KeyBank has completely failed me as a customer and then expects people to pay a 25 dollar account closure fee per account when legitimately the reason you wanna close your account is there awful service. I had hoped to resolve my issues with key bank in a matter of a mutual split but since I am expected to pay out my pocket for the bad service I received I hope to warn people before they effectively waste money with this bank.

I had a credit card open and a checking account they took the negative money and merged it with my account and told me I did it. Now my rent is late and I can't afford food. I would have been fine paying the minimum balance like I had been doing 2 times monthly but they said it was my fault. I'm closing my account and recommending no one use this as your bank unless you are fine getting told multiple stories and losing money cause your bank can't keep it together.

I've had repeated problems over several years with the Key Bank mobile app providing inaccurate information which have resulted in fees. Customer service and the local manager were unhelpful, providing conflicting information and explanations that conflicted with the information I could clearly see online. The manager, Tyler, recommended that instead of trusting the information they provide online, I should keep track of it myself... how does that help to track their fees that they don't tell you about in the first place? and what good is the information if they don't even trust it? I've also banked with Chase and Zion's, and never had problems like this.

There was a time key was my greatest ally. They were a smaller community bank. They made decisions based on people, not policy. I am sad to have my relationship with them possibly end but it is time to explore better options. KeyBank could have been great. The corporate change of direction has negated the ability for the "good banker" to do his or her job, something I feared when I joined thier bank when they were much smaller. I only hope they can change for the better and correct their direction before they lose to many customers.

Been doing business with Key for years. Love the business banker (Gary) and Manager (Chris) they always treats us well and even when trying to sell additional products, gives the feeling of having our companies best interest at hand.
