Great spot to stop before heading to Big Bend. Our family enjoyed our stay, no WIFI, straight family time!

This isn’t the correct address! Look up Stillwell Ranch Store and RV park, it’s actually located in Alpine about 45 minutes further south, closer to the park.

Amazing star gazing. Where I camped with a small tear drop trailer was awesome. Never have I seen pitch black as far as the eye can see. The store is small but they have supplies and gas that's cheaper then in Big Bend Park. This place sits just outside the main entrance to Big Bend. Prices are decent. No WiFi except at the store. No cell service mostly. Some coyotes sand me to sleep every night when they would come down from the hills. Javelinas are abundant too. Great time thanks StillWell!!

First let me start with John, the owner. He was awesome and let us check in at 8 pm without a reservation because it's off season and he's a great guy. Gave us tons of information on Big Bend Park and is an encyclopedia on local goings on. We were the only RV'ers in the park and the night sky was impeccable. Milky Way? No problem! Only 7 or 8 miles to Parks north entrance, closest RV park without staying in the park. Slept great, so quiet. No tv- perfect. Had a full 50 amp service, water (well) and sewage. if I ever get back that way again I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great location to stay if you can’t get a spot in the park.

There's not much to it but it's a perfect spot. Quiet setting, friendly staff. Stayed a couple nights in February. It's proximity to Big Bend is perfect. WiFi works best near the office and we were lucky enough to be parked in site #2 so we had WiFi from our site and it was decent... not for streaming but good enough to check email and Facebook. No Verizon cell service at all so that was nice. We would definitely stay here again. Definitely visit the Hallie Stillwell museum while you're there. She was amazing!

This place is a lot more than an RV park! I've tent camped here for two years in a row, and it is an incredibly secluded and quiet place to camp. The tent sites are accessible by car, but you'll feel as if you have left society if you get to hear the coyotes howl at night. There is WiFi at the store, plus laundry and showers. The staff has always been very nice. Plus there is even a history museum of a local female rancher. Great place to stay on your way to Big Bend NP or even a few days to take in the desert.

We camped here 5 nights in our small motorhome in the Barbed Wire lot. Everything has been fantastic - level campsite, hookups that are well placed for ease of hooking up and have brand new water faucets, laundry with brand new machines (and cheap). Covered picnic tables, fire pits; grills are old, used our own. Beautiful views of mountains and desert all around. The park store is well stocked with canned goods, camping supplies, cold drinks, beer, and ice. there are showers

We spent 4 nights here with water and electric (30 amp) hookups. They also have a full hookup area and a dump. We drove all around the primitive tent camping areas and saw lots of jackrabbits, some scaled quails, and a deer. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Store stocked with some basics and souvenirs. 2 washers and 2 dryers, showers, and bathrooms near the store/office. We didn't visit the Hallie Stillwell museum on site, but did read an article about her and she sounds like quite a character. Her books were available for sale in the store. Nothing fancy about the place, but a great place to stay while visiting Big Bend National Park.

Great area near Big Bend! But mostly great people who run this as they know the area and are great people to talk to about things you would like to do in the Big Bend or other areas around the park!
