BTW, dim lighting, booth, quiet--perfect ambiance for a dateOur server came by and introduced himself, talked a little about the place and menu since it was my first time there. He gave us some recommendations for drink and started going into details about El Jefe. I'm not big on whatever liquor he was talking about, but I was sold. And...it.was.mind-blowing. I don't have the words to describe how the flavor, but it's a must try.We were started with complimentary bread (which I didn't try since I'm low carbbing). We then had Venison Roll-Up, which was flavorful and wonderfully executed. Not gamey at all. My main course was the Ribeye with the Truffle Butter. Parts of the Ribeye was a bit more chewy and fatty than I'd like. The flavor was also a bit lacking, even with the Truffle Butter. It's fresh, quality ingredients though. We declined on dessert as I was stuffed. The owner came by before we left to thank us for our patronage. I later realized that it was past closing our (not that I recommend being those people), but at no point did I feel rushed, so mucho kudos to them for being so accommodating.

Food is so good! It is $$$ but definitely worth a trip. Salmon was great. I've also had the Buffalo Reuben, which is excellent. Please go to Y-O - business is slow right now due to the pandemic.

My fiancé and I stumbled on this place during our search for a steakhouse in Dallas that was not a chain restaurant or a place we’ve eaten at before. For starters, we called to make reservations and the gentleman on the phone was so polite. Once we arrived we noticed it was in downtown Dallas and parking is not the friendliness but they do have parking all around the restaurant. Roderick the general manager was the highlight of our experience. He made sure we were taken care of and was so attentive to the entire restaurant. Our waiter, Ricardo, was such a delight. Service was impeccable and so was the food. It was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten in my life. I def recommend the bone marrow butter on top. The mushrooms as a side were delicious and the chocolate cake was the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner. The restaurant was so clean and they took all the precautions during Covid. I will def be back and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner in the Dallas area. Oh and how could I forget our refreshing drinks...my fiancé had the YO Mule and I hand the Porch something and both of our drinks were delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Have been here a few times, both pre- and post- Covid lockdown, and I love the place. It has become my go-to steakhouse, due to location, ambiance, food, service, and value.i have yet to have something that I did not like, a steak not prepared to order, or an issue with the service.Exterior and interior channel the Old West cowboy ranch-upscale style experience, but it is not snooty at all. Bar is very nice, with chairs so comfortable you don't want to leave. There is also a patio/outdoor seating that provides shade.the food is amazing, and I would suggest that allow your server (they are ALL wonderful) to offer suggestions. They have yet to be wrong! They have steaks and some exotic cuts of meats (all from their ranch), and the chefs know what they are doing. Please go and enjoy!

Oh. My. Stars! DELISH! The decor & music was rather manly, but my oh my, the food is so good! Ricardo was fabulous, kind & made great recommendations! We split an appetizer, salad, 3 sides & a huge steak for 3 ladies & it was the perfect amount of food. The steak absolutely melted in your mouth & the seasoning they've chosen is JUST enough! Would highly recommend!

Came here tonight and ordered the sirloin, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. I really liked my steak, the flavor was good, and it was cooked perfectly. We didn't care for the Brussels sprouts; the Dijon flavor was off putting. The weirdest part about the meal was the white sliced bread they gave us with butter. It seemed like white bread you get at a grocery store, I couldn't believe they were serving that to people at a nice steakhouse. Overall I would say the employees were all very friendly and welcoming, but some of the food could be improved.

I order a steak and my girlfriend ordered a steak I've been here five times and every time I've been here it was great but this time it was not I even asked the waiter to put the Air on He told me that the owners is cheap and there's not enough people in there to put the air on this will be the last time I will visit the YO ranch steakhouse When the owner don't even care if the customer is comfortable for the price I paid you would think They could afford to put the air on

Visiting Dallas! I'm not sure if Im just out of touch with how certain foods should taste but i ordered steak and potatoes with Brussels sprouts. That was OK. My crab cakes were dry and flavorless. First my husband is lactose intolerant and we asked for a loaded potato (they asked if we wanted topping on the side and we said yes. BUT all toppings including the cheese was on it so he couldn't eat it. I had hoped to get my food joy going with the mini pecan pie slice but that was not tasty at all. I gave a 3 star due to covid conditions considerations and being thankful for those cooking but definitely need some improvements for a 4 or 5 star.

Thank you so much for such a great review. I hate hiccups but I'm glad they made it right.

