Francis was our photographer and she showed very great patience, professionalism and kindness for my bonus child who has special needs. She provided great accommodations. Patiently waited for her to smile and her pictures turned out amazing. I’ve discovered it best to go on days where they are not so busy so it will allow the photographer an extra few minutes to assist so I greatly appreciate her kindness and professionalism and grace with us. She made our day!

Kimberly, our photographer, was so kind, attentive and helpful. She made the photo shoot smooth and fun! Melissa was an absolute delight to talk to when I called back about an order. I am so appreciative of her help and conversation. I highly recommend this place! I have done many photoshoots at various places and this has been the best experience by far.

I would like to give 0 for this potraits. When I called for the appointment she spoke very rude to me and when I asked for timings when do they have availability she was asking me what time and I gave her any time in the afternoon. I gave her a time and she said she is booked and she has eveening appointment. That's why I asked u what timings r available means she got mad at me and she said she is not having appointments for me and she hung up. This is very bad . This kind people they should not hire.

Rude and unprofessional. Were told we could purchase online (which apparently is not the case ) so we had to drive back up there to purchase. Ridiculous.

The quality of the portraits were just okay, our photographer was really great with the kids, but I felt incredibly rushed during our session. I was not happy with how several of the photos turned out as a result. Most of the ones with just my daughter show her not looking at the camera and her hand was very oddly positioned in one. In a couple, both my kids weren’t smiling. I barely had time to make quick 2 second adjustments (hair position in front/behind shoulder, shirt pulled back down, etc) between shots without being reminded how little time we had. I only purchased the digital copies because I didn’t want to pay a bunch of money for prints I wasn’t completely happy with. I know majority of the stress the employees were under was due to them being short staffed, but sadly it reflected in the photos and session I paid $100+ for. I plan to give JCPenny Portraits another try again, but maybe at a different location.
Edit: I was looking through the pictures again and noticed on the grey background I selected that there’s a spot in several of those pictures. It’s noticeable enough that I’d need to crop it out if I decided to get prints of it.

Our family had an appointment at 3pm, we arrived early and waited a bit after 3 before asking how much longer our wait was going to be. They said they had few families still in front of us, and at least another 45 min wait. We had other commitments later that day and didn’t have time to wait an hour before even being seen. Horrible customer service, why take walk-ins when you can’t even take care of appointments? We had to cancel our appointment due to the wait time. We have a teething toddler who we planned our appointment around just for this, and they couldn’t even pull it off. Very disappointing.

Melissa is great.we love here.she know us and our dog by name because we will only use her. but the way yall do things are terrible. Go back to the way it used to be.yall shorten section time.WE ARE RUSHED NOW ON EVERYTHING..it's not her fault it's YALLS.yall are going to lose people because of this. We do not like be rushed. Always had 2 people there so she can take pictures and the other one could help people with pictures selections. We would of bought more but we got FRUSTRATED.SAID THE HECK WITH THIS. THIS IS NOT HOW WE WANT TO BE TREATED. Melissa. Is the greatest. Do not do this to her. Go back to the way it used to be. It's ALWAYS SHOULD BE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE...teresa,marion

Melissa was amazing. She was very patient with us & our kids. She let them use their creative personality in the pictures & we all had an amazing time. If you’re a worried parent about what it will be like to take family pix definitely come here & see her. She makes the time there easy & worth it. My family & I loved it. Thank you again Melissa. Melissa is wonderful! We've gone twice to see her for portraits, and they turn out amazing every time. She's especially great with toddlers!! If you plan on getting pictures done more than once a year, it's worth it to get the membership! Definitely recommend.

We had the most amazing experience with Melissa! We couldn’t afford to take expensive family pictures this year, so I looked on Groupon and found a deal to go to JCPenney Portaits. I bought it actually more as a joke… but the joke was on me! The pictures we got will last a lifetime and you can’t beat the quality/clarity! I know these will be the pictures my daughter will cherish one day and will be shown on special occasions.Value- priceless!
