I just had an amazing dining experience at this new local downtown Plano restaurant! Very authentic regional Mexican style, with the menu explaining where each dish originates. Very informative and welcoming staff. The bartender Michelle is a true delight and makes a tasty Rita! The fajitas are amazing and the appetizer sampler is out of this world! Will definitely be returning!

Saw this opened up where Kelly's East Side used to be, so we stopped by to check it out. The first thing you should know is that this is not another Tex-Mex place. It's authentic Mexican, which I wasn't as familiar with. I didn't recognize many of the dishes on the menu, so I just went with the sampler platter, which was very good. My favorite was probably the shrimp taco, which was fried but not greasy, and had very large and fresh tasting shrimp.
The salsas they bring you at the beginning are good - but watch out for the one that looks like guacamole. It's a very spicy jalapeno dip, and it's crazy hot.
The queso fundito is different from any queso I'm used to, but I think that's by design. It's not a liquid cheese type of dish, rather more of a thick spread for your tortilla.
Cool place, and still working out some kinks, but I look forward to returning soon.

Great fresh food. Mole was very good and margaritas are tasty. Live music tonight was a great touch.

The ambiance is awesome and the food is even better: tortillas are made in house. I don't usually like corn tortillas (IMHO, they smell like wet dog) but the corn tortillas here are delicious! I recommend El Mole! The food is not only fantastic it's clean, fresh u0026 handmade. Rather than the meal making me feel heavy u0026 sleepy, it energized me, which is not my typical experience at Mexican restaurants. They have live music at brunch. We will be back!

So I have to say I have been to the restaurant 3xs since the opening. They have an Awesome bar tender Michelle. She's funny, she's sarcastic most of all we have come back to see her. She hustles!! I know the restaurant is new and things need to come together with time. The food is different, I feel like if they are calling it authentic they could at lest give you a fair amount. That being said I don't come for the food. I like the gluten free alternatives. I have had very tasty margaritas there, I've not seen a bar back ever. It seems Michelle is a 1 woman show. I hope these folks realize 1 person can't do everything!! I will continue to bring in business and tell my friends and family to check it out. It's nice to see new places succeed! Hopefully with time these guys will iron out the kinks!!
