Working with MHC was by far the BEST experience i have ever had with a contractor. Their people are extremely knowledgable and thus, are able to creatively solve design and installation issues. Every other contractor that quoted our job said that they could not install the size beam needed in the attic to support removing a sizable wall. MHC was quite creative and got it done! They don't just send one or two guys. We often had 5 guys or more working at a time. Work got DONE! And they cleaned up beautifully each day. Cassandra took my design and thoughts and improved them 200% with a fabulous cad design. And their in house carpenters are TOP NOTCH! I don't know how they keep such an excellent team. They truly are the best. You can rest assured that if something is not as you expected, it will be made right. You will not regret hiring this team!!

I had a great experience with Miland. They were responsive and communicative. They have great designers who helped create the look I wanted in our primary bathroom and a kids’ bathroom. While the process took longer than I expected (seems to be the case with big home projects), the spaces came out beautiful. I’m really happy with the results and will use Miland for our next home project.

The bottom line…..yes, we would use Miland Construction again.
My husband and I have moved many times overs the years including custom build, finished a custom build, renovated multiple kitchens, bathrooms and flooring. We have pretty much done it all regarding home remodeling.
After purchasing our hopefully last home, we contacted Miland to do a major first floor remodel. The house was custom built and we wanted to keep the standard high throughout the project. Miland did an excellent job in many regards.
Remodel included:
Plumbing, electrical, wood floor repair, tile, appliances, countertops, lighting, cabinets, paint, trim
Budget…We appreciated the precise line item budget that was provided. A few things were adjusted along the way but there were no surprises during the project.
Timeline…The project did take longer than projected but we didn’t expect it to finish on time mostly from past remodels. We have never had anything finish on time or early.
Mistakes/Issues…Of course there were mistakes during the project. There are always mistakes with major remodels. Everything that came up was handled quickly with no questions asked.
Crew…The crew worked very hard on our project. They all were knowledgeable in the area that they worked on. It should also be mentioned that they were kind, polite and friendly.
Quality of work…We have been very happy with the finished project. The high standard was maintained and we had an excellent experience.
As a result of the first floor experience we went on and had Miland remodel the second floor of our home.
Remodel included:
Plumbing, electrical, paint, trim, cabinets, countertops, appliances
Added new: kitchenette, full bath, bedroom with closet, HVAC, tankless water heater, flooring, tile
Everything went great again. We believe the biggest compliment a contractor can get, is the fact that someone wants them to do another project and yes, we would use them again.

Doug and his team worked on our renovation converting an old duplex (est. 1932) in University Park into a single-family home, and they were phenomenal. Doug is detail-oriented, responsive, and honest. He listened to us attentively throughout the process, kept us apprised of updates, and timely finished a bear of a project. Doug’s team is equally pleasant to work with. The guys are respectful and are the best of the best at what they do. A year and a half after moving back in, we have had no major issues resulting from the renovation, which shows the high-quality work put into the project. One major selling point for MHC in my opinion is the in-house cabinetry operation. We had tons of cabinets made and installed, and the detail and quality of the cabinets is unmatched. Doug and his team listened to my vision on design and made it come to life. No waiting time for a third-party on this front either, which is a huge plus. We still keep in touch with Doug and his team and have recommended him any time we hear someone is looking for a contractor. He is one of the very best and will get the job done right.

We have already had two contractors come out to give us quotes on some remodeling. One contractor was out to give us a quote the same day we requested and the other came out early next morning. Miland said it would take 7 days to get somebody out to just look at the work needing to be done before they could give us a quote. Sorry but if it takes that long to get a quote I can't imagine how long it would take for them to actually do the work.

I searched the internet to find a business that remodeled bathrooms in my area to update the shower glass and track system in my master shower & repair some grout. Miland Home Construction came up on the search, so I contacted them. As I was setting up an appt for an estimate, I was told they don't replace shower glass. Their customer rep on the phone was friendly & even suggested a local glass business. However, reading the website for Miland Home Construction, they hold themselves out as a bathroom remodeler. 4 out of the 5 bathroom pictures they include on their bathroom remodel webpage, showcase showers with glass. If they are not a complete bathroom remodeler, they really need to update their website to include services that they do not provide. Shower glass is an integral part of a bathroom remodel; they should be honest upfront... It has been a waste of my time to research and contact this company.

Miland Home Construction was amazing! Doug was very detail-oriented, providing line item quotes throughout the process. His team was awesome with fast responses and clear communication. They renovated a midcentury ranch home for us and it was a hefty job, including removing walls, a complete kitchen renovation, rebuilding a ceiling, painting, and flooring. The work was beautiful! They finished on time and on budget - a welcome surprise from working with previous contractors. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Miland Home Construction was great! Jeff came out promptly and was the most professional contractor we have met. He explained every part of the process in detail and never hesitated to answer all of our questions. Our shower now looks amazing; you can tell the team took the time to look at every detail. We will definitely be using them for future jobs!

We had a dreary, poorly designed master bath that is now gorgeous and spacious feeling with lots of storage. Miland Homes could not have been better! They gave us a 30 day time frame and were able to get it done. Jeff, our contractor was accessible and accommodating. Krissandra (designer) was a HUGE help with really great ideas. Ana kept us up to date on orders and never let things fall through the cracks. The workmen were always polite and aware we were working from home so kept noise to a minimum as much as is possible during a remodel.And we are thrilled with the result!! Highly recommend Miland if you are looking to do a remodel!!
