Starting to train BJJ at Revolution has been the best experience. The people at this gym are very supportive and the sense of community is strong. I enjoy going to class every week and would highly recommend to anyone!

This is by far the best place to be for jujitsu and especially if you are a competitor! I compete in jujitsu all the time and if it wasn’t for Jeff and the whole team there is no way I could ever be performing at the level that I perform. If you looking for the best look no further.

My sister's kids are students at Revolution. We were in town week of spring break to visit, and as guests, my son had an opportunity to participate along with his cousins to see what it was about. The instructors were great and dojo very well run.

Great gym for kids and adults. It doesn’t matter who is coaching, every class is going to be a great class. There’s just as many upper belts that train as lower belts and they’re always willing to partner up with the lower belts to help them understand the movements of the day. My wife enjoys the fact that there’s plenty of women for training partners as well.

Went to drop in for the 11am and 12 pm class, and walking in the gym, it is huge and clean!! Professor Messina was extremely welcoming and for a Tuesday afternoon had 30+ people on the mats is great. The gym is good vibes with no egos, and good rolls. Highly recommend if youre in the area!!

Revolution Dojo has great faculty and a great team that is very welcoming to newcomers. Revolution also has different disciplines such as MMA, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Wrestling, and Muaythai that you can pick from. Through my personal experience of going to Revolution all classes have been amazing and taught by very experienced Coaches/Professors.There is also a kids class for those who want to enroll their kids into martial arts. If you are looking to start training or enroll your kids into a class I would highly recommend Revolution Dojo. A plus being there are multiple locations that you can go to if one is to far such as heights or downtown location and some other ones as well.

I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Revolution Dojo for over a decade. My wife also trains at Revolution Dojo. When my wife and I decided to move from the Sawyer Heights further west, we picked an area that was close enough to the Katy location that we could continue to train at Revolution. Most of our friends train at Revolution. The training and culture at Revolution is second to none and is the direct result of Jeff Messina's cultivation and guidance. We have everything from beginners and hobbyists to world champions... and the environment is kind and supportive while simultaneously being challenging and competitive. Deciding to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was one of the best choices I ever made, lucking into picking Revolution Dojo because it was down the street from my house is something I will be thankful for, for the rest of my life. ⚡️

There are very few schools in the world that cater to world-class competitors, professional fighters, day 1 beginners, and everyone in between, all in a family-friendly environment. Jeff Messina is a Houston legend who has a wealth of knowledge and is a great mentor for many. This gym is a gem and a rare find, you should take advantage of it

My jiu jitsu journey started at Revolution in 2012 I trained for 2 years there then had to move to California. Stopped training for 2 years came back started training at Gracie Barra Katy for a little less than 2 years. Had to move to downtown Houston so I started Training at Elite MMA Greenway Plaza was there 2 years also roughly. All coach's are top caliber at all gyms and I learned at all schools. The reason why I decided to come back was simply the transparency of the leaders especially Jeff Messina. I felt he had everyone beat in that department. Find out for yourself ! If you need a role model like I did walk in the gym you'll forever be thankful you did.

I made the best decision bringing my two girls and I to Revolution Dojo from another local gym. We couldn’t be happier and all three of us have progressed exponentially. The professors, coaches, and peers are second to none. There is a great culture here—everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, pushing you to be the very best.

Prof. Jeff and Prof. Jaime are as legit as legit can be. I like their BJJ philosophy and also their mission in life. I felt very good in the dojo and instruction and attention to details are top notch. If you've been searching for a professional, serious dojo to train BJJ here in Houston, look no further. Revolution is the place to be!

Had a chance to visit on a Sunday open mat. Like that they are willing to allow other schools to join their open mat. People were nice and I feel like that is good culture for a MMA gym. Haven't had a chance to take any classes, so i can't say anything about that experience.

Came here for training. Everything started out cool. Second week, my teacher is out so the class is lead by one of the more experienced students. Bad idea. At the end of the class we roll. New students are usually paired up with someone according to the teacher. No teacher = every person for themselves. I ended up with a much more experienced fighter. He placed me in a arm bar and left me injured. I went to ER. It felt broken. I couldn't lift my arm or move anything past my elbow. I couldn't move the arm for weeks and I have yet to return to my pre injury performance. Horrible experience. I was told "you should hv tapped" He should not have tried to break my arm, I was in my second week! I didn't understand the danger I was in. The teacher who was missing did call the next day and check on me (reason for 2 stars). I never returned. I cancelled my membership and requested a refund (owner said it's against policy since I was already charged but he did ended up refunding the monthly fee). In my mind, they should be happy I don't sue for negligence. This is not a place for beginners. It's not safe. Hopefully things have changed since my injury.
