Terrible service. We ordered tortilla soup which ce in a plastic to go container with soggy chips and cheese thrown in.The tacos were ok with dripping sauce and the michelada corn was just about ok.The fresh orange juice was the saving grace.Over priced place for average food

Tried this place today after being referred to try them. It is definitely a different experience. You feel like you walked on to a Mexico street corner as you enter the building. I do have to say the place seems dated. There were things stacked in corners of the building that should be cleaned up. I was not a fan of all the skeletons, it was a bit much. The service was good and friendly. I ordered the chips and salsa, the salsa was ok as a starter but the chips were kind of stale. I'm sure they were not fresh, no bueno. My son and wife had the quesadillas. They are listed as small and they were but both of them said they were good. I had the sopes with fajitas. I can't say they were the best but they were good. 1 complaint was no crema, I feel like a good sope should have sour cream but that's preference. My sopes were thin and very soft, not stiff like they should be. I ate them like tacos. I have to say this place isn't bad but not a place I would go out of my way to eat at. Try it, maybe you will like it better than we did.

Came here for a quick lunch. This place has plenty of seating inside and outside, you have to order at the front and then they call your order for you to come get it. The place is decorated but feels a bit stuffy. It was very warm when we were there so they definitely need to adjust their AC. The tacos came out fast and they were delicious, the salsa was spicy which I LOVE.

Personally im a very picky eater so this is just my opinion. The carne asada tacos were the driest tacos I’ve ever had and they barely had any cilantro and onion they messed some lime or salsa. The quesadillas and tacos also look very depressing. On the other hand the dessert we got was pretty good the flan and biñuelos. I ended up getting chic fil after dining in here

History: began as a school project in University of Houston with a mission to recreate the experience of eating in the streets of Mexico City. They began operating from a trailer in the summer of 1996, selling tacos in a parking lot. Two years later it moved to it's current location. They have tons of decorations and it's very well appointed. Many of the tables have a skeleton in one of the chairs so you can dine with the dead if you like. Grab a menu at the Alto and then order at the counter to the right of it. No need to Alto (stop). Cashiers are very nice (a sign says $14/hr pay for the gig plus free tacos). The menus have descriptions of what many of the Spanish words mean so don't worry if you can't remember like me. We tried the Assad and the sampler tacos. Both very good. Chips with half salsa and half guacamole. The salsa is warm. The chips on the thicker side. But very crispy and fresh tasting. They don't sell queso though. Blasphemy. I love queso. That's my only complaint. You can get green and red salsa (not the same as cones with the chips) at the toppings bar along with pico de gallo (tomato/onion/cilantro/jalapeño mix). Tres leches was tall and pretty good too. Not like churrascos good. But good nonetheless. And the Mexican candy drink was a nice change from getting a margarita.

I have been here a few times, but it had admittedly been years since my last visit, so I came for lunch today (Friday). The place gets busy given its location, but the inside and patio are quite large, so shouldn't have any issues there. The situation: order at the front, find a table, and wait for your number to be called. This is definitely an elevated taco truck - lots of authentic flavors and offerings at fair prices. Recommend getting a "starter" of some type (guac, chicharrones, etc) plus your tacos/quesadillas/sopes/whatever - as the "ito" in the name implies, not huge portions here since everything is a la carte. Food is made fresh to order. Main drawback this time was the place seems a bit rundown: AC was struggling (on one of our 100deg September days, though), ice machine wasn't working in one part of the restaurant, tables are a bit beat up. I think it all adds to the quirkiness (hello awesome decor), but it is definitely more of a "come as you are" spot than dining destination. Parking: in a strip center, so beware of any reserved spots for businesses. If it is full, there is overflow parking behind near Westpark. Overall - 3.5 stars.

Don't know why this spot don't have a five star but to me, the tacos are really good! Clean and flavorful. I had the carne asada tostada and the gulf shrimp taco and I must say it was really flavorful. Will be coming back again.

I have been a frequent customer at 100% Taquito for many many years and I am so glad they are still around and their food has not changed. Great tasting tacos and tortas! My favorite items on the menu has got to be their chicken mole con arroz. I'm picky when it comes to mole. It has to be just perfect and theirs is one of the best! It has great flavor and the right amount of spice. I could HEAPINGS of it. Also... BEST SALSA in houston! Spicy and full of flavor. Would eat it every day if I could. Also, they have a fantastic fountain soda machine. The Dr. Pepper is crisp! haha! Quick and friendly service as well. Highly recommend!

Taking away stars because I called at 9:32 and was informed they no longer take to go orders because they close at 10. Why even answer the phone?

Got the al pastor tacos! Very reasonably priced, got 3 for $6. Loved that they have the option to add pineapples to it. The corn tortilla was so soft, one of the best I've had. The meat was tender and seasoned well. 4 stars, mainly cause of the sauces, the red and green sauces were okay, bland and not spicy.
