Lotsa employees walking around in the store.... nobody seems to know anything about home installations. You can do a kitchen upgrade on their website and I got numerous calls about it afterwards but try and find some person competent to help you in the store... well, good luck

I bought bifold doors and installation services form this Home Depot store.Without consulting me the Home Depot installer bought and installed molding on my order without consulting me. I specifically did not want him to use the molding he purchased on my order.I was so frustrated with his lack of quality and purchasing, installing product I did not want that I had the general contractor I hired to paint the doors install the trim I wanted. The store has refused to make any efforts to make me whole, all I have gotten from Kim Schafer, the stores installation manager, is continued runaround, refusing to meet with me, rejecting the contractors invoice (even after calling the contractor directly for clarification) and making false claims about our phone discussions. She has gone back on her word to reimburse me the molding cost and is lying about our phone conversations when I tried to resolve this with her store.

Terrible customer service. Saw at least 5 employees walking around and on top of ladders without with the orange vest. Why are they hiding? Took me 10 minutes to find an associate to help me. Came to buy something but since the Home Depot we're hiding, I left and took my business to Lowe's. Terrible.

It's great to see the level of great customer service from Michelle and Ron. I shop there numerous times and as if they are working because I know that the level of customer service and their product knowledge is very superior than most associates! Seek them out and you will not be disappointed.

We love Home Depot and have used their services in the past for installing granite, installing an air conditioner and even replacing our flooring. It seemed like a no brained to go to them when we needed a fence. After submitting the information on July 5th, we were told our estimate would be back a week later. Then we reached out to follow up and they say they sent us the estimate--but it turns out they never did it. Trying to reach them is a nightmare. If you call you get an automatic message saying they will call you later. Every time you need to speak to someone it's like pulling teeth. We called Home Depot to figure out what is going on, but the most they did was leave a message with the fence people. So, we have been waiting weeks for an estimate that was not completed and does not seem like it will ever be completed. Other than buying supplies here, I would not trust their services.

The two stars are for the woman at the service center, who was prompt at filling my online order and very personable; and the two young ladies who finally brought the sand and loaded it quickly. But the rest of the service was crap. I waited 20 minutes for them to bring me the play sand I had already paid for. Then some kid sauntered up and told me the bags were broken and they would have to get a pallet down from above. I asked how long that would take. He just shrugged his shoulders, said he didn't know, and sauntered slowly away. I had to call customer service and ask them to get my sand loaded, which they did - another 20 minutes later. All in all, it took me 45 minutes to get six bags of sand. Service at any Home Depot or Lowe's these days is awful. I'm going to start frequenting the mom and pop hardware stores, even if they're more expensive. This is ridiculous!

I have had SEVERAL experiences at this location that make me dread coming here. Judging by the other 1-2 star ratings I'm not the only one to feel this way. Customer Service is supposed to be a given working at a store, correct? Take care of the customer, help them, be friendly and kind to them, right? We'll, this store right here, there's very few nice employees anymore. More times than not I walk out of this store upset because I did not get the help I was needing or an employee was down right unfriendly and rude to me. Get your stuff together Home Depot in West Valley. Your reviews suck, do better.

I have had both good and bad experiences. I will start with the good. I have been building in my basement. One guy was very knowledgeable and friendly when I was looking at Ryobi power tools. We talked for quite some time, actually. He also explained other brands accessories that I can use with my Ryobi. This is great for someone who has never done any kind of construction, owned anything more than a screw driver, and has no clue what they are doing. He gave me a ton of tips. I made a few sprinklers from pvc. I didn't know exactly what I needed and had never done it before. A guy came to help. He grabbed a basket and layer out each joint in the basket and mapped it out so I had a visual. Aaahhh, that makes sense. He put them in little baggy so I knew they were for one sprinkler and we did the same for the second one in a separate bag. Now for the bad. I was trying to get some drywall by myself. The first piece went OK. I was struggling with the second, knocking my glasses off. I had a couple customers and two male employees standing just watching me. They literally were laughing at me. One of them walked by and stepped over my glasses and kept walking. Finally another customer grabbed the drywall just as I was about to drop it. The two employees went about their business. That was the worst experience. I bought the outlet with the USB. There is a frame that goes around it so it is flush with the wall but I wasn't seeing it. A guy came through like on a mission and asked me if I was finding everything. I told him what I needed. He grabbed it right away, tossed it in my cart, and briskly walked away without saying another word. Well, alrighty then. Some employees are great while others need a Snickers bar.

I am a commercial driver, and I needed one pallet to be moved so I could safely back the trailer into the dock. Brenda, who works in receiving was unprofessional and said, "I'll move it if I can." Unfortunately some time had lapsed and no help with moving the pallet. I had to call again, this time asking for general manager and Kent answered my concern. I expressed my situation and didn't want to damage the pallet or merchandise. Another moment later the pallet was moved and my job was completed. If the moto is, "Let's do this". Don't tell me I'll move it if I can.

I do not recommend Home Depot West Valley, I would give 0/5. I ordered flooring to match throughout house with installation. The Home Depot in West Valley City stated to expect a call from the installers once the flooring was in stock. Within a week after paying in full the install company called to schedule the install. So, we assumed the flooring was in stock as that it what we were informed when purchasing, so we called and they scheduled a delivery. Less than 18 hours before Home Depot was supposed to deliver and 3 days before the install, we were driving 13 hours to our house specifically for the flooring as we have been working out of town, they call and say the flooring isn't in stock and don't know when it will be... a month later, today, I call again and ask them the status and they say the flooring is completely out of stock and have no estimated time, but they obviously don't care since we already paid...

Found what we needed. Customer service wasn't great, employee was more interested with playing on her phone then providing customer service at check out. Very un-professional.

Very frustrating when you come in to the store looking for a specific item and stock says there's 30. After 30 mins, 2 departments and 4 associates later no one could assist me in locating this. All I was met with was with I don't know where they're at. Duh clearly! Not one of these associates could be bothered to go that extra mile. I think from now on I'd rather go out my way and shop at the West Jordan at least they're more helpful. I should have went there instead

There was a weekend, not too long ago, when I came searching for trees. Specific trees. Fruit trees. This was in fruit tree season, and I was looking all over the valley for a dwarf peach tree. I dunno who they use as a supplier, but I have to be honest--you're going to find good prices versus a regular nursery, and you're going to get what you pay for. If you know what you're looking for, and you get there within the first day or so after the truck delivers in the spring, you're going to get away with something. However, I was a bit late and was left with what their standard trees are, and they are not the fuzziest peaches in the orchard, so to speak. Beyond that, though, I also popped in to pick up a few items that I needed for a project and though it was less than $10 worth of odds and ends, I eventually found the miscellaneous items I needed and checked out. Everyone here seemed pretty good with COVID safety measures, at least customer-wise. This was early on in the pandemic and they weren't yet having customers wear masks, though most were.
