Uno Pizzeria & Grill is a pizzeria restaurant chain that is franchised in the United States. It is owned by the Uno Restaurant Holdings Corporation. The Uno Pizzeria & Grill restaurant chain is most famous for its Chicago-style deep dish pizza and a number of unique type of specialty pizzas. The very first Uno Pizzeria & Grill was opened in 1943 by a man named Ike Sewell. It was founded in Chicago, Illinois. The company claimed bankruptcy emerged to open a fast casual spinoff, called Uno Due Go. The new restaurant chain features pizza, sandwiches, salads, and bakery items. There more than 100 locations as of 2017, mostly in airports and universities, with one in downtown Boston.
