I would high recommend this gym to my gym rat professionals. So for any of my gym babies out there (like myself) start with a trendy gym lollXcel is absolutely wonderful otherwise! It is very clean, weights are organized, locker rooms are beautiful (steam room only 12am - 5 am I remember, to keep it clean) front desk staff is lovely and friendly. It’s set up where the turf and cross fit stuff is on the 1st floor, and then you have machines and free weights and cardio upstairs. For 100$ a month you get full access to the facility PLUS this cool massage treatment.I gave it 4 stars because like I said, this is a very professional gym. A lot of serious weight lifters come here. There is a strong sense of community here, which is lovely! As a first timer and newbie to gym life, I was intimidated and couldn’t justify spending that much on a membership yet. One day, when I’m confident and have a solid work routine I will return to this gym!

I just got into the fitness game: due to kids schedules, my lack of motivation and overall a general feeling of intimidation to walking into a gym. Upon finally getting an external motivating factor, I decided to check out Excel, due to its highly recommended credibility in overall results and keeping one motivated to come back. I was blown away by not only the etiquette and hospitality I encountered, but also found classes that worked for my unique schedule and trainers that knew their profession to get the best bang for the buck in regards to spending time there and seeing results. I'm blown away by the cleanliness and the top of the art machines that were available, and not only that, but the help I found when sometimes confused on what muscle groups each machine targeted. If you're looking for a new start, a new you, this is the gym for that scenario. Wish there was a 6th star to drop, cause there's not a gym in SLC that can compete with this.

Love this gym! Has everything you need and then some. Highly recommend Tyler Simper as a trainer! He single handily got me back in shape, and reignited my love for being in shape. His workouts are customized to what you are trying to achieve. His knowledge is fantastic, and he is an absolute gem of a human. Look him up you won’t be sorry!
