Ernest is a great little mom and pop hardware store that has everything you could need for your home and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even carry oil field supplies. Awesome store. Check it out. As always, safe travels.

This place is awesome! Unlike the big box stores, they have a little of everything and a big selection. Customer service was great. They also have homeware stuff as well! Sour Lake is fortunate to have a general hardware store. Like the town im from, Lowes put the local store out of business and now everyone regrets it.

Always asked if I need help finding something and prices are very reasonable. Saves me a trip all the way to home depot or lowes. Pretty wide variety of items to choose from.

I went in needing a single screw and washer. The young man that tried to help me didn't have the slightest possible amount of knowledge. I had the screw with me which turned out to be 8mm x 20mm fine thread. He picked up a two inch lag bolt and ask if it would work. thought I was being filmed on Candid Camera. I found a hex head bolt that would work and said I needed a washer. He picked out one obviously too small. I said it was too small and he told me to try it anyway. I put it to the opening and he said, Oh, it's too tight. Then I was sure I was getting punked. I got my item and got out of there. I'm not sure if he was just trying to be that ignorant or not. I won't be back unless abs necessary.
