Clean room with nice LG TV. Good for quick stay over. Nice local diner in same parking lot.

Dont do it. No matter how desperate you get- it cant be as bad as this place. Theres no one in the front (even for check in), theres roaches in the tub, red stains on the bed, graffiti on the couch, and there was only two wall outlets both of which were being used by the microwave and fridge. Theres a motel 6 across the street at basically the same price. I dont usually write reviews but this is an exceptional case.

Room was pretty bad, no bed bugs but roaches were everywhere. Room had a sewer smell. Should have just stayed in my car for the night I couldnt sleep in peace. Receptionist was nice. All the other hotels n motel's were booked.

If only there was an option for Zero stars.Cancellation fee is unacceptable for unprofessionalism. I contacted Amber Sky on Friday July 9 at 1:30pm. The reason why I called was because I want to add another night using booking.com. The website informed me that I should call the property, which I did. I advise the lady at the property that I had a reservation and I wanted to add another night, that I wanted to come in early. She advised me that she would put down my name and that I would be considered a Walk In, so I gave her my name. I arrived at Amber Sky on Thursday July 15 around 2:30 am. I rang the doorbell once, no answer, rang the doorbell twice again, no answer. I called the property while I was outside of the property at 2:45am. I finally got the lady on the phone. I told her who I was that I had a reservation and that she told me I could walk in to add another night. Well she didn't remember who I was. I told her she had put me down and that I could walk in. She said she couldn't check me in until 9am but I had no where to go with a family in the car. I told her again that she said that I could walk in but she insisted she couldn't do anything until 9am. I went somewhere else to get a room for my tired family and cancelled the booking at Amber Sky on the website. So I called the property to confirmed the cancellation since I had an issue with changing dates on the website before, which lead to an argument with the lady at the property. The lady had the nerve to say that I didn't tell her who I was and that I didn't tell her I had a reservation. In the argument the lady admitted that she was sleepy and that she doesn't remember about some of the things we talked about. This is the first time I ever had an issue on booking.com. To say that I'm very unhappy with the situation is an understatement.

If I could give negative stars I would the stay there was a nightmare. The tub had a big crack down the middle they put a brick under it and covered it with tape completely hazardous!! The rug is filthy, the rooms are disgusting!!They have bedbugs!!! They were even upset that I got a cheaper deal by paying online! Word of advise..Don't ever stay there even for free you'll regret it!

very nasty MOTEL! this is a motel not a hotel beside that, restroom was disgusting and urine all on the toilet bath tub was clogged and hair all over the place smells bad roaches dead and alive all over and mold and broken tiles in the bathroom and front desk people rude

Everything was so dirty. Our room didn't even have a TV remote. We called the lobby and asked about it. They said they would get back to us, but we obviously never heard back. Took some photos of the state of the room. Won't be returning.

I guess you get what you pay for... dirty sheets, sticky bathroom floors, remote control didn't work and very outdated. The front desk lady was very nice and professional but that was about all that I liked from this stay. Don't think we'll be staying here again.

Second time getting a last minute room, and you definitely get what you pay for, the first time I ever came here the customer service seemed decent, check in was smooth, the television was not working so the manager came to see what was going on, this time though I'm not too pleased; the gentleman at the front desk, bless his soul, tried getting me checked in but obviously didn't know what he was doing so he called the manager and she was on her way from somewhere, rushed into the office saying abruptly "I can get you." The rest of check in went well. Then upon entering the room, a overwhelming scent of raid envelopes your nostrils, there's also a roach trap next to the fridge and dead roach in the restroom. I did end up getting my things settled and fell asleep (with my own blankets and pillows) I woke up with a headache and decided to see if they would transfer me into another room due to the rancid smell of the raid, the same manager lady who was late coming in to check me into my room, stated that since I've been in there so long they cannot tranme or refund me. I wasn't even trying to get a refund, only to change rooms, mind you it has only been an hour which I guess is "too long" but duly noted, you DEFINITELY get for what you pay for when you're booking a last minute room.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We checked in at 7pm went to the river came back an hour and a half later. We wiped down the surfaces of obvious places that would be touched just to come out with a filthy towel and a rapper of some sort left next to the TV. We went to complain and get a refund only to be told that no manager would be able to get a hold of just an email and the receptionist even told us that she text the manager and hadn't heard from her all day. Finally called the cops to make a report still no refund available. Only thing we can do is make a report to the health department of Uvalde and hope they start sanitizing their rooms especially with a 2nd wave of Covid hitting.

We checked in after 8 pm and showered and noticed there were 3 cockroaches around the room.. towels had stains all over them, toilets hadn’t been clean in a long time, and in the other room there was bugs on the bed, on the towels, hair in the drain. We turned in our keys @11:30 last night. Noticing they had no proof of what time we checked in, we only got one receipt of our rooms. There service was extremely unprofessional as we tried getting some sort of compromise your employees started yelling in the middle of the street this morning, continuously talking back extremely rude. We stayed in room 103 & 128. Most unprofessional business I have ever seen. DO NOT STAY HERE
