I'm not a big fan of anything downtown Waco. The kid answering the phone needed to button his shirt. Also my customer was shorted her spring rolls. It would of been nice not to of paid for them but I was charged regardless. Perhaps the menu should be explained better online. I personally won't eat there.

Amazing Panang Guy and Spring rolls! I have eaten Thai food a lot over the years and I would highly recommend!

Bangkok Royal serves consistent and good food. I've ordered most of the items on the menu and haven't had a bad meal. The service is excellent along with the food. This restaurant is our favorite Waco place to eat!

I went here with some friends so we had a party of five! I got there a little late, after they had ordered appetizers. I was never asked what I wanted to drink, or given a menu I had to use one of my friends. The food was good and I finally got a glass of water only for no one to come back and refill it. We were at the restaurant for quite awhile and we never received our checks. We finally got tired of waiting and seeing no one around that we walked up to the front to pay. The cashier was apologetic and had to wait for staff to tell her what we ordered. This was my first time here so I am not sure if this was just a one-time thing or a regular occurence. Based on my first impression, I will not be back. There are some great restaurants in Waco. I highly recommend the Clay Pot (serves Vietnamese food) they have never let me down.

First Thai experience was good. Nice vibes and even better service.

So amazed at how good the food was and how nice the atmosphere was. I have lived in Waco over 30 years and have never been to Bangkok Royal and now I am looking forward to going there often. Most Asian food in town uses soft mushy pieces of chicken or beef but Bangkok Royal uses real chicken with a nice texture.

Unfortunately, very disappointing, egg rolls crispy-tasteless & greasy.

I had the green curry dish with chicken and shrimp. It was not too spicy and very flavorful. The waiter was very attentive and served our group of 10 very quickly. Would highly recommend this place.

Affordable lunch specials...since this convenient to my workplace, we go there for lunch. I always get their pork thai fried rice special for $6.95, which also includes a bowl of really good chicken ginger soup and a spring roll. The fried rice is very good with a decent portion and the included soup and spring roll is a nice touch. My co-workers always get the chicken penang curry and pineapple fried rice.

My husband and I were hesitant to give this place a try after quickly glancing at a few of their reviews, but we were right outside and it smelled delicious. We gave Bangkok Royal a chance and I'm so glad that we did! It was pretty crowded inside and I can see why -- it's really good! I ordered the Tom Kha Kai soup (coconut, cilantro, lemon, chicken) and it was the most flavorful soup I've had in a long time. My husband ordered a chicken entree (I can't recall which one) and a sampler appetizer that included a variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. This was our last stop on our day trip before heading back to Dallas, so I proclaimed it a celebration. You can't have a celebration without champagne, so we ordered a bottle which was only $9! It wasn't a large bottle but not the small single-serve ones either -- just a medium-sized one but we were able to get about 2 full glasses each! Such a great price! If you're looking for Thai in Waco, Bangkok Royal is your place. Now that I'm thinking about it, this may be the best Thai I've had since living in Texas and I've been to at least 8 different spots. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

What a great find while in Waco on company business. Very nice atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, and great food. I really enjoyed the fried egg rolls appetizers. They were cook perfectly and filled with flavor the sweet spicy dipping sauce is amazing! For my entree I indulged in the Pad Kee Mao and it delivered. If you are looking for flavorful, seasoned, and cooked well Thai look no further!

Best Thai in Waco! The egg rolls are always crispy and the entrees are great! Enjoy the cleanliness of the restaurant as well. Another bonus is the waiters are on top of it always refilling your drinks.

Went there on the way back from Austin to dallas. Had decent menu options for lunch and the taste of food was also good. Taking one star off as i felt that the place is slightly understaffed to handle the number of people it had (although there were quite a few empty tables). Service time could be improved although the staff was courteous

We really enjoyed this spot. We ordered hot garden ( vegetarian dish), pad thai, penang curry and chicken fried rice. Everything was really good. Penang curry was the clear winner.

Love this Thai food! The Pad Thai is wonderful!

Service was amazing, I have had the opportunity to be to many tai restaurants in the country and my favorite meal is the steak salad or any salad. This was the first time I've had the salad mixed with mint leaves instead of cilantro and my palate just couldn't do it. Mixing mint with meat was a no go for me. Everything else was awesome about the experience :) kind workers etc.

This place is a great dinner spot, good for a quiet date or family gathering. Delicious food, solid take out and good prices=somewhere we will eat on a regular.

During a visit this city for vacation. Have only one Thai restaurant in town so we decided to check it out. It was a really nice service and delicious food. My husband gets "Phuket Spicy" and I get "Pad Kee Mow" which was showing on the menu "most popular" and we were not disappointed. Recommended to anyone.

Bangkok Royal has become a staple in my Waco meal rotation. Is serves excellent food in a nice setting with helpful, laidback staff. The lunch specials are a crazy good deal, unlike anything else you’ll find in Waco. I have tried about 20 different dishes and I have yet to be disappointed.

We really enjoyed this spot. Great food and service. Ordered Green curry with chicken and husband got the Pad Thai. Both really great!

Great Thai, but if you come for lunch, you may find yourself at a Whataburger later. Very small portions. The Tom Kha is delicious. The coconut ice cream is, as the kids say for some reason, DA BOMB!!

Food was decent, service was terrible. 1 or 2 waiting staff for the whole place. Took me 15 minutes to wait in line to pay for the meal and asking them to bring me the check 5 times.

Great place to get some Thai food on your stop to Magnolia! The appetizer came out really fast and was delicious. My husband and I shared the drunken noodles and it was definitely more than enough to share between the two of us. The service was also very friendly and attentive. It's a great place for authentic Thai food!

I like this place. I usually go to a place in temple for my Thai food (mee mees) but this is a good enough stand in to save the 45 minute drive. Service is good, food is tasty and the lunch specials are cheap. I have no complaints but Its not the best I've had so 4 out of 5 and I would recommend it if you want to try some good Thai food.

This place is one of our local favorites, and one of the only in Waco for authentic Thai food. We have explored the menu pretty thoroughly, but I have gotten in a rut ordering the Pad Thai every time because it is hands-down my favorite with all the fresh spices, and I like it hot! Nice, quiet and family friendly environment with friendly staff. If you're in the mood for good Thai, then this is definitely worth a try.
