Stopped by Hastur Games to check it out since I just moved to the area. Pretty nice selection, store is pretty full with all types of items. However, the prices are terrible. I ended up buying a couple of their own MTG card packs. Was surprised at how many duplicates I got from just two packs, and the value of the cards was abysmal. Felt like I got ripped off when all I wanted was to support a local game store.

So many reasons not to like this place. Basically if you are spending money or talking to the staff for any reason you'll most likely have a bad experience here.overpriced with bad attitudes

These guys are the best! Always have a blast at they're pre release tournaments, they always have the best, friendliest and helpful customer service. Been trying everywhere to get my hands on Lorcana starter decks and they didn't have them initially but took down my name and number and called me as soon as they had them in stock and held onto them for me, nowhere else offered any kind of assistance like that and I can't thank these guys enough, if you're in the need for some cards games or board games or anything of the like definitely give these guys a shot, they're awesome and they won't disappoint!

Have you heard if the latest fad? The magic gathering? Well the boys over at hastings game sure have. I was very confused at what the point of this shop even was when some young bloods who would have likely lived at peasants if theyd been born a measly 200 years ago tried to make me understand the game. Unfortunately you cant teach an old dog new tricks, and I went home to kick rocks! I genuinely wish someo e built a time machine so those young men could see what its like to work the fields, that oughta put some hair on their chest! Im not too athletic either though, ill be reaching out to this restaurants manager soon to see if theyd hire a 5'6" man who weighs 250 lbs (they are well carried and im often told I look very aerodynamic)

First time in the show was for a prerelease. I was welcomed like a regular and Rory was very helpful. They are stocked full of games and singles for most trading card games. Magic the Gathering is my go-to so that is typically what I buy. Their system allows you to add cards to a list and they go and grab them for you. Super rad. Come and play here if you want an excellent game shop!

Overall, the store is pretty decent.The store has two entrances which is nice and plenty of parking. When you come in, you are usually greeted by the staff. I am not a magic or Pokémon player, but they had a wide selection for those in the hobby. My focus in game stores are the board games and they have a ton all along the wall. They have plenty of table space to play the games. On top of that, they have a very large selection, one of the largest I have seen, of demo games that you can choose from. Then they have an area for D&D and a little bit of war hammer. The store does a really nice job in try to balance and get all elements of tabletop play for everyone. They also have snacks and drinks you can purchase. My visits to this store have been mostly positive and good to great experience.Some of my critiques are:The place is dimly lit and gives a dark gloomy basement vibe. The tables, some are covered in a cloth that does not look clean and that is confirmed by the crumbs from previous users of the table. Overall, the place feels dated and, in my option, needs a renovation that gives the place more light and makes it look cleaner and more inviting.It can be claustrophobic. There is plenty of table space but everywhere else, it can be crowded. For example: the board game demos. I love the fact they have so much, sadly they do not rent them out or sell them but with their space, one could argue they have too much. The demos sit on a main stand, with 4 or 5 shelves, which is pretty big, then it still spills out on to other shelves that help divide the play area from the board game area. Then there is a clearance game table parallel to those shelves that is usually filled to the brim with items. In addition, maybe it's bad timing on my part but it seems every time I am in the store, they seem to be always unpacking more and more shipments and have boxes and boxes on the play tables. For me, I sometimes feel like I am on hoarders tv show with everything there.Lastly, I will say, let people browse in peace. I been to several game stores, and this is the one that just seem like I am being followed by the staff and continuously being asked if I need anything. I have worked for retail, I know what the staff is doing, I know this location is not in the best area but give people a little space. Not every person that walks through the door is going to steal from store but that is how I feel and how a few of my friends have commented. I am sure the store has its reasons to push this but still, need to relax a bit.100% this is a good store, never had a bad experience here. The staff is always helpful have helped me when I needed help. They are fun to chat with and they are always willing to look to see if they can get something in for you. These are my personal critiques but having a 4.6 review shows the store is doing well for itself.

Guess they made a mistake online on a certain price of a booster box. But wouldn’t honor price. I get it. But if I ran a business I’d honor it because it’s the business screw up.