When hubby & I came in for a late lunch the place was deserted except for another table. I had a burger & hubby had a reuben sandwich. Service was so good. All the people in the restaurant from the hostess, to the servers and manager were really friendly & kind. The decor of the place is dark wood with booths. And the bar looked really neat. Everything was clean & also gleaming. Washrooms were immaculate. Food was delicious. It's a little more pricey than your average fast food joint but the quality of food & service is worth it. I would definitely come eat here again if I ever come back to Dallas.

Difficult to recommend. There are much better steak places out there with far better service. The location is fantastic but to me it just feels like it's resting on its former reputation

I have heard great things about this farm to table restaurant and hoped to dine here one day. Last month when a good friend visited from out of town, I made a well earned dinner reservation for us to sit down after an incredible theater show. And we were quite happy with the food, service, and overall charm of this rustic western themed YO Ranch Steakhouse. Their 48,000 acre Texas Hill Country family ranch will impress your taste buds. We were warmly greeted upon walking into the hostess area, our dinner reservation for a Sunday night was easily honored, and they walked us to a very comfortable booth rather than an open table; which was perfect. My aching back needs a little extra support and comfort that hard wooden chairs just cannot provide. Plus there tends to be more privacy in a booth verses an open table in an open dining room. Menus in hand. It was a first visit for the both of us. Our server was very knowledgeable of their food and wine selections and provided us with a brief explanation of highlighted entrees and family sized sides that are perfect for sharing. I really was hangry and absolutely ready and overdue for a nice light glass of Pinot Noir. Several wine tasters by various vitners were brought to our table for us to try. I already knew my particular selection, but appreciated the time and effort of the server to expand my wine palette. Extra points there for sure. We placed our first course order: the classic blue cheese wedge salad for me with extra, crispy bacon. Oh yeah. And the knock out standby Caesar for my friend. Had we known the large salad portions, we would of shared; Or asked for the dressing on the side and taken half home for lunch the next day. I politely goppled all my yummy wedge, almost licked the plate clean, but didn't want to get the folks staring in our area. Dinner arrived really early while we were in the middle of our salads and they nicely took them back to the kitchen. I am a stickler for being rushed. For me, I would rather wait a few minutes in between courses rather than feel like they are throwing down course after course, like there is a race going on. Whoa partner. Gently sharing that my guest and I were catching up and were casually talking helped their staff understand our pacing, which is okay. It was a slow, quiet night for them with more than half of their dining room empty. I would never camp out at a table for hours during peak times, I know they need to turn my table, unless I tip the wait staff double knowing they are losing revenue on my extended dining experience. When our dinner entrees and side arrived, everything looked really delicious and smelled amazing. I ordered the Ribeye medium rare with a side order of traditional mashed potatoes. And my guest ordered the Wild Game Mixed Grill, the aromas were out of this world amazing. That particular entree consists of a Bison Filet, Chicken Fried Quail, and Bone In Venison....wow, wow, wowzers. We shared everything and loved all the variety of meats. It was my first time eating Venison and found it just melt in your mouth delicious, no gaminess flavor to speak of at all. The Bison was at the right food temperature which was lovely, it's a leanier protein and will dry out quickly if overcooked, med rare to medium is my humble suggestion on Buffalo. My only disappoinment was the Texas Quail; it is such a light protein when sauteed, grilled, or baked, the flavors just ooze out. But frying the quail makes it much too heavy and quite gimmicky for me. But everything else was superb. Even though we were filled to the gill with fresh rosemary bread & butter, salad, and dinner. We shared a chilled creme brulee dessert oh yeah!! The only hiccups, our dinners were really rushed. And there were some bad server table manners that were awkward, he kept reaching over our plates without saying excuse me or giving us time to move out of the way. Maybe that stuff doesn't bother you, but it did to us both. Plus our table wasn't preset with the proper silverware or cutlery before the next cours

The food is phenomenal!!! Tomas is an amazing waiter. He will tell it to you straight about what to order based on your preferences. He also is so sweet and wrote us an itinerary of fantastic places to eat after our amazing experience at YO ranch. Love this place! Love Tomas as an amazing human 15 stars out of 5!!!!

The customer service is superb. We tried the tomahawk steak and had so much left over. It was cooked perfectly. It might seem pricy but it is worth every cent. The portions are huge and very delicious. We will definitely go again.

At first it was your usual steakhouse, but once the food comes out boy was I mistaken. The steak was perfectly cooked, the desserts prepared expertly, but Tomas our server was the highlight. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He met our needs perfectly. Next time I'm in Dallas I'll be returning here first.

A pretty good steakhouse with some wild game and food. The fried quail was very good, in fact I could have had an entire meal with the quail in place of the steak and I love steak and dislike fowl normally. They cooked that quail very well.
