Poor customer service. Felt rushed through selecting & fitting our Old West costumes. Pictures were OK. After selecting & printing 2 photos (out of 50-60?) to keep, we decided we would rather have the more expensive digital package of all the photos (provided digitally). The photographer would not give us credit for the 2nd photo he printed. Because of this, we did not upgrade to the more expensive digital package and he did not make the extra money he would have made if we had upgraded. We both lost. Very disappointing.

Expect long lines and people everywhere (bathrooms, gift shops, all the usual places you want photographs... there will be a wait. The Visitors Center was still horrifically packed after 4:30pm. That said, there is nothing else like Bryce?!?! Gorgeous! Stunning! Breathtaking! We stay in Panguitch, about 30 minutes out to save money on lodging. Definitely visit but plan accordingly to allow you enough time to enjoy it!

There isn't really much to this visitor center accept a chance to get recommendations from the park rangers and use the restroom. Still a neccessary first stop when you get to the park.

Reasons so many people stop at the Bryce Canyon NP Visitor center: 1. Sign up for Ranger-led hikes and events 2. Pick up park and trail maps 3. Buy souvenirs or last-minute supplies -I replaced my 15-year-old warped 4" Swiss Army knife with a beautiful, Bryce Canyon NP one -Bought a soft, cotton t-shirt that I get compliments on each time I wear (camper van with view of Bryce hoodoos through its open side doors) -Bought shoe chains to hike much more safely and comfortably in compressed, slick snow 4. Use flush toilets 5. Refill water bottles 6. Gather some hot tips on anything from trails/trail conditions/closures to birding to night skies from the rangers before getting started 7. Send final text/hiking itinerary to loved ones while still receiving cell service. 8. Show your trail marker photos/rubbings for a secret prize ;) 9. Get your NP Passport stamped A great resource - we are always sure to make a quick stop at the National Park Visitor Centers if for nothing more than to grab a map and take a quick restroom break!

This visitor center has a wide range of souvenirs & there are a lot of park rangers (inside & outside, depending on what busy season you go to the park) who are there to help you make the most of your experiences with whatever hiking level you are. There are bathrooms & water bottle fill up station. If it gets too crazy inside, they also have an outside (by the entrance) quick souvenir set up. A lot of folks park their car here to take the shuttle around the park. Some of the hikes here have limited parking so it's best to take the shuttle unless you don't mind driving or searching for parking. We definitely stopped here for the souvenirs & to speak to the rangers about the best time to visit certain hikes.

Bryce Canyon National Park is so breath taking. I have grown up coming here but never experienced it in the winter before. It was so pretty seeing the red rocks covered in snow and hiking out to the view points. It can get a little chilly at the viewpoints when the wind is really blowing. It is an amazing place to visit with families or even as couples or individuals. I would say that it is a must see.

Horrible park rangers, at the entrance that were telling people to turn around and that the park was at maximum capacity for COVID! Don’t bother making the trip in the heat for horrible service and a$$h0le park rangers. There website has limited information and didn’t ever mention about a capacity. Don’t bother trust me! Honestly even Zion was better as far as service and other shaded hikes .

Always a beautiful place to be. Do go in summer if you don want to get heat exhaustion. More enjoyable in cooler weather.
