Great spot for trying a variety of delicious beers on the cheap. They offer samplers or full glasses. The beers are outstanding, try their unique sour and barrel-aged beers, they are also constantly experimenting and offering seasonal and limited-release brews that are always worth tasting.

Had a great tasting experience. Great variety and high quality brews. Love that you get to taste the REAL beer from the bottle instead of the watered down 5% stuff at other breweries. We will be back and the only place we brought beer home from back to Portland was you guys. Matt was an awesome host. Cheers guys!!!

Super good dark beers. I mainly stuck to their Big Bad Baptist list where they had at least ten different varieties to try. The 2 oz. sample situation due to Utah alcohol laws turned out to be beneficial for me--I like to get flights and sample many different beers when I'm traveling, so the 2 oz. samples allowed me to effectively build my own Big Bad Baptist flight. It was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by next time I'm in town.

I've been coming here since the day they opened. The beer has always been really good. Love the big bad Baptist and the variants. Epic uses all natural ingredients, not extract flavors. The quality really shows in the final product. The addition of the tasting room was a good call, and probably resulted in me buying more in the long run. Staff in the facility are super chill.

Been here many times and the beer is always good. Their Big Bad Babtista is my all time favorite but the other beers are really good too and we've always loved the people working there. Definently recommended

Awesome beers in a tiny little space.Inside there are about 20 seats include those at the bar. During busy times, it is crowded for the space and gets loud. Would be nice if they had more space. The beers are great, with a decent list of stouts. Be sure to get the Big Bad Baptist, as it is one of their iconic stouts. They don't serve food, but there is a good Banh Mi restaurant across the street that you can order from. They allow outside food and food deliveries.Parking is limited, but matches the space they have inside.Definitely worth a stop in SLC.

It has come to my attention that the Epic Brewing location that was in Denver closed. While very sad to hear the unfortunate news the SLC location remains open. The brewery was originally from Salt Lake City and from what I can only speculate opened a taproom in Denver due to less strict liquor laws in Colorado than Denver. But truth be told last summer when I stopped in Salt Lake on the way to my destination and on the way home I hit several breweries and it was a relatively normal brewery experiences in the city as anywhere else. Sure, there are some oddball things like beer on tap can only be up to a certain ABV, you can always count on being carded as soon as you walk in a taproom and you can't look at merchandise when drinking your beer. It IS still Utah but seems like it has caught up with other states in knowing they could make some money with taprooms that actually have beer on tap.Well with all that said I still recommend Epic and to go to their taproom if you can. It doesn't really matter if the ABV is low with what they have on tap because any beer you get from them will be superb. But on the other hand I do like recommend getting beer from their Big Bad Baptist series. We have had several beers from this series over the years and always walk away very impressed. The latest from this series was their Orange Stick. Yes, very similar to the candy orange sticks but only emphasizing on the best parts of it. With a deep chocolate flavor along with maltiness and coffee followed by the orange towards the end this Imperial Stout is expertly made like all of their beers. You can also find the Big Bad Baptist series and their other beers at different stores as well as they bottle and can also. I wouldn't necessarily count run of the mill grocery stores to carry their products but to devote your attention more towards bottle shops or liquor stores that carry more higher end beer like Total Wine and Beverage as an example or to check their taproom for availability if you are in the area.

Tasting room was really tiny and smelled really badly. Service (and beer) were a lot better at Kiitos, Squatters, Fisher, etc. Bartender seemed to hate his life - I hope he gets better. I won't be back

If you like craft beer, if you like good beer, if you like great service, then Epic Brewing is your place! Large selection and the bartenders are very well versed on each of their products. Various selections and one for you - just stop in and see.

Really small taproom. No food. Bartender was pretty rude - didn't seem to want us there. Beer was forgettable. Had much better experience at Fischer, Kiitos, etc.

In my opinion, Epic is an excellent no-fuss place to have a low key beer or two with peers. Their Belgian Golden Ale is flavourful and refreshing. If you fancy a heavier drink, peruse the stout selection which I’m pleasantly discovering at every visit.Deeply appreciate their 2 oz samplers so you can explore new beverages depending on how you feel that day.Love chatting with Bryan who welcomes visitors in the place; plus puppies can visit too!

Customer Service still exists! I ran into Epic Brewing tonight to grab a few beers. I was greeted by a guy who gave me a big smile and said “welcome in” with a big jovial tone! As I was picking up beers he was so cheerful and helpful and just had the best vibe. When I left, he wished me well wish to enjoy every sip of my beer, and told me to party on! Ha ha! I left there having such a good experience. I write this review because I really have been affected by some negative customer service experiences lately and I want to make sure that I give a big shout out when I have a good one. What a great hire, Epic! I hope you treat him well, because he makes a difference in your business! I’ll def be back to Epic, Not only do I love your beers, but I appreciate your thoughtfulness on the type of person that you put in place to serve your customers. Well done!
