The team at Sugarland Vet Specialists took really good care of my dog. I am so thankful that they are available 24/7! The facility is immaculate and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the "holding area"they have spacious cubicles with plexiglass instead of cages! Gus was so comfortable, I don't think he even felt like he was at the vet .

I called ahead 1-2 hr wait, when I arrived was told 4-6 hr wait. Had to stay since $149 would be charged even if they didn’t see my dog. When they finally decided to see my dog they took her away from me for triage so I couldn’t observe and keep her calm. This result in comment she’ll need to wait her case isn’t urgent. When the vet was finally ready to review her injury, they again took her away from me. Vet came in and said my dog wouldn’t let them see the wounds but from what they could see she needs to go to her regular vet! Then they forgot about us for over an hour when we had to wait for the paper work. The trauma of loading/unloading my dog to go to this facility resulted in causing the wound to expand such that she can’t be sutured! I will never use the facility again.

My dog was hit by a car, and I rushed him to what I thought was a top-notch vet because they were located in Sugarland. I assumed they would help him, but the moment we got there, it was clear all they cared about was money. Instead of focusing on treating my dog or at least stabilizing him, they immediately started talking about how he wouldn’t survive, pushing the idea that he’d die before we even got home. They didn’t try any treatments or offer any real solutions—they just kept pushing the idea that my only option was to put him to sleep. It was like they were more eager to end his life than to save it.
They claimed that trying to save him wasn’t worth it, that he would die regardless, but my dog is still alive and at home now! What’s worse is that after all of their doom and gloom, they had the audacity to ask for $6000 just to attempt any kind of treatment. It wasn’t about compassion or care; it was about how much they could charge. They wasted time with unnecessary pressure, and instead of helping, they tried to convince me my dog was beyond saving when that clearly wasn’t the case. It’s disgusting how some places will prioritize money over an animal’s life. Absolutely ridiculous and heartbreaking.

I have a few furbabies. Greatwood has always been there for me. I've had 2 recommendations for specialist outside of their practice with great resulte helped s. I think I've actually met everyone there. Katie...& Amanda have helped tremendously! They need awards! I would recommend Greatwood to anyone!

My Dom Dom gave me the fright of a lifetime that I hope never to experience again ever !! He was diagnosed and requested that he be see by specialist who could further help. The moment I contacted them, they made me feel a little bit more secure about my little one. The Dr. came into the room after examining my pet. She was wonderful
She answered my questions to my understanding ! All other staff members were open and friendly to my discomfort and my pet's as well.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We took in our boy Bear in hopes for help. They took him to the back and came out and told us he was in critical condition and needed further testing. Probably surgery. He was supposedly an emergency case because he was so critical. But with no money up front you will get no help. They had us making decisions to put our boy down, nurse came in and said if we wanted to cremate and if we wanted his ashes back we could get them for an added fee to the already outrageous fee they put in front of us. I told them to bring me out boy and that we were going to take him to a vet who was willing to work with us to save him. They brought him out and we actually took him home. They charged us for their services of doing nothing but an ultrasound and we paid it and left. My 11 year old son left with hope that our boy would be fine, he told me…. Mom, God has a plan. And my son was right, we got home and he was already walking again. Made it thru the night when we were told he wasn’t gonna make it…. Next day he was weak but eyes alert and tail wagging. ?? as I look at him now my gut gets twisted knowing that they were pressing us to put him down because he was in such critical condition. We would have had an urn full of ashes if we would have caved. ???
I’m not leaving this review to turn my nose up at this establishment but to raise awareness to them to have a bit more compassion and wiggle room to work with families who are in dire need and another reason I am sharing is to give our God all the glory!!!! Our boy is happy as can be and back to his normal self. Glory to God! ????❤️

Absolutely amazing staff and care. I brought my cat Crowley in and you can tell everyone who works there truly loves what they do! They treated him like he was their own and kept me updated and informed every step of the way about everything. Lovely staff and establishment, I had to drive a bit from Houston but don’t regret it one bit! If you’re having any doubts this is the place to be!

My dog developed some type of aggressive anal gland cancer. His tumor was the size of a golf ball. The staff here took really good care of him! From the surgery department to the oncology department... This started about a year ago and my dog is in very good shape now. I’m so glad they were able to save my dog.

My grandmother and I came in yesterday evening and I just wanted to say from I had a great experience. The receptionist made me feel like we were family and they were very personable and compassionate. A huge thank you Johna and Des, keep up the good work. The technicians were very thorough and understanding. I will definitely be recommending this hospital to my peers.

They were very nice in dealing with us and our princess. It was a good experience. It was "the waiting place," but that is to be expected at an emergency care place.
