Je ne comprends pas what it is with the employees in this shop. They're oblivious to the fact that w/o customers spending, the store may be non-existent and they may not work there. First time we went, the cashiers' demeanors alone suggested inhospitality. Not a hello nor a thank you. We just went on another occasion and worse than the last visit. Dude would not stop following/watching us like a hawk. Like, do folks need to attach their CVs on their foreheads to prove a point? I tried so hard to ignore the guy and focus on choosing items I wanted to buy. However, no-one deserved this. Even when I get ready to pay, he and another employee continued to follow my family around the store. When we finally get ready to exit, various customers were arriving and I purposely stood to observe. Behold, these employees were chilling, allowing the customers to roam around the store in peace.

Not really a relevant review to most, but I wanted to share my frustration with the store. Really wanted to buy this demin jacket I wasn't able to the day before due to the shop closing. Today Google said it was open, and after arriving a hand written note on the door saying closed for inventory. I asked if there was any possible way I could buy it as flying out today, and was told no. Such a shame they would turn down a $100 sale.

I had a great time at Texas Jake's Trading Company! They have an amazing selection of Western wear and unique items. The quality is top-notch, but be prepared for some high prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for authentic Western gear, this is the place to go!

Very nice store but be careful purchasing here, check your items thoroughly. I was on my first visit to Texas and purchased a Texas themed T-shirt here and the tag had been put on it in the incorrect fashion and when I cut it off I saw there was a hole in the back of the T-shirt. As I was leaving Texas the next day I didn’t have an opportunity to return to the store so I phoned them after I got home and was advised that the manager, Jackie, would call me but no call came. So disappointed, paid full price and got a useless T-shirt. Be warned!

Very cute Texas themed gifts. Clothes, some food items, puzzles, home decor, lots of options. I went around Christmas and they had Texas themed Christmas ornaments. Great place to get a gift for an out of state friend or family member!

Oma peach syrup terrible. Do not buy. Very plastic processed taste unless I just got a bad batch in my bottle. Yuck.The peach butter was pretty good though. Tastes very similar to apple butter. If you've had that before.

Yesterday, during regular business hours, sign on door said, "Back in 1/2 hour". Employees were inside at counter. I knocked on the door, employee opened the door, and he said, "We're closed, a guy's gotta eat sometime." So I'm supposed to know when his half hour is up? Was his sign up for one minute, five minutes, twenty minutes? How long do I hafta eait to come nack? How about a sign that says, "Will reopen at (insert time here!)? Bonehead!
