I travel for work 3 weeks every month and stay in multiple hotels domestically and internationally. Been a Hilton Honor member for more than 2 decades among many other loyalty programs with other hotels.
To be honest, if it wasn’t for some of the staff and location of this hotel, I’d choose elsewhere to spend my somewhat extended stay. Christine is such a great welcoming host, very pleasant and the perfect representation of what a host should be. A very special thanks goes to Korea “hoping I spelled her name correctly”, she was super accommodating during breakfast, assisting me with what I can eat as I have a restricted dietary restrictions as well as visiting the breakfast area very early in the morning to head to work. Finally, a shout out to “Jeremy” who was able to assist opening my room door after a lock malfunction and being super polite and understanding during this ordeal.
With all the good things being said, this location is in dire need of some serious renovation “ESPECIALLY” the carpet. It’s stained and smells bad all over the place. The suites / rooms could use some refreshing. If I ever in the area, I won’t hesitate to stay there again but will contact Christine first for a better experience.
Didn’t wish to post pictures, respecting and understanding that the hotel management knows the flaws as they see it every day.
Rooms: Needs refreshing but with a bit of housekeeping upkeep it could be better.
Food and drinks: Good variety and labeled selection, makes it easier for those who have dietary restrictions. The Christine Wednesday evening spread is outstanding and appreciated.

I stay 150 nights a year in hotels. This is easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Carpets were filthy, room was old and not wiped down, tile in bathroom had a pink fluorescent hew from the chemicals not wiped up well. Would never recommend

I am so incredibly impressed by this hotel. My room was comfortable, well appointed and quiet. My breakfast was flavorful and plentiful. The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable. The service has been incredible from the desk clerk to the breakfast cook. INCREDIBLE!!

A nice hotel at a reasonable price. The best part of my stay was Christine who greeted me when I first arrived. She really was the perfect host. Friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional, are just a few words that come to mind. Christine is why I won't even consider a different hotel the next time I visit Tyler. Texas. She was that awesome! A++

Stayed here for 3 nights. Upon making reservations I was told I could pay cash when I checked out. Upon check out they would not take cash and charged my credit card on file. Mgr was very rude. Also on second day they did not clean room. Told me that I had to request for room service. I was not aware that I needed to do this as I was not made aware when I checked in and was not posted in room. I had to change towels and make beds myself. Had no trash bags and gave me a large trash bag for me to use. I will not stay at this Hilton and do not recommend.

Hello everyone my name is Ray and I have to tell you about my experiences with The Homewood Suites of Tyler, Tx...My family
has had our Ingram Family Reunion there 3 times and each time has been awesome...However I have to tell you about the most recent one which was August 2, 3, 4th, 2024...Mind you our Reunion has been every year in August since 1982...But this year due to so many circumstances our planning was last minute to say the least, nevertheless we reached out to Cassandra @ Homewood Suites in Tyler, Tx. told her our dates and how many we were expecting within 24 hours or less we had a great location. We can't thank her and the staff enough for the amazing stress they relieved by just providing a place to host us Ingram's...Attn: potential customers this Hotel has outstanding customer support with great energy...The air conditioning is super duper in the rooms, hallways & lobby most Hotels be cheap when it comes to a/c in the hallway not this one and I love it! Housekeeping keep my family stocked up with towels and fresh blankets the rooms was clean as a whistle...The kitchen was a plus because we played dominoes on that table and uno...We had both meetings rooms as part of our deal and they both was very helpful for what we needed to do to get done...Breakfast was off the chain fresh & hot....The pool was open and the kids enjoyed that and the basketball court they took they shirts off and was really balling I was very proud to see my little cousins take it up a notch even on vacation that was so cool...The icing on the cake was the patio area my family reunion really loves sitting on the porch for hours like till 6am really we call it the garret as a matter of fact the Hotel's we book has to have a spacious garret or we don't have anything in common so we not coming...In conclusion Homewood Suites again on the behalf of The Ingram Family Reunion we thank you so much for the opportunity to help us meet up as 1...Much Love....Baby Ray

The had tortillas for breakfast (jalapeños salsa, and shredded cheese) to go with your eggs and meat. I travel a lot and have never had hotel breakfast before this. Fantastic.

DON’T STAY HERE!!!
Arrived with a buddy for some training in Tyler. We both did the contactless check-in but got rooms on different floors. When we got there I went in the lobby to ask the receptionist, Nathaniel, if there was a room near my buddy. Not only did he not greet me when I walked in he just kept staring down at his computer shaking his head in disgust. After about 30 seconds and without ever looking up he just said “no”.
Super rude but no big deal, still had my room I had reserved and already checked-in to with the app, Room 322. Tried to find a luggage cart to haul all my stuff since I was going to be there for a week but none to be found. So I hauled my week’s worth of stuff to the third floor to Room 322 just to find that the contactless room key on my app wouldn’t open the door. I was directed by the app to call the customer service number which then directed me to go to the front desk.
So, now I hauled all of my week’s worth of stuff back to the first floor to again speak with Nathaniel. Wonderful! I explained to him that my room key app wasn’t working for room 322 to which he replied, “that’s because you’re not in 322” and just stood there staring at me with no further explanation. So I showed him on the app my room reservation and he again said “yea, you’re not in 322” and like last time stood there just staring at me. Well, Nathaniel, please explain to me what happened to my room and where am I supposed to stay now!?
Nathaniel told me the person in 322 extended and he would check to see if anything else was available. So, not only did he already know my room that I had reserved was taken but I was never contacted by either email or phone to be told that the hotel had given my room away.
To top it all off, magically Nathaniel found an available room in the same hall as my buddy which hadn’t existed 10 min earlier.
Being more than frustrated at this point I asked for the managers contact information, he looked at me, pointed to some business cards at the end of the desk and said “her name is Katherine, you can get your own card.”
I tried to call Katherine and it rang to the front desk back to Nathaniel. He told me she wouldn’t be in until tomorrow between 8-5. For two days (Monday and Tuesday) I tried to get in touch with Katherine but she never came to work.
On the second day I spoke with Christina and she was awesome. Super friendly, personable and nice.
Either Christina needs to find somewhere to work where she’s not surrounded by incompetence, or Hilton needs to get rid of the trash they have working there and promote her.
If you’re looking for somewhere in Tyler to stay…DON’T STAY HERE!!!

Before I got to my room I noticed that the carpets in the hallway are in dire need of shampooing or replacing. Got to the room and it was far under what I expected. I told the front desk of the deficiencies. No big deal, he offered a discounted rate and another room. When I got the other room, it was much worse. I’ll attach pictures of everything. I went back to the desk and said I’d rather drive further on to Dallas. The guy told me that it wasn’t a problem and that I wouldn’t be charged for the room. For some reason, he didn’t check me out of the room, nor can I do so from the app, and no one will answer the phone.

Aviod this Hotel!! We arrived at 4:00P.M. and the pictures show the cleaning from the previous guest. The cleaning staff had already left for the day and we were given sheets and had to make the bed ourselves. We were promised a complete room clean the next day, and the room service NEVER showed up. I have tried reaching out to this hotel’s manager since my stay and have received ZERO call back. Horrible stains on the sheets, pillow. Worst was the mattress. ?
