Great place and they help you very well but i have some complaints about the child care services especially kenessa person shes rude and so disrespectful to clients and acts like shes better than everyone else when all of us were struggling to get on our feet and doing something to prevent us from downfall but she continued to bring us down at the shelter which i do not appreciate but all though the shelter is a very good place and helps you get started to your life journey.

Our group volunteered in the kitchen for a service event. The Food Service Manager (Ethel) and assistant (Yolanda) were phenomenal. Their professional and servants heart were a breath of fresh air. Over the top kudos to the food Service and all other employees on duty during our event. A special thank you to Jessica on guiding us thru the process.

Please let me know how I can address this as its not right for someone to lie and manipulate the system you set up to protect those who actually need it. I would love to address this with who ever is in charge. They are harboring a wanted fugitive that is lying about being mentally abused (no domestic abuse history at all) , she is hiding out from the law using this place, taking a bed away from someone that TRULY needs help and its sad that this place is helping her hide out.

Worst place ever , the food is bad and made me sick ? , the staff should have rules for everyone to follow and respect others who live there as well , but they don't all the people who live here does whatever they want , mother's are yelling all day at there kids , some white lady was chasing her daughter to hit her and that women almost got into a fight with the other ladies there , night staff ladies just gossiping about others , horrible !!!! This place should be to help others and get a job a have respect for others as well but in this place you won't find it , yes rent free but the drama you have to put up with ... Washers are free to use and others don't respect when it's your time they let there clothes sit there for hour's until u let staff know , kids are screaming back and forward , some mother's don't even try to get on they feet instead they stay there just to be gossiping and yelling at there kids non stop . This place needs better staff more rules better cooks and definitely people need mental health!!!!!! I give it 0 stars my experience was horrible.... I was hoping to find peace and help

This place is really helpful in so many ways I just can't name one. From the shelter director all the way to the cook. I will forever be grateful for the many of ways they've helped me and my children in the time of need. They use the resources that is available to them and you to get you where you wanna go and need to be!!!!!!!!

I reached out for help for me and my children and after we had some family disruption. We later found out that someone had made false accusations towards me and my family. We don’t recommend this place for any type of help as they do not verify anything and put out false information which in our case is no less than slander

I was 5 months pregnant with a 6 months old baby and 2 year old daughter. I stayed here for a total of 16 months before I went into the transition housing, at the time called Sunshine program. This was back in 2002-2003. My life forever changed because of this place. I’m grateful they took us in and helped me to finally break the cycle of abuse. However, this place is meant to be temporary and not to be depended upon. I remember having to deal with diseases from other women in the shelter because the shared accommodations weren’t clean. Serving Food wasn’t an issue, but washing dishes for 60+ people were. Another issue was having inadequate representation. Social workers were so overwhelmed by having too many cases not getting right counseling. That being said the overall experience was something I’ll never forget. It positively changed our lives.

This place takes false claims and hurts families. A family member made false claims against our family and they verified nothing but they helped her destroy and manipulate our life. We are an autistic family who needed stability and it was taken and supported by some lady named Rosiline who I believe should be charged with slander and liable. Stay away from this place if you believe in family

Well I went there on March 22 2022 and stayed there for awhile there and it was good at first but then the food sometimes had hair in it or it wasn't cooked all the way and than they want to exit me for safety reasons but on my paperwork was saying that I was drinking , well some clients was doing weed their in their rooms and they never said anything about them and they was a lot of residents advocates was favoring a lot of clients their and they didn't get in trouble or sometimes people who had their kids their would leave themselves while they were outside or not even. Like I think they need to set up there things better.
